Out of all the DIY projects videos I’ve watch, this I is the best I came across to. Very instructive and detailed and now not afraid to do it my own vanity replacement. Thank you!
One of the best diy tutorial videos I've seen. Your an amazing instructor! Thank you for the video I came here to see any tricks I need before getting started and I learned a lot more than I thought I was gonna. Thanks again keep up the great content
I am not even switching my pedestal sink I was looking for something else regarding it but came across this video. This is excellent!!! I wish I knew this man to come help us new homeowners.. I learned so many things. Thank you Sir.. this was top notch. If I can convince my hubby to switch out the sink I'm sending this video ❤
Thank you so much for posting this tutorial! One of the best I've seen and it's perfect for my current situation looking to replace a leaking pedestal sink with a vanity sink. Could you clarify the need for the shims between the vanity and the wall? Are those just filling the natural gaps or are you intentionally using them as spacers? And do the screws go through them or do they sit above the screws at whatever depth fills the natural gap?
Thank you for your demonstration. I wouldn’t use the pop up I use a strainer in the drain to prevent hair and fur from going down the drain clogging it over time, I suppose there’s a way to seal a cap or something to close off the opening in the drain pipe where the popper works from?
What did you do with the holes made by the hanger screws to hold up the pedestal bowl? Did you fill them? Why did you have to drill new holes to secure the vanity? Thanks for the info.
I'm having a hard time trying to pull the pedestal out so I can get to the plumbing! Any pointers from anyone? I don't want to break it, so afraid of tugging too hard on the base.
If you took off the screws and it is still stuck check to see if there is silicone holding it in place. If you still can't move it send me a picture I'll try to help.
@@getitdonehomerepair Thank you so much! What screws? I'm just trying to pull the pedestal back so I can see where the plumbing is leaking. When I pull the pedestal backwards, it won't budge. Again, thank you for your time!!! 🙂
@@pennychase2421 Take a look at my video at the 5:00 mark. You will see 2 - 9/16 nuts and washers . That is what holds the sink to the wall. Keep me posted.
Ahhhhh, I see! Yours was all one piece? My pedestal is separate from the bowl...2 pieces. So I'm not trying to remove the bowl, I'm just trying to get to the plumbing pipes to see where the leak is coming from behind the pedestal part. Do I still need to remove it as a whole for that? Thanks again!!
Thanks for the video. I cannot stand Pedestal sinks. Do not understand why anyone would want a sink like that, no room for all the needs that one has for grooming! Like the accent!
That trick to get the bolts out was genius! Thank you so much for doing this tutorial. You helped us out so much 😁
Happy to help!
i came for this as well!!! didnt even know what to google to get these bolts out! Thanks!!
Your tip at 7:40 - 8:45 to remove the two bolts that secured the old sink to the wall was brilliant. Thanks!

I would have used the two blots you took out to hold the new Vanity in place
Thank you!

Ty so much🙏🙏

Fantastic video! Extremely clear and concise instructions. Exactly what I was looking for. Thank you!

Are you in MA. You sound bostonian to me😁
Thank you for this video. I'm going to attempt this on my own.
Actually I'm from New Jersey but people tell me that I do have a Boston accent. Thanks for watching and listening.
@@getitdonehomerepair I thought you sounded more New Yorker ;)

You can also use plumbers tape on the threads to make good seal

The holes was just filled. We drilled new holes because they needed to be in another location.
Thank you so much. Great video!! So you don’t have to caulk the back of countertop against the sheetrock?
If it is sheet rock I would recommend to silicone. This one was tiled all the way to the floor.
From where did you purchase your vanity
Some people use clear silicone instead of the puddy is that a better choice or is it bad? Great video btw
I always use the putty. Thanks for the visit.
Besides the vanity and faucet, was there anything additional you needed to purchase? Can you reuse pipes and supply lines?
You can reuse the pipes and trap but you will need to change the gaskets .
Coldest
what is dimension of the vanity
What is the size of?
I like my Personal Trainers to be Fit and Muscled, My Chef to be Fat , and my Plumbers Old and Experienced! 😀🙃
Hahaha . Thank you I think?
Where is vanity from?
I got this one from Home Depo
