You`ve got a point. I mean what wud we do if a person we care about suddenly yelled on the phone and the call was cut. We`d call someone nearby to know about the situation and then take action if it was that serious.Of course this is considering they are in a very far away place, otherwise we wud run over there. Im pretty sure nobody wud make a journey that far without knowing the true situation. All Maya did was yelp, and it was a tad weak yell for her lol. It could have just been a bug or something, you can imagine Maya easily reacting to something like that. Pls just listen to that yell again u can picture Maya yelling like that over a roach. Phoenix cud have contacted Fey manor or someone else and seen if she was ok and then consider if he needs to go. That is the logical plan. But thats not what he did.

I have made my own meat buns before from a Japanese recipe. They were really good. The mix of spices and meat all carefully wrapped in a shell of breading.

I think this prologue alone just got me into Phoenix Wright.

It's gotten you into the wrong Phoenix Wright. the good games were Ace Attorney through Trials and Tribulation, with possibly an exception to Apollo Justice. Games have been irritating and over-the-top since then.

But that twist in Dual Destinies though. So good!!!! In my opinion, Apollo Justice felt the weakest, but was still a lot of fun.
I love how this prologue basically gets ignored in the game. The game starts out under different pretenses of events than this, so I don't understand why they went to the trouble of animating this whole thing.
Apparently it was because enough people in Japan liked and shared a comment or tweet from the developers, who said that if it reached a certain point, they'd release a special animated prologue. Just for hype and for the fans who took part in that publicity stunt, basically.
This is probably supposed to bridge DD and SoJ
In the very first in-game animated cutscene, we can see Phoenix talking over the phone while leaving the plane. The devs confirmed that was Maya calling him from a different phone and clarifying the situation. This is why Phoenix isn't agitated upon arrival (which was the only "plot hole" between the prologue and the game).

Jason cheng im not so sure about that. dahlia, yes, she is both literally and figuratively dead to him, but when it’s revealed that he had been going out with iris for those six months, he said “you are the good person i always thought you were” referencing how good they treated each other. that and he’d visit her at the detention center every month, after being at least a reluctant accomplice to a crime, so i wouldn’t say shes dead to him
I still don't get why people ship them. They obviously have an extremely sibling-like bond and is NOTHING like a romantic relationship at all. You can see they care for each other like brother and sister and tbh it's very cute

Seriously people? You're COMPLAINING about this? I entered the Ace Attorney franchise last year and I loved every single bit of it. This games looks amazing, and I'm excited to play it when I have the chance. I watched some of the Japanese game footage, and the animations, the cases and the music look spectacular. I don't even think this voice acting is that bad, nor is the animation. (I especially like the anime). Sheesh. Is the Ace Attorney fandom really this naggy? If so, I don't want to be part of it. I'm gonna enjoy these games how they are, and when Spirit of Justice finally comes out, I'm gonna enjoy it.
I won't complain. This looks really good, and as the finale of a second trilogy in the series, this is top-notch. Even MAYA is coming back. Holy cow. That's exciting.

Just finished this amazing game. Honestly one of the best Ace Attorney games ever. Love the parts where you have to put it all together at the end of each case.
I watched the video of the Geiru Toneido trial & I imagined Cristina Vee as Geiru, Amber Lee Connors as Athena, Ben Diskin as Blackquill, & Ray Chase as Nahyuta
I hope they’ll adapt “Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy” into anime in the future! But, please let Gumshoe and Franziska continue appearing in the anime adaptation.

Most of the voices are fine, but Sam Riegel is a terrible fit for Phoenix and Maya's VA doesn't really fit either, imo.

LA is honestly the most believable American setting they could have picked, there are Cherry Blossoms trees, it's surrounded by snowy mountains and there is even a Buddhist mountain monastery (referring to Trials and Tribulations). You could say the only alternate thing about the universe is the stronger influence of Japanese culture due to less restrictive immigration laws and stronger immigration, basically Pacific WWII never happening or no direct confrontation between the Japanese and Americans leading to more openness towards the Japanese.
I like how the travel transition towards Khura'in is actually what traveling to another country looks like rather than depicting Pheonix to be epically flying to rescue Maya.
