Good job!!! A great video again - this time from the beautiful Veliko Tarnovo, a city that saw a lot of splendor, gold and rise, but also a lot of horrors, blood and suffering. The old Bulgarian capital and the last bastion in the face of Turkish troops at the end of the 14th century, marked the beginning of the 500-year-old Islamic occupation of Bulgaria.
I'm loving your Bulgarian tour videos matt and molly. We're off to sunny beach for the first time in May this year. And these are very helpful. 👍Thanks again
By the way - one of the towers in the fortress Tsarevets was called Baldwin's Tower. The French emperor Baldwin of Flanders, leader of the Fourth Crusade captured by the Bulgarian king (king) Kaloyan, was imprisoned there for the rest of his life after the battle of the Bulgarian city of Adrianople (now Edirne in Turkey) in 1205.
