I love that you are so raw and genuine. I also appreciate that you are not saturated with sponsored videos. I can tell that you just love to help people with skincare problems. Keep it up!
Heard of every skincare RUclipsr I watch I love all your recommendations so much probably because we both have combo/dry dehydrated skin.. your a d my preferences align so perfectly 💙
Kelly, I so appreciate your skincare journey. I can relate to so many things you have experienced from having an impaired skin barrier, to showing sensitivity to essential oils and seeking to cut out fragrance. Your recommendations and suggestions help me choose products with confidence.
I'm really glad that sharing my journey has helped! I know it can be confusing, frustrating or just plain overwhelming at times trying to find the right products, so I'm really happy I can help you! 💕
I really appreciate these thorough reviews. Not only do you point out key ingredients and their purposes but you also explain your reason for why you do and don't endorse items as well as your actual, long term experience. It's soo much more meaningful than "reviews" that simply advertise new products and their selling points without evaluating the actual pros and cons. I feel like i can learn more about the logic behind building a kbeauty routine.
Hey Kelly, love your channel and your recommendations, you explain things very well and I can tell you put a lot of thought into them, I really really appreciate that!
Ive found that cream skin refiner & cerave moisturizing cream pairs extremely well together!! Very hydrating without a greasy look or feel and fungal acne safe!
Another awesome video, Kelly! I bought the Keep Calm toner on your recommendation and could not be happier. I’ve actually started using the toner all over my body as I’ve found it really helps my eczema. Will definitely be picking up the serum next :)
James Welsh showed these silicone reusable face masks that provide the occlusive layer so u put ur serum or essence or toner or a real hydrating cream and then put the mask over it and wear it. It really helps the cream sink in and when ur done u wash the silicone mask off and hang it up 🤷🏽♀️ I got one! I love it!!! My skin has felt so hydrated!! Even using tretinoin.
Kelly been watching your channel for 12 months now... and have purchased several of your recommendations... and all items have exceeded my expectations... the best was the shampoo and conditioner... as my hair is colored and very dry ... these products after one treatment got my hair back to were it was one was... thanks for everything... and I hope 2020 bring you all you wish for and more...
Amazing video as always! I'm currently using the Tiam toner and the texture reminded me so much of the original Klairs toner. That said it is surprisingly less nourishing than the Klairs one but for me it's just right for layering about 4 skins during summer and my experience has been great! I love loveee the I'm from Honey mask, and i remember doing the same thing buying a replacement when i ran out of it. I settled for the Etude House Honey Cera mask and it's also quite good, esp for its price. It does have some fragrance/alcohol in it though they're pretty low on the ingredients list.
How about a this or that between mishha first treatment essence vs neogen dermalogy microferment essence amore pacific vintage extract vs is & tree green tea fresh toner
Cream skin for the win I love this stuff I Can agree with you on this you do not need to layer it up my skin drinks it up and loves it it pairs well with neogen essence thanks for recommendations I Love both products
I love your videos ❤️ I just emptied out the Cosrx salicylic acid gentle cleanser, with out it, my skin is very acne prone, but it's still so sensitive, so this product is perfect for that, a few times a week.
I just replaced the Cosrx BHA blackhead Power liquid. For my oily skin, this will be a forever repurchase because it’s keeping the pores on my nose so clean.
For the Laneige Cream Skin Toner, they came out with a quick skin pack! So if you don't want to use up as much of your toner to soak cotton pads, the quick skin pack is literally a pack of pads that's already soaked in the product! Super quick and efficient :)
Klairs unscented toner was my introduction to hydrating toners, so I honestly had no idea if it was even okay or not. Then I tried other toners and just couldn't fall back to the klairs. Like you said, it's okay but there's no wow! Lol
I also recently emptied the honey mask too. Luckily I got it and the full sized mugwort mask on sale. I want to try those keep cool products but have a few things I need to use up first. I feel you about waste. Cream skin sound like heaven for winter.
Nice, I'm From products can definitely be found on some decent sale prices if you're lucky or patient enough! So many products, so little time, but it's good to focus on what you have first and the wishlist will always be there when we're ready!
I love watching your videos! Your opinions are always so genuine. I need to purchase a toner for the cold and dry winter months in Canada, not sure which one to purchase as they all sound pretty good. Which toner would you recommend out of the 3 you mentioned. Thank you
Definitely look into the Tiam Vita b5, that one has a good amount of watery hydration with that extra touch of moisture/nourishment for those icy days!
I have unopened iunik vitamin toner. I wonder if it has any essential oils. I am glad I am not the only one having a hard time emptying the klairs toner.
Definitely check, but I'm pretty sure the iunik vitamin toner is EO free! The Klairs is weird because it's a good, solid product but I just don't get jazzed to use it!
Hi Kelly awesome video!!! I noticed that on your Instagram u have the AmorePacific single vintage extract. Will u be repurchasing that again and is the hefty purchase worth it? Thanks 😘😘😘
I'm actually going to be covering that in depth soon here on the channel! I'm not sure it's worth the money, it's fantastic but I don't know why it's that expensive. (product is good so if the price isn't a sacrifice for you and you know that essences don't work miracles, then it's wonderful)
Hi Kelly, I found out and fell in love with k-beauty about 2 months ago. And mostly due to your lovely videos. And I have to confess my whole skin care routine at present is inspired by you... About the big Cera Ve - i guess it can mainly be used for the body due to the huge size. I intend to purchase it but only because i was not able to find any k-moisturiser for the body at a decent price. But maybe you will find a good one eventually and recommend it to us...
Oh I'm so happy to have helped/inspired! Glad you're loving your K-beauty journey so far! Cerave is nice on the body, I also really like curel body lotion products. I've not tried many Korean body products but I've been thinking about maybe trying to find a good selection for review because non-face products could be interesting!
@@KellyDriscoll Yes, very interesting. As you said once, we will have a very young face on an old body... We need some good k-products for our body too...
I like very you make sure you use the products with good ingredients. I try now to start doing it. I wanted to ask, what about PEG??? Do you avoid them?? They are dangerous???
I just purchased the Illyoon, and one difference I notice between it and the CeraVe is that I like to mix Marula oil in with my moisturizer rather than applying oil separately. I didn’t find that the CeraVe cooperates well with mixing, but the Illyooon does. Yay! I also just bought the Keep Cool and Soothe toner. I haven’t opened it yet because I just started a bottle of Soon Jung. #brokebuthydrated
Oh super interesting the illiyoon is better for a little oil mixing, that will come in handy this winter!! 👍 Broke but hydrated is right! I'm itching to order a new toner (just more curiosity than need) but I've got so much more to work though!🙈
Hi, I haven’t completely gotten rid of essential oils in my skin care routine just yet.. but I was wondering which toner you would most recommend? COSRX Centella toner, Purito Centella Calming Toner, I’m From Rice Toner?? I bought all of these during a yesstyle sale a few months back. Can I layer multiple toners? Also, I’m currently using the MISSHA first Essence.
I really was impressed with the purito centella toner! You certainly can layer toners, I usually pair 2 with difference consistencies, e.g a thin and watery one with a thicker jelly texture toner.
I just emptied my last DE CFirma, but I’m going to try the Maelove Glow Maker for now, since it’s a lot less expensive. Lately CFirma has been oxidizing too quickly, I buy it and it’s already getting dark. What’s your vitamic C serum of choice?
C firma oxidizes sooooo quickly, very disappointing. I've loved Klairs vitamin C for a long time but now looking for an essential oil free alternative. The neogen vita C powder is 17% ascorbic acid and easy to use (plus no oxidization), I just haven't used it consistently enough to know if it's a fave product!
This was interesting, I may try the bamboo serum and toner since sometimes I get itch on my neck and I really can't put my finger on what is doing it (recently I began using the Purito vitamin C serum, maybe my skin is getting used to it still) I get nothing else but a small itch so maybe that can help me
Do you probablg use a jewelry like a necklace? Maybe you're allergic to it? Coz I experienced the same thing and I found out that it's coz I was allergic to the fake gold necklace I often wear. 🙁
Humm it's been 2 days now with the itch, I wasn't using any jewelry so I really have no clue 😅 I'll give my neck a rest from any actives for a while and see. Only a calming ointment for a while.
Depends what you need your toner to do, but when I'm overly dry I actually like to use 1 watery toner (soon jung relief or keep cool or tiam vita b5) along with a moisturizing toner like laneige cream skin!
I totally agree with you about clearing out Essential Oils our of my routine. Even Rose water is a fragrance and I cannot use those anymore. It’s amazing how vastly unaware I was about a lot of the ingredients in my skincare. I have totally cracked down on what I’m using and I did purchase the Illiyoon ceramide lotion you mentioned in one of your recent videos and I cannot wait to try it out. I did buy it to use for my face which isnt that where you use it most or is it safe and light enough for the face? Thanks Kelly 💜💕🙏
I use illiyoon on my face, yes! It's meant for face and body, hence the bigger size! I too was in the dark about many ingredients and the thing I've noticed about the essential oils, my experience and others, is that you kind of just have to experience it to know if you're sensitive unfortunately (and we both know that can be a long process).
Kelly Driscoll yes!! I would never had known and I honestly attributed so many other ingredients that I’m not sensitive too, because I was unaware of the sensitivity to EO’s. I was embarking on a Tea Tree oil journey thinking that maybe this would help and it also was not my skins fave. But only clear skin and good days ahead, I hope. With retin-a and a few other mild ingredients here and there my skin is turning around thank the Lord 😍😭
Kelly, how many drops of the Laneige cream skin refiner would you say constitutes One layer? I had the same experience as you. Too much makes my skin look and feel greasy.
I was excited to get the CeraVe TubS at Costco and omg I can’t handle it. I have oily skin get some dry spots in beard. It’s just too thick and my skin does not love it. Even on my body I don’t like it on the driest spots. I do love the PM moisturizer and I’ve been using that lately. I do use a lot though. I like to layer it at night when I wake up for bathroom or water I’ll put more on 🤟
Tainted Life I have found that it’s best absorbed into wet/damp skin. My oily skin drinks it up with no film or greasy feeling left on the skin. If that doesn’t work maybe it might absorb better over a hyaluronic acid serum

Yass, that's such a great product! 👍

Swanicoco has been catching my attention lately, they seem like a really interesting brand!

Yes I have these but I'm not a huge fan of the shape, they do save me from busting through my CSR though! 😂🙈

I emptied the acwell toner. It was ok but I’m preferring the bamboo soothe toner that I just started
Ooo Bamboo toner is so good, love that stuff! Acewell is very popular, shame it wasn't impressive.
Hi Kelly ,great video👍👍do u know any good BHA'S?
Hmmm, I do like the cosrx black head power liquid!
Can you try out and review japanese skincare? They aren't as popular as korean, but a lot of them make me so curious!!
