Purito has released an unscented version of the buffet serum :)
Purito just released their comfy water sun block in essential oil free version!! 😱
Yasss! So glad they were able to go essential oil free for the comfy water too!
Can you please please please make this into a series?? I’m always looking for alternatives that measure up to the ones with EOs!
YES! I definitely plan to share more as I discover them!
you inspired me to go fragrance and essential oil free and i also replaced my ahc and klairs sunscreen with the unscented purito one, but it is a struggle to find a similar product to the goodal vita c serum... hope more brands will listen like purito to their customers
Yay, I'm so happy you are trying it out! I can't wait to hear how your skin does! I'm not super familiar with the Goodal vitamin C but I know Purito offers a 10% vitamin C that doesn't have essential oils or fragrance, might be worth a look!
I’ve tried not using my skincare with EO and use the ones that doesn’t contain any EO and it totally made sense. my skin is behaving real good. mostly on the cheek area around the nose where I usually get redness and red bumps.. I totally agree that the process of looking through the ingredient list is pain in the a$s 😩 but is really helpful in the condition of our skin mostly with those of sensitive skin. 🥰
I'm glad that it's working well for your skin, definitely a process to figure out and do but well worth the effort!
I’m so glad that I found your channel because off late I’m on the hunt for essential oil free products and not gonna lie, it’s so hard to find the right ones! 😅
Thank you for this video 💯
You're so welcome, glad it was helpful!
Kelly, I have the iUNIK serum and the Skinfood one. Should I bother using up the iUNIK one? 😅
Among other things, essential oil can also be caustic when exposed to sun or can cause sun sensitivity when used overtime..i had bad experience with Saje roll on products when I took them to Mexico:(
Oh no, sounds like you learned the hard way! They are just better left out of skincare, I think!
OMG I had the same thing in Morocco with Saje roll on as well!
Thank you so much for this Kelly!! You’re awesome! I’ve had such a hard time finding K-beauty products that are essential oil free because I have such sensitive acne prone skin, they irritate me a lot of the times. So thank so so much because it’s good to know which products you think are good to use that don’t contain them. 🥰🥰
Really glad this helps! At first I didn't think there would be many EO free choices because you're right they seem to be in so much! But I think I'm starting to find a really good mix of EO free products, so happy to share them here!
Kelly Driscoll yes me too! Up until a few month ago I didn’t realize that half of my skincare and sunscreens had EO’s in them and I was so upset. I’m very sensitive to chemical UV filters so I can only use mineral and I have the Purito comfy water sunblock and while it is a mineral spf, it has lavender oil and one or two other ones which frustrates me. If I didn’t get break outs from chemical filters I would have loved the Purioto centella oil free sunblock 😭😭
Fantastic video. I have Rovectin mineral sunscreen which would be just perfect has it not a lots of lavender oil in it. Purito here I come!
I don’t typically have issues with most EO’s, but it definitely depends upon the EO. I enjoyed this video - very good info to have. Thank you!
I'm glad you enjoyed this one! I know EO's can definitely be a mixed bag for some and not a problem for others, that's why they are so dang confusing!😂
Would you please consider reviewing the Kikumasamune emulsion ... and compare it with the Illiyoon cream? They both have similar beneficial ingredients and price ... 🙂
Thanks for the suggestion, I'll have to take a look at the Kikumasamune emulsion!
@@KellyDriscoll Looking forward to hearing your enlightened opinion... ❤
@@KellyDriscoll Could you please have a look at the Meishoku Ceracolla Lotions as well? They have ceramides in the ingredient list!
As for the Iunik Propolis Synergy serum - I know there is the Bergamot essential oil listed, but I never did smell it in the product. I love the serum and I have always asked myself, whether or not the essential oil is in fact present in it :-)
And regarding centella - A'PIEU Madecassoside Ampoule is very interesting for me. Nothing but the centella extract and madecassoside. Simple, powerful and no essential oils :) Have you ever thought about trying out this one?
Haha I know it doesn't have that heavy bergamot scent to it! I didn't know the ampule from apieu was essential oil free, will have to look into it, thanks for the heads up!
Can you do video on glow recipe products? Please
It’s definitely hard for me to find products without niacinamide! It’s always disappointing when i want to try a product and it’s in there. 😊
Hi Kelly! Great video for fragrance fearers like me lol. The Illiyoon product looks so interesting 😱 your review definitely has me interested. Do you think it’s worth it to get the Illiyoon one and the Etude house Soon Jung Cica cream? Just wondering if it’s worth it to get both, if they’re comparable, which one do you think is better? Thanks! ❤️☺️
I'm currently using both and I've noticed that the etude house one is lighter in texture and I sometimes grab that over the illiyoon in the morning when I just don't need a medium weight cream like the illiyoon. If you need a more nourishing medium weight cream then illiyoon will serve you day and night easily but if you kind of go back and forth between needing more moisture and some days less then the soon jung might be a good one to also have on hand.
Hi Kelly!
I am enjoying your videos, but feel overwhelmed by so many products and layers of skincare. Since the skin is a barrier, do you think the last layers of products get through or maybe just the first ones?
There is definitely only so much the skin can absorb! You have to do what's right for your skin, 8 layers might work for me and 3 layers might work for you! The best thing you can do is listen to the feedback your skin gives you and make adjustments as necessary!
Just discovered your channel, and I've been watching your past vids too subbed!
Thank you so much for the sub! I'm really happy to know you're enjoying my videos!
Amazing video!!
Are the new recommendations fungal acne friendly? Meaning, can people with fungal acne use these?
I'm so glad you tried out the Illiyoon cream because I heard a lot of great things about their Ceramide Ato line! Do you know if the cream would cause milia under the eyes or clogged pores though? I'm thinking of using this cream in the winter when my skin needs a heavier moisturizing layer. (I have sensitive-combination skin)
I don't suffer from milia so it's hard to say, I haven't seen an increase in clogged pores using this though!
Hi! Loved the video. Can you please recommend an oil cleanser to remove makeup that’s essential oil free? I’m currently using Heimish all clean balm- it’s good but is full of essential oils. Thank you
Check out the hada labo oil cleanser, fragrance and essential oil free!
@@KellyDriscollThank you! I'll definitely check it out
Hi Kelly :) lovely video as always :))) have you tried by any chance the mugwort essence from tonymoly???its 3 years old fermented 100% mugwort essence and is a tad cheaper than the hanyul, missha and im from :) its on my radar $_$
Super intriguing! I actually hadn't heard of this one yet, but looks pretty good! Thanks for the heads up!
@@KellyDriscoll :) i thought you should know :))) also, elizavecca has a fermented 100% centella essence
I’ve gone mostly essential oil free, but I can’t give up my purito Centella serum! 😂 It’s very soothing and refreshing.
That's so good you've cleared most out! It's hard to clear everything out all at once, can take time to find replacements for favorite products!
We are right on the same page yet again. Especially going into winter when my skin can be more prone to being easily roughed up, I’m really trying to clean up my skincare shelf. I recently made the same sunscreen swap. Purito for the win!
Have you tried Etude House’s Soon Jung line? They’re not super sexy, but my skin absolutely loves the toner and the Cica Balm. Sometimes bland is perfect, especially for those “supporting role” products.
On the other end, I picked up some Ceramadin cream at Marshall’s because it was a great price and I’ve heard rave reviews. I didn’t read the ingredients before I bought it. Why put citrus oil in a product aimed at barrier repair? 🤷🏼♀️ That’s going back.
I honestly have a deep love for more minimal products, I've just started to use the soon jung toner which is an immediate win and the 2x barrier cream which has been a lovely discovery too! Oh Dr Jart, I do not understand why they always seem to be harboring alcohol or essential oils...
Thanks for the video! This was a good one. I’m also going to have a hard time saying goodbye to the purito buffet serum, but I’m getting started with a prescription retinoid, so I want to remove any potential irritants. Have you tried any of the other purito serums? On their website, the galacto niacin 97 Power Essence and pure hyaluronic acid 90 serum both claim no artificial fragrance and no essential oils up front. And, looking through the ingredients of the snail serum, I don’t think it does either. I’m thinking of switching to one of them once I finish the buffet, but was curious if you have any experience with them.
I haven't tried them yet but their niacinamide is high on my list because 5% niacinamide is just about the perfect amount in my opinion! The snail serum is also essential oil free and high on my wishlist!
@@KellyDriscoll Cool cool! Yeah, I'm leaning toward the galacto power essence because of the niacinamide, too (I'm thinking it could replace The Ordinary's niacinamide and zinc serum for me). And they also market it to work well with their fermented essence (also essential oil free) that I know you've talked about in previous videos. I'm currently using the neogen micro essence, which is great, but purito is a slightly cheaper option that I want to give a go. How does the texture of the purito essence compare to the neogen essence? Is it more watery than the purito centella toner?
Oooh love this video concept! Are the brands Keep Cool and Soothe and Illiyoon cruelty-free or are they tested on animals?
Neither brand is test on animals (no Korean manufactured brand can be by law). However illiyoon is part of amore pacific which sells in China and I'm not sure if keep cool sells in China, and as you may know China has a different set of standards for imported brands.
Can you please share your haircare routine? Do you use k beauty products?
I don't do much! 🙈I've been using Shiseido tsubaki extra moist (red bottle) shampoo and conditioner for years as well as the Mise En Scene hair serum when my hair is damp. I briefly talk about them at the beginning of this video: ruclips.net/video/WTXghVBBXo4/видео.html
Heh Kelly i have a question. Im thinking of buying the 4th generation 1st treatment essence from Missha. It has double fermented cica, rice ferment, ceramide, cholesterol ,niacinimade... all great ingredients but it also has vinegar and pearl powder. What do u think of those last 2 ingredients in skincare? Thanks ,great video!!!
Vinegar is used in lots of skincare products and considered a fermented ingredient, I don't believe when formulated in a cosmetic there are any concerns of harshness. Pearl is also used a lot (particularly sheetmasks) for brightening. I don't think there should be any concern about the ingredients, I was looking at the new version myself as it looks really good!
Kelly Driscoll Ok thank you!!!🤗
Hi! I'm Brazilian and I'm a new subscriber here! I'd like to know why do you decide for this essencial oil free journey? I don't find a vídeo that explains that and I'm very curious about It! Please tell me! 😘
Hey! Essential oils actually caused prolonged irritation, dryness, dehydration and increased sun sensitivity on my skin! clearing them out for just 2 weeks resulted in healthy and balanced skin!
love love love excellent content
Yay, so glad you're enjoying it!💕
Hey Kelly, haha you been raiding my skincare stash? I have and love all of these bar the Cosrx. The Illi is my HG, i have been through numerous tubes of it, i use it as a face pack, on my face, body and it has helped my chlorine killed skin sooooo much. It really is leagues above any other ceramide moisturiser i have tried before (Cerave i is lookin at you!) Just got the A'pieu Madecassoside Ampoule as well, pure Centella :D Out of interest, what sheet masks are you using & loving that are EO free? xox
Haha we're on the same wave length! I've been thinking that I like the illiyoon more than cerave now, might be my new home base moisturizer! 👍I've recently discovered Annie's Way sheetmasks and they are awesome ingredients with a fabulous fit! I've tried all their bubble tea masks and I can 100% recommend!
That is so weird. I literally have Annie's Way jelly mask on. Their big jelly pot wash off masks I love, the arbutin and the honey and the snail
Loved all 3! Xox
Hi kelly .. can i mix the drug store products such as cetaphil bioderma with some of k beauty products?
Yes absolutely!
For those who are in the hunt for essential oil free products, a website called Skincarisma features a lot Kbeauty and provides close analysis of their ingredient lists
This can be a helpful resource, good one for those with fungal acne too! 👍
thanks
You're so welcome, Faby! 💕
great video like always. just wanted to knw abt essentil oils are they too bad for skin? when i buy a skincare i want it to be alcohal free and silicone free. but its really hard to find one with out dimethicone...
Essential oils can cause irritation on skin and the tricky thing is it can happen at any time. For me, long term exposure made my barrier weak and my skin more dehydrated! It doesn't happen to everyone but repeated exposure can cause these issues.
thank u very much plz do make a video on korean silicone free products.. thank u
Tell me about it. Its really hard. When you think it doesn't have an essential oils, it does 🤦🏾♀️
OMG I've spent so many hours getting frustrated looking at ingredients list of interesting products and finding all kinds of essential oils in them... 😣
I would give this video 3 thumbs up if I could
YAY!! I'm really glad you liked it!💕👍
