I have 2 of them with the Box and paper work I picked up years ago. I Just got in a 5 oz Cortes from SD Bullion I have been grabbing their Commander series coins.
Yeah, I seen a few of those over the years. All of the proofs were done at San Fran, and the regular uncirculated finish were minted in Denver. I don't know for sure, but I'm pretty sure that the ASW (Actual Silver Weight) was the same as the regular 90% half dollars at .3617 or .36169. That puts the melt price at $11.25 today, so you're up on that coin already. Great stuff! Keep stacking!
For sure a great deal value wise! Heck in the article it said they sold new for $8.50 if you pre-paid & $10 if you hadn't... Kind of neat also that they sort of made them to order. It's a neat coin & thanks for the silver weight my friend! Arghhh!
That is definitely a proof. The uncirculated coins didn't come in a capsule. The business strike is slightly more rare because a great many were unsold and melted.

@@PirateStacker The coin is freaking cool, I think they are underrated like most modern commemoratives. The Madison half is also 90% btw.
I need that Madison half now!
