3 yr old videos (Part 1 and 2) but great tutorial for me on Archers Advantage. I've never really dived in deep with it but the attention to detail with the measurements and the data input seems to make the difference from what you've shown. An Archery Talk thread brought me here. Appreciate your time and your enthusiasm for getting it accurate.
Just watched both parts to this video. You did an awesome job. I always thought the tapes that came with the sight were just a little off. I'll be using archers advantage from now on. Keep up the good work. Great videos.
Excellent video! My sight marks weren't working out last week and your attention to detail on the measurements ended up being the ticket for me. Checked them all the way out to 90 yards.
I find sending the long bombs makes me better at shorter ranges. Every mistake and flaw in form gets revealed at longer distances. Thanks for the great content keep it coming!
" living the life" it appears. I really like your demeanor. I'm 72 years old and have been into archery since 1963. Seen it all done it all and your comments are all right on. 👍👍
I just bought archers advantage 2 days ago. Was going to make sight tapes based of my chrono speed til I saw this! Thank you for both videos. If you come back to gloomy MI come during TAC and shoot with me son and I. Thanks again for these videos.
This is so Damn good. Man, all the questions I've had in my head about this process you answered to a T. I'm shooting a Mathews V3X and the Black Gold Pro with the exact same pin config. It's like you were literally reading my mind and bringing up specific things as I was asking them to myeslf. Great job dude, keep putting out this content. Do you have an IG account? I love when I find youtube content creators like you.
I'm an archery noob (bought my first bow 5 weeks ago) and I'm still chasing excellence in the basics. Your vids provide alot of insight and I appreciate the unasumming delivery. Other than that "Go Army, Beat Navy"...lol subscribed
These two videos are great. Just bought archers advantage and have been playing with It. Earned yourself a subscriber. I wish you lived near MS. I’d pay for lessons.
Great Series, Great Video, Great Attitude, you're a Good Man. I was stationed at Schofield Barracks back in the day -- 25th ID. See any: Rainbows, Geckos, Centipedes, or Mongeese lately ?? 😉 Carry On Sir !!
Love the content! Just came across your channel as I have my first sliding sight on order and will need to get it dialed quickly before season when it gets here. If you drop your socials in the descriptions I’ll for sure give you a follow and maybe one day we can link up for a hunt in Hawaii. It’s on the bucket list for sure!
Nice video and awesome shooting. Maybe 1 day I’ll run into you at the range and we can fling arrows together and share hunting stories. Keep up the great work 🤙
Great shooting. I'm looking at buying the çbe engage hybrid. The metal sight tapes are one of the main reasons I want it but if I have issues I'll remember this video.
Decided to stick with my sight unless someone buys it. It's the çbe tl3. I shot from 30 to 70, made reference marks and put my tape on. So far it's pin point out to 70. Haven't had a chance to test out further yet.
Thanks for the awesome and detailed explanation. Good shooting. Trying to sight in my tape. 3 pin Black Gold slider, 20, 30, 40 floater. Chrono said 279.5fps but want to do the calculation to get it dialed. Range 1 is going to be 20 Mark 0 and Range 2 will be 70+. Then caliper the distance for Mark 2. You use the same pin correct, 20 not the floater for the caliper distance? I was hitting 76 today but dialed to 80 and used my floater. Accurate at shorter ranges. Thanks in advance.
Wow I’ve been bow hunting since I was 12 I’m 32 now and can’t shoot that good of a group at 50yrds I don’t shoot anything over 20yrds I know my limit lol. let alone 100. Just found your channel very informative thanks for posting these videos happy shooting :)
For the yardage above your “floater pin” did you use your floater pin just like you would using the sight tape that came with the sight or are you still using the first pin you used during part 1 to get the min and max distances?
In the first video, I made up the numbers in range 1 and 2, and Mark 1 and 2 just to explain the steps. I shot in my actual marks a couple of days later. Call me through Instagram messenger and I'll try to help you through the steps
You’ve got to be the only bow hunting guy out there to reference Deandre Jordan while talking archery, love it
🤣🤣🤣
I loved that

Great shooting! Do you use .019 or .010 size sight pins? I’m trying to decide which size to get for shooting long yardage.
My to three are .019 and my fourth (slider) is .010
For the yardage above your “floater pin” did you use your floater pin just like you would using the sight tape that came with the sight or are you still using the first pin you used during part 1 to get the min and max distances?
My floater pin is my 50 yard pin, anything closer than that will have to be gapped like a normal fixed pin sight.
What measurement do you use when calculating your speed? Is it inches cm or what? Love the videos!
Thanks bro, using inches
Check out part 1 it will take you through step by step.
What do you use to stick the sight tape onto your sight?
Aloha, I use full sheet weather proof packaging labels. Make sure you get ink jet for ink jet printers and laser jet for for laser jet printers.
@@PrivilegedBowhunter any specifc brand?
When you input arrow length in Archers Advantage, do you include the insert? Or is it bare shaft only?
Bareshaft only
Thank you!
@@morganfox6599 no worries🤙🏿
Have you ever tried a red dot sight on your bow
Haven't seen one specifically made for a bow
@@PrivilegedBowhunter it's a company called adjustable red dot.. and have you ever heard of APA archery? they have pretty cool bows
I would take that group all day.

In the first video your speed was 277 and in this you used 266. What changed. I keep getting 275 but the tape doesn’t work.
