Got a PS4 from a coworker that was blue lighting. He thought it was a bad HDMI port. He told me I could have it if I could get it working again. Well tried a new HDMI cable, put it into safe mode and then fixed the resolution. Works perfectly now! Thank you! I now have a free working PS4!

What I do is take off the top cover, check if there is any dust. I still blow into my fan just in case. I don’t like taking off screws because I’m kinda scared ngl. At the bottom left of your PS4 there’s this place where you can slip a piece off. I also clean there, but be careful cleaning there. And with a little of hitting the back right of my PS4, it turns on. This is my 3rd time getting the blue light of death.
Make sure your RBG range setting on sound & screen is set to automatic. Having it on full with out the proper screen will give you the blue light of death. Trust

While none of your suggestions worked for me, you introduced me to Safe Mode, and after trying out other options on there, I discovered I could re-download the new software update from there. Something bugged out during the installation before, which was what had caused my blue light of death. Reinstalled the update and it was back to working again!! THANK YOU!!!
I just took mine completely apart carefully cleaned everything put it all back together gave it good love smack near the power cable input and works great being 4 years old... now my year old limited days of play one is doing this.....

@@maxitgcyou have a few options for a fault that could be the issue.. I'd say yeah change either your power wire and audio video hookup whether it be HDMI or the other and see if that solves an issue if not as I said before dust is one of the main contributors so try blowing it out before you go replacing the hard drive worst case scenario if you do deem that hard drive to be the fault. Then you replace update ect ect
It's so ironic how I just got the PS5 for Christmas and when I tried to go back onto my PS4 to play with some friends I started experiencing the blue light of death issue yesterday with an added bootloop included. Earlier today when I tried to boot it up once again it just randomly wiped my entire hard drive and I didn't even press anything for that to happen and had to download all of my files from the cloud again onto my console. After the hard drive reset it still started doing it and I also checked the HDMI cord and power cord to make sure those were not bent but there appeared to be nothing wrong with them. I'm guessing that the motherboard got fried at this point but maybe the PS4 death clock is an actual thing after all.🤔

Simply because if there's a pin or a wire that's moved/frayed but still gets connection its signal won't be as strong. The PS4/5 will consider the connection to be weak and this causing it to turn on and off or just simply sit on a black screen.
I’ve done everything man. I’ve cleaned the damn thing inside and out, properly and safely. Replaced the hard drive. Tried different cables and ports. I get blue light, black screen, then finally the CE-34335-8 error message. If it’s a motherboard issue I’d rather learn to fix that myself atp!
For anyone with this issue I changed the resolution nothing happened. I did a rebuild nothing happened. I tried to change resolution again. Ps4 restarted went to ps4 symbol on my screen then it went black then after a few minutes it popped up. Took exactly 9 mins to go to the resolution settings.So yeah My experience. Let it sit awhile while on if nothing happens after you choose resolution. So glad I did not restore to factory settings. Thank you for this video.
Mine keeps saying it wasn't turned off properly. I do the double beep and it keeps saying to update 8.03 which I have installed at least 75 times and it keeps saying the same thing. I try to play fortnite and it keeps freezing lagging and the game keeps crashing. I try to move around the main menu and the system keeps freezing. Some days it turns on just fine others it works then crashes when I back out.
Update: Uninstalled fortnite the system was working fine still a bit laggy. Reinstalled it got into the connecting for a match and it kicked me out saying the file was corrupted. Uninstalled reinstalled same thing. Reinstalled again game froze the entire system NOW I can't get past the log in screen now. It loads up freezes goes black and starts all over again without me touching anything. 😂 I have given up and plugged in the xbox. Its either another ps4 or fighting over the internet for a ps5 I refuse to reset the whole system I have my red dead 2 on there my sims 4 my goddamn Far Cry, Last of Us 2, Watch Dogs Legion yikes this is a nightmare!

Ive rebuilt database, completely re initialized the whole damn thing. Started from scratch as if brand new ps4. Reinstalled cod and still dealing with this damn bs!!!
You're not going to believe this. Took it all apart, fan was packed pull of dust and blew it everything out with compressed air. Reassembled and still got blue light. Could not get to Safe Mode screen, no video at all. Unplugged it and waited 5 minutes, plugged back in about 10 times. Nope, one beep and then blue light. As a last resort I tried a different power cable and this time I heard the hard drive spin up and it worked! I can't believe that worked. Old cable looked perfect, so I am thinking the connector on the PS4 power supply is bad and this new cord just happened to make contact a little better. But thanks, it is on for now!
Just an update for you folks. Whomever finds this message. I bought a new Toshiba 1tb hardrive and reinstalled. ZERO issues anymore with the system and COD. Cost $45 and shipped in 2 days. Wish i did this a yr ago!! 💪😎
My PlayStation just makes 1 beep and the blue light comes on, and then it cuts off and there is no light, no beep, or anything. It’s as if it’s unplugged after that 1 beep. It also won’t go into the mode where you hold it down to put it whatever that mode is. There are no damaged cables and this was caused by my power going out in my apartment one day.
Yea i took mine apart, cleaned every thing replaced the thermal paste. And it still had the same promblems. I have another ps4 for parts, but im not sure what i need to replace, or check to see what caused it to go bad. Please help
None of these worked for me but I tried restarting my system while in safe mode then it asked me to update my system software and now it works thank you for pointing me in the right direction hope this helps others
I just had the blue light of death but I fixed it by taking off the cover of the pS4 and blowing all of the dust off, then I went into safe mode and did the steps in the safe mode part of the video. Hope it helps
My ps4 kept turning itself off when i started Fortnite, it happened 4 times consecutively before it turned off and started the BLOD. It doesn’t even turn on anymore. We had a good run boys, shed a few tears as memories of the Xbox Red Ring of Death came back full circle. Im hurt but i have moved on. thank you ps4-444, maybe in another universe the disc tray actually works, maybe it’s not laggy in that universe, maybe the ps4 even turns on for that matter. thanks for reading

I was deleting games data for games I finished and wanted to clear space for new games. After I did, my system started running slow until it from. I saw that and unplugged it. Now its not turning on, the light is blinking and the console is beeping. I have it unplugged and I figured I'd try it again in the morning. After fixing: I wanna thank you for the info. I've had two PS4s with the flashing blue light of death and they both don't do anything. You can't put it into safe mode. If you keep holding the power button, the second beep just turns the thing off.
@@dailycontentcreatxor2898 Yeah after watching several videos I found out that with the launch PS4 you can try the clamp fix where you take the top cover off, add some washers, and tighten the bolts. I was able to get one fixed like that. The second one already had been messed with. The thing you tighten has foam spacers and they were missing on the second unit. So that's a goner. I have that one up on ebay selling it for parts. It's not worth that much. But it's the cost of doing business. If it's for personal use, there's so many people selling them, just pick who you buy from carefully. With PS4s I have a much higher defect rate than with Xboxes. Between the dirty rollers on the disc drives, the HDMI ports, the dirty heatsink fans, I probably have a 15-20% defect rate on PS4s. The clamp fix doesn't work on PS4 slims or the Pros I don't think. You're out of luck if you have one of those. But most of the time the problem I have with the slims is the disc drive not taking.
@@dailycontentcreatxor2898 I think you should just buy another one. The BLOD is extremely hard to fix if it's an APU chip. Check the apps. You can probably score one for around $150-200. Maybe less if you look hard and respond fast. Unless you live out in the boonies or something where it's not a big population center. Even on ebay the launch PS4 isn't selling for that much just set an alert for a buy it now between 120 and 200 I guess and pounce quickly if you get a good price.
Its been a year but I just kept messing with the hdmi cable into each hdmi spot in my tv and just kept doing it until it eventually turned itself back on

It worked for me, all I did was put it in safe mode. had to do it couple times to see which option was best, but initialization is the best option coz it worked as normal as soon as I used that option (only do this if you don’t care about losing all your data) 👊🏾💯 took me about 20 mins (7th of December 2023)
My PS4 pro will flash blue and then the screen will still be black and the ps4 still remains to be on but won’t go to safe mode or turn off unless I unplug power cord , I already swapped cable
Where I live there are power glitches, which is what I suspect happened. The controller had flashing blue lights when I hit the power button. To fix it I held down the power button on the console until the screen came on and I hit the buttons to get where I wanted to.
When I turn on my PS4 it doesn’t sound like how it normally sounds when you turn it on; there’s a couple of click noises from the fan. The PS4 logo shows on the screen but then goes black for a while. About a few minutes later I hear the main menu music (still black screen) and then error code pops up that says “the display is corrupted. The PS4 will restart” error code CE-41813-7
My PS4 doesn't give any options in safe mode except promoting me to plug in a thumb drive with the update on it but then doesn't recognize the thumb drive. 😤😤

I've had put my ps4 into safe mode 3 times, because I tried pressing the power button for 5 or 7 seconds. But instead more then one time, my console just constantly keeps powering off. It has never happened before, but can you explain why please? I'm feeling like I'm at my own wit's end.

Mine won't even go into safe mode! I feel like going outside and murdering a bunch of insects. I think the resolution is the problem, but I can't change the resolution if my screen stays blank. I'm revisiting. For some reason swapping my hdmi cables solved things. What I mean is I simply unplugged my hdmi cables and changed the hdmi slots they were plugged in. If it was hdmi 1 I plugged it in hdmi 2 and the one that was in hdmi 2 I put in hdmi 1 and everything was straight. But I am going to take all of my digital games off the system hard drive and place them on external just in case. I ordered another system as a back up just in case things still aren't straight. Can't be too careful. I managed to make this work without changing the resolution. I would still do it but I am too afraid that it might mess things up. Thank God for this because I have a lot of digital copies on my system and I don't have the internet in my home only on my phone, 50 gb of mobile Hotspot a month so to lose soo much would kill me not to mention 7 games waiting to be downloaded. I'm trying to go forward not backwards lol. At&t has got to do better because that's all they will let you get.
My issue is... When I press the power button a blue light will light up for ONE second, beep, then power off. Screen on tv doesn't change. The blue light will appear again ONLY if I replug the outlet

March 20th, 2023 Guys it worked for me i clicked the Change resolution option the one he recommended and it worked for me it would turn off by it self and so weird stuff after showing the Sony logo
In my experience about this issue.. Just move the Cover at the bottom on your console 1nce you remove, slightly press the opposite side on your Hardrive do 2 to 3 times.. Why need to press bcoz the GPU and CPU was disconnected..

As putting my ps4 in safe mode worked, but you failed to state that it can take over 20 attempts to put it in safe mode
Take off the top cover and press down firmly on the PS4. That is the only thing that worked for me (hold down for around 5 to 10 seconds)

Just an update for you folks. Whomever finds this message. I bought a new Toshiba 1tb hardrive and reinstalled. ZERO issues anymore with the system and COD. Cost $45 and shipped in 2 days. Wish i did this a yr ago!! 💪😎

My PlayStation just makes 1 beep and the blue light comes on, and then it cuts off and there is no light, no beep, or anything. It’s as if it’s unplugged after that 1 beep. It also won’t go into the mode where you hold it down to put it whatever that mode is. There are no damaged cables and this was caused by my power going out in my apartment one day.

Clean ALL the dust then turn it on if it doesn’t work then replace the thermal paste and BOOM I had the same issue bro

Yea i took mine apart, cleaned every thing replaced the thermal paste. And it still had the same promblems. I have another ps4 for parts, but im not sure what i need to replace, or check to see what caused it to go bad. Please help
I fixed it super easy, idk if it was just for me but when it was in the black screen I hold the power button for a couple seconds and it went back
None of these worked for me but I tried restarting my system while in safe mode then it asked me to update my system software and now it works thank you for pointing me in the right direction hope this helps others

I just had the blue light of death but I fixed it by taking off the cover of the pS4 and blowing all of the dust off, then I went into safe mode and did the steps in the safe mode part of the video. Hope it helps

My ps4 kept turning itself off when i started Fortnite, it happened 4 times consecutively before it turned off and started the BLOD. It doesn’t even turn on anymore. We had a good run boys, shed a few tears as memories of the Xbox Red Ring of Death came back full circle. Im hurt but i have moved on. thank you ps4-444, maybe in another universe the disc tray actually works, maybe it’s not laggy in that universe, maybe the ps4 even turns on for that matter. thanks for reading

I was deleting games data for games I finished and wanted to clear space for new games. After I did, my system started running slow until it from. I saw that and unplugged it. Now its not turning on, the light is blinking and the console is beeping. I have it unplugged and I figured I'd try it again in the morning.

I've had two PS4s with the flashing blue light of death and they both don't do anything. You can't put it into safe mode. If you keep holding the power button, the second beep just turns the thing off.

@@dailycontentcreatxor2898 Yeah after watching several videos I found out that with the launch PS4 you can try the clamp fix where you take the top cover off, add some washers, and tighten the bolts. I was able to get one fixed like that. The second one already had been messed with. The thing you tighten has foam spacers and they were missing on the second unit. So that's a goner. I have that one up on ebay selling it for parts. It's not worth that much. But it's the cost of doing business. If it's for personal use, there's so many people selling them, just pick who you buy from carefully. With PS4s I have a much higher defect rate than with Xboxes. Between the dirty rollers on the disc drives, the HDMI ports, the dirty heatsink fans, I probably have a 15-20% defect rate on PS4s. The clamp fix doesn't work on PS4 slims or the Pros I don't think. You're out of luck if you have one of those. But most of the time the problem I have with the slims is the disc drive not taking.

@@dailycontentcreatxor2898 I think you should just buy another one. The BLOD is extremely hard to fix if it's an APU chip. Check the apps. You can probably score one for around $150-200. Maybe less if you look hard and respond fast. Unless you live out in the boonies or something where it's not a big population center. Even on ebay the launch PS4 isn't selling for that much just set an alert for a buy it now between 120 and 200 I guess and pounce quickly if you get a good price.
Its been a year but I just kept messing with the hdmi cable into each hdmi spot in my tv and just kept doing it until it eventually turned itself back on

It worked for me, all I did was put it in safe mode. had to do it couple times to see which option was best, but initialization is the best option coz it worked as normal as soon as I used that option (only do this if you don’t care about losing all your data) 👊🏾💯 took me about 20 mins

My PS4 pro will flash blue and then the screen will still be black and the ps4 still remains to be on but won’t go to safe mode or turn off unless I unplug power cord , I already swapped cable

Where I live there are power glitches, which is what I suspect happened. The controller had flashing blue lights when I hit the power button. To fix it I held down the power button on the console until the screen came on and I hit the buttons to get where I wanted to.
TO ANYONE ON PSVR!!!!!!!! I found that if you install the PSVR it works only if you turn on your PSVR.

When I turn on my PS4 it doesn’t sound like how it normally sounds when you turn it on; there’s a couple of click noises from the fan. The PS4 logo shows on the screen but then goes black for a while. About a few minutes later I hear the main menu music (still black screen) and then error code pops up that says “the display is corrupted. The PS4 will restart” error code CE-41813-7
My PS4 doesn't give any options in safe mode except promoting me to plug in a thumb drive with the update on it but then doesn't recognize the thumb drive. 😤😤

I've had put my ps4 into safe mode 3 times, because I tried pressing the power button for 5 or 7 seconds. But instead more then one time, my console just constantly keeps powering off. It has never happened before, but can you explain why please? I'm feeling like I'm at my own wit's end.

Mine won't even go into safe mode! I feel like going outside and murdering a bunch of insects. I think the resolution is the problem, but I can't change the resolution if my screen stays blank. I'm revisiting. For some reason swapping my hdmi cables solved things. What I mean is I simply unplugged my hdmi cables and changed the hdmi slots they were plugged in. If it was hdmi 1 I plugged it in hdmi 2 and the one that was in hdmi 2 I put in hdmi 1 and everything was straight. But I am going to take all of my digital games off the system hard drive and place them on external just in case. I ordered another system as a back up just in case things still aren't straight. Can't be too careful. I managed to make this work without changing the resolution. I would still do it but I am too afraid that it might mess things up. Thank God for this because I have a lot of digital copies on my system and I don't have the internet in my home only on my phone, 50 gb of mobile Hotspot a month so to lose soo much would kill me not to mention 7 games waiting to be downloaded. I'm trying to go forward not backwards lol. At&t has got to do better because that's all they will let you get.

My issue is... When I press the power button a blue light will light up for ONE second, beep, then power off. Screen on tv doesn't change. The blue light will appear again ONLY if I replug the outlet

March 20th, 2023 Guys it worked for me i clicked the Change resolution option the one he recommended and it worked for me it would turn off by it self and so weird stuff after showing the Sony logo

In my experience about this issue.. Just move the Cover at the bottom on your console 1nce you remove, slightly press the opposite side on your Hardrive do 2 to 3 times.. Why need to press bcoz the GPU and CPU was disconnected..
My safe mode doesn’t work, I hold it down and get no second beep and just turns off, tried so many times

If you clean it and never unplug it while the lights are flashing. Sometimes it will freeze so let the lights stop flashing after you reset it 2 x
