Great commentary. Thanks for that. Stallone’s family had an Italian Take Out spot where I grew up. It didn’t stay open late daily because they had to have been making a lot. The food was out of this world AND there was a bakery attached. Oooh the danish & parstries. I’m talking maybe 30years ago and when they went out of business, the county was wounded! Totally enjoying Tulsa King and your reviews of the show. I'm a Stallone fan going into this and he is just so much fun to watch. Good writing, funny scenes and just a blast. Your perspective on the realism is informative and something to think about. The show is over the top but so is Cosa Nostra in so many ways. Thank you for a cool video series.
In my opinion, this is the best I’ve ever seen Stallone. He’s a great actor, and this show allows him to really act. It felt like he was playing nearly the same character in most of his movies, an angry raging guy. Now he plays a guy who is in complete control, but reveals his humanity in different ways.
First blood’s ending, several of the Rocky/Creed movies, Cop Land. Plenty of different performances than the angry, raging guy. I agree this is some of his best work though.

Don Michael Franzese! You are the Man! I am a fan Sly, but when i 1st saw a clip or two of Tulsa King, The 1st Thought was he looks like and makes me think of You!
I'm really enjoying the series, Taylor Sheridan has another hit here, and it's a whole different genre this time around. He does this by creating these larger than life characters in his shows, shows that play out as more like multi episode movies, and in doing so he's able to enlist A movie stars who want to be a part of the whole Taylor Sheridan multi-verse. I'm also looking forward to 1923 which premiers on December 18th, which of course has a star studded line-up.
Let's face it Sly is an American Icon. His presence is powerful and he is a bigger than life actor. That said, in civilian life we call it executive presence. It's teachable and with method and technique anyone can develop the skill set.
Yeah Tulsa King has become a holiday favorite this holiday season. Like you said Michael, it's entertainment. Enjoy it. Enjoy life. I was wondering if there is any way you can make a video on your workout/exercise breakdown and your diet. I think everyone would really appreciate it. Love your channel. Be blessed.
Just to add even though it takes nothing away from the scene. Tyson had already put together he couldn't be a capo because he wasn't Italian which Dwight also confirms but then that's when Tyson referenced Goodfellas and how he could be a "High ranking associate" but then that's when Dwight started trying to talk him out of it
Yeah. Henry Hill as a respected standup guy. Not so fast…I am surprised that no one has retaliated for his rolling on people. But then I have BK in my heart. I met a few standup people in my past life. Henry wouldn’t oass the test
Always enjoy your videos, Michael. Keep up the great work. I assume you're already doing 'guest speaker' gigs for companies but, if you're not, you absolutely should.

Michael, you have a lot of skill at reviewing films and series. I am enjoying your reviews of Tulsa King. I have just watched episode five, which obviously, you have not reviewed yet. It is quite a powerful episode, and the drama goes up several notches. I hope you will review that episode, when the time comes. All the stuff that you are doing on RUclips is interesting. I keep eyeing up those bottles of wine, sitting next to you. I am a big red wine drinker, of many decades. But I don’t suppose I’m going to find that in my local supermarket? I believe you were visiting a place called Maidstone in Kent, England, quite recently. I live in a place called Ashford, in Kent. About 20 miles from where you were, I believe. I hope you enjoyed your stay. Anyway, all the best, and keep the episodes coming.🍷👍
I think people mistake rules and possibilities, in a movie if a character breaks the rules, it’s not unrealistic the character just broke the rules, that’s why people in the mob die, but if it’s never addressed maybe that’s unrealism. But in terms of Tony seeing a psychiatrist obviously against the rules, but that’s the point, i imagine there was probably heaps of mobsters who were depressed and kept the fact that they were seeing a shrink a secret, it’s not that these things are impossible, just uncommon and dangerous, which makes for exciting entertainment. To assume it’s unrealistic when a character breaks mob rules is to suggest that all mobsters are loyal to the death which is very rarely the case
I've Always Loved Sly Stallone. When I Started Acting I aspired To Be Just Like Sly. He's A Great Actor, Writer And Director. I Know He Never Went To Film School and You Don't Have To Go To Film School To Be A Director. There's So Many Actors Who Made It Who Are So In Touch With There Emotion's And Became Successful Actors. Johnny Depp Included For Actors Who Never Took Acting Classes And Is A Great Film Actor! Very Wealthy Too.
Well Im totally Impressed! Never pictured Stallone as a Mob Guy? Good Guy for the part. Makes me wonder how he woulda done in Good fellas against Tommy when he took out Billy Bats only Stallone plays Batts. lol...

When I was younger I was involved with certain people and I just want to say this. It's romanticized a lot but there are good and bad people on both sides. It awesome to see someone tell it is in a way that puts things into perspective. Thank you Mr. Franzese for being straight on these issues.
It's a pleasure to watch your videos. Greetings from Germany.
Don Michael Franzese!
You are the Man!
I am a fan Sly, but when i 1st saw a clip or two of Tulsa King,
The 1st Thought was he looks like and makes me think of You!
Great review Michael. God Bless
Sheridan is a Sons of Anarchy vereran.
One funny thing in episode 3 was he passed the drivers test. lol
Let's face it Sly is an American Icon. His presence is powerful and he is a bigger than life actor. That said, in civilian life we call it executive presence. It's teachable and with method and technique anyone can develop the skill set.
I don't care what anyone says...It is entertaining as hell...I love it.
Michael was truly a man of that life that turned it all around. Truly a class act. ✝️
Whenever I watch your videos, I feel like I am back in Utica NY in the 70's Lot's of Italian friends and people.
1:55 What? 😳 Is that the microphone of the sound guy hanging down from above?

Love the frame on the wall.
Having Sly put in this modern world acting like an aging capo from new york was genius. I trust terrence winters vision here.
Look forward to your review as much as the show 😀
I love hearing your thoughts, Mr Franzese.. You're a wise man.
Great video Mike. It's great how your life has come full circle.
It's always a pleasure to watch your videos.
God bless Mr Franzese, always enjoy the content
Didn't know this existed till I came across season one back in jan-feb. Great show 🎉🎉
Great take on this show! Your review make me look forward to it that much more. God bless
Waiting for you to do a review of the episode from yesterday. A very clear Goodfellas nod scene at the end....
I saw that book by Robert Greene in the first episode, when he is in prison. I said “hey, I read that book in jail also” lol
at 1:30, no it's not realistic. Thanks for watching
Thank you for being you. 🌹
Always enjoy your videos, Michael. Keep up the great work. I assume you're already doing 'guest speaker' gigs for companies but, if you're not, you absolutely should.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE SHOW! Thx for your commentary 👍🏾😎
No way ya can't love this show if ya just remember its entertainment. Stallone Rocking his part

Self assured and confident! Are a key to life in general, not just in this arena. It can be tricky for some because it’s important remeber to be humble! Fine line to walk
I'm loving this programme with Sly😊 just saying from Glasgow 💙👍😎🇬🇧
Thank you Brother Mike giving my friend sly great review God Bless
Thank you , Mr. Franzese for another great review 👍 God bless you and your family , and have a very merry Christmas ✝️
Sly Stallone on Tulsa King is another iconic role for him like Rocky & Rambo.
Huge Stallone fan here. Didn’t love the 1st episode, however the next two were excellent. Definitely worth the watch.
Great reviews! The show is getting more compelling
Who plays a more realistic Mob Boss? Sylvester Stallone or John Travolta?
Makes me wonder how he woulda done in Good fellas against Tommy when he took out Billy Bats only Stallone plays Batts. lol...
real real... SOme of the nicest best people I ever met were "connected" when I was growing up in Colorado. they treated me and my family very well; always great Xmas and Bday gifts and always smiling
Love the show. Big fan of Taylor Sheridan. Wind River is one of the greatest movies I’ve ever seen
Thanks Mike. Saw ep 1 and it was really entertaining.
BTW - Sometime do a retrospective on the Minneapolis mob history. It''s got it's own character and qualities. Rather distinctive.
Look up a guy nameed Kidd Cann, and his associates. Cann was a friend of Capone and Lansky. He and Hubert Humphrey were arch enemies for a while.
