Bought the Mojave about a month ago. Its awesome fun with 6s. It can fit two 3s battery too. Easier to remove body and work with internals than SBR. I wish to replace the receiver with the Fly Sky Noble NB4 FGr4 receiver. Hope it can fit in. I'm not sure if I should replace the stock servo. The transmitter supplied for this price range is not the best to say the least. But I don't mind getting another one if it comes with the BND. At least the cost would be slightly palatable.
@Janarthanam Subramaniam Thanks for watching👍 Well said. I'm not familiar with the Fly sky receivers but I think you should be fine. May just have to run your wires differently and lay the receiver down, from the pics I've seen of the receiver but I could be wrong. BND is they way HH should have went rather than throwing in this receiver and transmitter in. At this price point and the speed of this RC, we need something much more reliable.
I have the Typhon 3S and 6S, the Infraction V2, Felony and the Senton 6S. The Senton 6S is the best all around on-road and off-road basher so far. The Mojave is on my wish list now
@Chris Watson Thanks Chris. It would be the shortest video of all time🤣 Not hard to do or time consuming. I use the Sharpie white paint marker. The raised lettering kind of does all the work for you. I will say you need to reapply often since when you run it it will rub off.
Ready Set RC getting one of these for Christmas and definitely going to do that white lettering! It looks great! What all do I have to do to change the receiver? Not much info on it and not allowed to see the manual if it tells me 😂😂
@@JEEPmanDAVE Did you mean you want to change out the spectrum remote? You have to buy a new remote and matching receiver. If you're looking for a good, cheap entry level remote get the flysky gt3c or gt3b. It's around 30-45$ on ebay and is digital with all the settings. It also comes with the reciever when you buy the remote. Then you can add up to 10 models on that remote with the receivers only costing 10$ when you wanna add another truck
@@ReadySetRC Thanks for letting me know! I'm ordering one tomorrow and I think the first thing I miggt do is paint the rims. I just think that's the one cosmetic flaw is with this truck. I hate the colored wheels. Would of looked great black or even white. I'm gonna go with the red too. I like the green if it wasn't overloaded with green. Great review man, im pretty set on picking up this rig. However, I have no idea why Arrma decided to discontinue the EXB roller version, makes absolutely no sense. The EXB looks better, comes with pre-installed upgraded parts and you get to put in your choice of running gear. Now, with the RTR versions only available, I'm stuck spending more money for stock piling junk radios and electronics. Just my rant. I get most manufacturers want to cater to people getting into the hobby which is great, but I hope they continue the roller versions for those of us who are into the hobby and have a good transmitter and electronics.
@Liveforwhatyougive Totally agree! I remember when Losi and Vaterra offered a BND version of their rigs. I'm hoping the bring back the EXB or at the very least fresh up the RTR.
@Joseph Nubile Thank you! Actually did not buy them. With a Sharpie Paint Marker you can do this. Very easy. Just need to apply a few times and after runs to keep it fresh.
some real nice reviewing here , i have recently bought the Losi Super Baja Rey, i know you said you prefered the Mojave but iv had sooo many SCTs and i just thought a trophy truck would be a nice change and i have to say the Losi SBR is FANTASTIC , this mojave must be good for you to say youde have it over the Losi and it does look great, i just thought for all that money i might as well have something a bit different , ive got Losi ten scte, Trooper, Slash , Apache and Losi 5ive lol probably time for change. i would agree that SBR is not as controllable in the air as the SCTE or Apache but is more controllable than the Losi 5ive, i suppose size is a big factor here !
@gatti493 Thanks for watching and that is an amazing line up. I would agree if I had all of those SCT's I would be looking for something different and the SBR would be it. The SBR is a great platform but for the control I get with the Mojave, it's the Mojave for me. Now I will admit I have no intentions of getting rid of my SBR😊 That truck is just tough as nails.
@@ReadySetRC lol i have been at this for 30 years , im embarrassed to say that only scratches the surface of what i have but more to the point what i have had and moved on from but right now pal you are the man in the driving seat because you have all 3 of these cars that interest me and can give a very fair comparison, what i have found myself is the trophy trucks seem a tad more tippy even the SBR will tip before an sct that said, ive had my Losi 5ive tip on me from time to time and i cant think of a more planted car than that, a pure race machine ! i can tell you are seriously impressed with the Mojave, well done Arrma

I’m usually not a short course and desert truck fan, they’re a little too roll happy and “scale” but not really in a good way other than for slow mo shots. But this one hits it on every point for me. It’s size really makes it more stable than the 1/10 and the independent suspension and setup really takes a lot of the compromises out from other designs. Love it
On Workability, I tore mine down straight out of the box, Arrma used excessive amounts of red loctite on all rotating metal to metal screws you will either have to use a torch or soldering iron to break those screws loose, on other metal too metal screw points they used blue loctite which still needed to be heated up to get them to release, other than that workability is pretty straight forward but more screws to deal with because of shock towers and bumpers, I am extremely impressed with the Mojave and I have not even ran it yet :) Thumbs up and a sub :) Edit: on the center drive shaft diff cups front and rear the red loctite blead around the pinion shaft where the dogbone cup set screw is, I had to heat those up and pry the cup off with a screw driver.
@jammer2150 I love your passion and thanks for the info. Other than the Loctite, glad to hear it is fairly straight forward. I've had similar findings with the Kraton V3. I'll be doing the same to this when it comes time. Thank you for the support!
New to the hobby Mojave has grown on me i have decided to go with mojave 4s, and then the armma infraction....Great vid!!! what control do you recommend?
@Awakendabeast13 Welcome to the hobby🤘 6S Mojave, great truck. I can't wait to get the 4S in my hands. Looks to perform like a lighter version of the 6s. Never owned an Infraction but I own the Felony and a Limitless, truly enjoy that platform. The SLT3's that now come with these Arrma's isn't bad. I've been using them in my latest Arrma RC's. If you are looking to step it up the Spectrum DX5C is a good controller too. The best part, it will bind with the SR receivers that are in the Arrma's. If you are looking budget friendly controller and receiver there is the Flysky GT5, Radiolink and DumboRC (the new DDF-350). I can't recommend the Radiolink and DumboRC (new one) controllers since I've never used them but they look solid.
@Kevin A I love both but it's the Mojave for me. To me both are bashers but I like how controllable the Mojave is in the air. Also on throttle because of it being IDS, just handles turns better. I'll leave you with this, the SBR is one of the best bashers for Losi where the Mojave IMO is the best basher for Arrma. Either way you should not be disappointed but I find with the SBR you have to know how to drive it to really enjoy it. Now it's not like the UDR but think of it as a UDR that can take the abuse you dish out to it.

If this helps at all, I was in the same boat and becouse of reasons you stated I went with the Mojave 6S V2 in Red of course. It's just amazing and I haven't even been outside yet😱 -not until my T Bone Racing bumper skid and the Dusty Motors chassis zipper bag come in✔️
@MOTIVATED LIVING Hard choice😊 Both will do well in those conditions. All depends on how hard you plan on bashing it. Backflips and front flips Kraton is going to be your truck.
@John Easton I've had no over heat issues. I only run on 6S and full throttle on the trigger most of the time. I would say I get about 15-17 minutes on 5200mah batteries but as I said I'm full throttle most of the time.
As far as the Spektrum not being responsive, that's the least if my worries in my opinion. My rant about Spektrum is, before any Ready to Run vehicle you were able to bind a Spektrum receiver to a higher end remote with no issues... Now these so called "Spektrum receivers" are not compatible to bind to higher end remotes. I own a DX6R DX4R & a DX4S, so for my Rc collection, anytime I buy a new RTR I have to buy a DSMR2 Spektrum receiver SEPARATELY to bind to my remotes... Figured I would share my story with this issue. The Arrma Mojave is just a tank, really enjoyed the review. I want one of these so bad.🤘🏻😎
@Rc Basher Boi Thanks bro👍👍 Good point as well. For me it still stings because my first experience with the STX2 was with the Losi Mini DB. I believe this was the first RTR they put it in. Took it out for my first run and all of my throttle inputs were delayed. Thought it was me or the area I was running in since it is highly populated. Took it to a small parking lot for the second run and I was trying to avoid a curb and it launched instead of break. The whole front end shattered. The toughness of that RC is for another discussion but I could not save it with a simple break input. I agree with you, I don't know how many DX2 controllers I have sold just because I would bind it to my DX4R or the DX5 Rugged.
would you buy this for the 630 or the losi dbxle 2.0 for 1100? if you had the money to spend?if you had say 1200 to spend would you buy the mojave 6s or the losi dbxle 2.0? i have booth by the way. and you have done great reviews on booth.
@tom pitzer Thanks Tom much appreciated👍👍 Two different RC's in different categories and sizes. In NY my issue is always going to be do I have a good places to run it. The Mojave I run it almost every where on 6S with no issue. Just the right size to really open it up and enjoy it. At this moment I may have one spot I can run the DBXLe 2.0 nicely. I'm not a speed junkie so I enjoy them both for what I'm getting . Durability neither have broken. For me it was one of those things I really wanted an electric 5th scale basher, the DBXL fit that to a tee. As for a Mojave, it's just a special truck. My real answer would be and I know a lot of people say this, I would buy both BUT I would sell something else to make it happen. I actually sold my Senton 4x4 and my Proline Pro MT 4x4 to clear room for the Mojave.
Currently looking at buying at time of posting this. I live in New Zealand RTR, minus battery and charger, looking at $NZ1500, ($US1042). So doing some serious homework.

That’s strong saying that your 1 one but I feel what’s your saying I just got a Kraton 6s and I’m shocked how well that rc is I’ve had the Mojave and I can’t compare the two rather have both is needed in my opinion but if I had to choose idk a tie Mojave’s a great rc and I’m shocked how arrma is changing the way I see rc now I’ve had traxxas so long and Losi as well but arrma wow thanks for the review awesome 👏
@Earl Moorhead Thank you for your response to the video, much appreciated. Totally agree it's a very strong statement. I just felt I had to let the viewers know how much I really enjoy this truck. If I owned an Outcast 6S I would say the same thing too. I tend to gravitate to RC's that are different but also well made and the Mojave checks those boxes. Arrma just keeps pushing the bar. If you told me they would be making on-road cars two years ago I would not agree with that statement at all. They could have just kept making variations of the Outcast and Kraton for years and been good with that but no they put out great products to keep us interested in the hobby and bring new people in.
@Xavier If you plan on ripping it around and hitting modest size jumps, oh yeah! But if you are going to try an do those 30 foot jumps you see on some videos and your dad has upgraded his Kraton to the nines it's going to be hard to keep up with that😊
Got exactly what I was looking for. I have a 2wd Traxxas Rustler VXL for a year, and I’ve just gotten tired of the 2wd control with it. On dirt, it just feels weird. Sure, it might be fast, but I’m tired of the 2wd. You’ve gotten a new subscriber.
I think it might be because it’s way too low. I put steel Driveshafts in it and the whole rear just sagged down, so I got rid of the springs in the front to make it more leveled. And TSM isn’t too high.
I absolutely love love my Arrma Mojave! Right out of the box, besides the controller it is an insane truck! I think this is the best desert racer PERIOD! I love the Fortress tires you have on it. Great Truck and I use it every weekend. I am a big Arrma fan and I have a ton of Traxxas but I think Arrma is going to take over the Traxxas brand once people realize that the Traxxas batteries suck for the price. I cut all my Traxxas cars and soldered on plugs because for the price of a Traxxas battery you can get a Race quality LIPO! Arrma EC5 and Spektrum batteries really rip! I use the 100C 6s or 2 100C 3S. The Mojave suspension is crazy realistic and it destroys the UDR and the Super Baja Rey on the track despite the UDR having 6 shocks I believe. I love the Mojave because it is so durable! I can't say that enough! It never ruins your day when you crash!!! andhave dual motors going in with dual ESC units from Castlenotifications
@Mike Woltmann Love your passion! The Mojave is one of my favorite RC's. The way it rips, how well it jumps in the air and the durability just can't beat it. The only issue I have with it, Arrma made it too great of a truck that it's going to be hard for them to beat this. And I don't count the EXB as toping this. I feel some of those upgrades on a truck like this just not necessary. For the consumer I'll take it though😊 Money well spent, I'm thinking of spending it again😂🤣

@@rebandmike First off Mike, Happy B-Day bro! Never owned the Kraton 8S so that one's out for me. The X-Maxx and the Outcast 8S wow! The Outcast 8S is the truck I was waiting for when Arrma released the Kraton 8S. But that X-Maxx was a complete surprise to me. I bought mine used at a screaming deal so that goes a long way for me. Durability I like both trucks. Parts I would lean on the X-Maxx for now. My only reason I would lean more X-Maxx and mine is still stock, because of the weight of the truck compared to the Outcast 8S the crashes don't seems so violent. Don't get me wrong the Outcast has been durable to me but with all that weight and if you plan on taking this 15 to 20 feet in the air you get this coming off the ramp wrong something is going to break. You feel the weight when you are driving this around. Plus I feel with the Outcast 8S you need to adjust punch, up the pinion to get it to really stunt. The X-Maxx I don't know since mine was used I feel the guy who own it must have changed the stock settings because I'm not seeing the sluggishness everyone has been seeing. I throw some 100C batteries and this thing is a nut ball. Sorry for the novel😂 Hope this helps.
Wondering if you think the new STX3 with its reciever would be better than the stock remote and reciever. I'm having tons of trouble with this one it came with. Funny thing is I have a few cars with this stock remote and no trouble whatsoever with those. What do you think?
@hagie61 I haven't seen or heard Spektrum or Horizon Hobby addressing the responsiveness issues with the STX controller. The 3 just means there is a 3rd channel. At this point to win confidence they need to shred this remote and do a total revamp to wash the stink off of this one. If you are sticking with Spektrum, I suggest using the DX technology, very reliable. But let's see if they throw the STX3 in with the RTR's. Usually HH does not put 3 channel controllers in the RTR kits.
@Calvin Douglas These are the stockers. To get the white lettering you got yo use paint marker. I used a Sharpie. Got to put it on a few times to show up bright but I also reapplied it on after a few runs.
Really like this truck can't go wrong with the price and the upgrades parts it's a win win situation just get a powerful batteries with charger 🙏🙏🙏🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲💪💪💪
@Rick D Anything is better than the stock. I use multi RC controllers. They are older but they do the trick. I have a Spektrum DX4R Pro and a Futaba 4PL. Even the Tactic TTX300 would be good to use.
How would you compare it to your udr? I know they are different types of truck but still in competition. It definitely seems much tougher and even drives better? I wanna buy this right now but I really gotta wait to see what they got coming up. But I'm ready to pull the trigger!
@Chris Watson Thanks for watching👍👍 The reason I did not mention the UDR, is because I don't think it's a good comparison to the Mojave. I feel it falls into more of a scale truck. People treat as a basher and try to make it a basher, then complain when it breaks but I don't feel it was designed to be that way. Honestly I've driven it on 6S and 4S and 4S is even better on this truck. Now for some that is going to be very slow but that's more in line with the characteristics for the UDR. Don't get me wrong, I like the UDR but for me I only compare that to custom trophy truck builds.

@Bill Perri Lol definitely! Thankfully I got a couple spare tactics lying around but I usually go with my flysky. I'm debating selling my granite to help fund this truck. Still gotta wait to see what arrma has up its sleeve in a couple weeks before I grab this but from everything I've seen it looks amazing.
@Bill Perri Great idea lol! I actually bought one of those helion avenge 10mt which I really like. Too be honest I think it drives a little better than the granite! But I'm sure the granite would beat it out in durability and toughness. But with the sway bars on the helion it drives so amazing! I fiqured I have the typhon 3s and helion so why keep the granite. Plus I got my other big boys too.
@Chris Watson Totally a Horizon Hobby thing. Not Arrma. Even the the Tactic was not Arrma, that was a Hobbico remote. Horizon Hobby needs to listen that you can not put a remote like this with a $600+ RC. Hell the new Losi 10th scale DB has a DX2e controller. Price point well under $600. I'm feeling the price point between the STX2 and DX2E is the sticking point with the decision makers to throw that in with an RTR and not change the overall price of the kit.
@Bill PerriYeah it's a great truck! Actually my granite has the 17mm hex and badland mx28s already on it and I still think the helion drives a little better! That was the first thing I did when I bought my granite when it first came out. I actually have some trenchers on it now but still have the mx28s. Yeah I always wanted the helion ever since gary raved about it. But wasn't gonna spend almost 400$ on it. I got it when they dropped it down to 200$ which was a steal! You can see why they charged almost 400 for it as its really nice! Philthyco did some research before we both bought them and the president of the company said they plan to support the helion with parts for years to come! But guess time will tell. I guess some traxxas parts will work on it too. If you ever do grab one you won't be disappointed!

What class they means, while designed this rc? If it`s Short Course, why co-driver doing inside? If it`s Trophy Truck, where is spare wheels and all this scale atributes?
when I"m ready to add to my humble RC Fleet I always seek you out for an un biased take on the particular model I'm considering .....The Mojave has been on my radar since I added the venerable XMaxx to my RC garage a few weeks ago.... I ... like you don't run my RCs with ...lets say reckless abandon .... Off road it's drive it like you stole it but other than the dips and hills the terrain offers none of my off-road vehicles see any BIG air jumps.... I just don't have the skill set for that plus I'd rather spend more time running the RC and having a blast than repairing the RC.... I do like to wrench like anyone in or hobby but I'd rather it be normal maintenance than replacing broken parts.....I'm 90% sure the Mohave is conimgto my garage soon......thanks for you insight on this RC.........

I took this out for the New Years Eve bash with some friends and they were surprised how this was performing. Really wish I caught it on video😤 Sounds like you are me when it comes to driving and something about how I see this truck move and hit the turns, you got to love. @Carlos oliveira Thanks for watching👍👍 SRR is one of those RC's that's just not for everyone. It looks like third party support is slowly trickling in but that's a year after it has been out. Still got mine but it will not be getting the love I give the Mojave. I would even take the SBR over it. It's tougher and more versatile on where you can run it.

@Darran hanlon Thanks for watching👍👍 No Infraction. Didn't want it. Preferred the Limitless because I did not want the electronics, have my own and I changed the spool to a diff. Mine is more of a touring car than speed runs. As much as that is a great platform, it is a niche in the RC community. For an everyday and everyplace basher you can't beat a SCT, buggy or monster truck. These days for me it would be one of those three before an on-road RC.
You can put infraction arms and axles on the mojave. Add the tires and body of choice and hit the road. I went the other way tho, kraton arms etc. make myself a LWB monster truck. Im not into the truggy look as much and prefer a longer chassis than the kraton/outcast. So many parts are interchangeable that you can turn it in to whatever mashup you like...

Great thoughts video 👍 I do love my SBR but I would have to agree with you about the jumping characteristics. I also like Arrma set themselves apart from the SBR by making this a 1/7 short course truck. It's the only one on the market 👍 I would think that having both trucks in your collection is awesome! 😃

Mojave Man just picked one up at my lhs for 525$. Was $100 off for the holidays and didnt sell. Doing a hybrid with kraton arms. You wont be disappointed
I’m not disappointed at all. Ran and bashed it 16 times now, with no breakages. It truly is an awesome rc. The handling, suspension and speed are just amazing. And the stx2... easy fix, sold it for 20 dollars and i can use that to buy a cooling fan for the motor. I’m in need of one, because I’m In australia and I run it with the high speed pinion.
Mojave but with the v3 kraton remote since horizon hobby took over the remotes suck an are junk I just wrecked my infraction cause of their crap ass remotes
@Super Chevy Sorry to hear bro! For me it was my Mini DB, smack into a curb. Shattered the front arm, bent the driveshaft and shattered the shell. First thing I do is rip out those STX systems. HH started putting in the new DX3 in their 8S Kratons. Hopefully it makes it to the others in the lineup.

Bought the Mojave about a month ago. Its awesome fun with 6s. It can fit two 3s battery too. Easier to remove body and work with internals than SBR. I wish to replace the receiver with the Fly Sky Noble NB4 FGr4 receiver. Hope it can fit in. I'm not sure if I should replace the stock servo. The transmitter supplied for this price range is not the best to say the least. But I don't mind getting another one if it comes with the BND. At least the cost would be slightly palatable.
@Janarthanam Subramaniam Thanks for watching👍 Well said. I'm not familiar with the Fly sky receivers but I think you should be fine. May just have to run your wires differently and lay the receiver down, from the pics I've seen of the receiver but I could be wrong. BND is they way HH should have went rather than throwing in this receiver and transmitter in. At this price point and the speed of this RC, we need something much more reliable.

I have the Typhon 3S and 6S, the Infraction V2, Felony and the Senton 6S. The Senton 6S is the best all around on-road and off-road basher so far. The Mojave is on my wish list now

@Chris Watson Thanks Chris. It would be the shortest video of all time🤣 Not hard to do or time consuming. I use the Sharpie white paint marker. The raised lettering kind of does all the work for you. I will say you need to reapply often since when you run it it will rub off.
Ready Set RC getting one of these for Christmas and definitely going to do that white lettering! It looks great! What all do I have to do to change the receiver? Not much info on it and not allowed to see the manual if it tells me 😂😂
@@JEEPmanDAVE Did you mean you want to change out the spectrum remote? You have to buy a new remote and matching receiver. If you're looking for a good, cheap entry level remote get the flysky gt3c or gt3b. It's around 30-45$ on ebay and is digital with all the settings. It also comes with the reciever when you buy the remote. Then you can add up to 10 models on that remote with the receivers only costing 10$ when you wanna add another truck

Great review man, im pretty set on picking up this rig. However, I have no idea why Arrma decided to discontinue the EXB roller version, makes absolutely no sense. The EXB looks better, comes with pre-installed upgraded parts and you get to put in your choice of running gear. Now, with the RTR versions only available, I'm stuck spending more money for stock piling junk radios and electronics. Just my rant. I get most manufacturers want to cater to people getting into the hobby which is great, but I hope they continue the roller versions for those of us who are into the hobby and have a good transmitter and electronics.

some real nice reviewing here , i have recently bought the Losi Super Baja Rey, i know you said you prefered the Mojave but iv had sooo many SCTs and i just thought a trophy truck would be a nice change and i have to say the Losi SBR is FANTASTIC , this mojave must be good for you to say youde have it over the Losi and it does look great, i just thought for all that money i might as well have something a bit different , ive got Losi ten scte, Trooper, Slash , Apache and Losi 5ive lol
probably time for change.
i would agree that SBR is not as controllable in the air as the SCTE or Apache but is more controllable than the Losi 5ive, i suppose size is a big factor here !

The SBR is a great platform but for the control I get with the Mojave, it's the Mojave for me. Now I will admit I have no intentions of getting rid of my SBR😊 That truck is just tough as nails.

lol i have been at this for 30 years , im embarrassed to say that only scratches the surface of what i have but more to the point what i have had and moved on from but right now pal you are the man in the driving seat because you have all 3 of these cars that interest me and can give a very fair comparison, what i have found myself is the trophy trucks seem a tad more tippy even the SBR will tip before an sct that said, ive had my Losi 5ive tip on me from time to time and i cant think of a more planted car than that, a pure race machine !

I’m usually not a short course and desert truck fan, they’re a little too roll happy and “scale” but not really in a good way other than for slow mo shots. But this one hits it on every point for me. It’s size really makes it more stable than the 1/10 and the independent suspension and setup really takes a lot of the compromises out from other designs. Love it

On Workability, I tore mine down straight out of the box, Arrma used excessive amounts of red loctite on all rotating metal to metal screws you will either have to use a torch or soldering iron to break those screws loose, on other metal too metal screw points they used blue loctite which still needed to be heated up to get them to release, other than that workability is pretty straight forward but more screws to deal with because of shock towers and bumpers, I am extremely impressed with the Mojave and I have not even ran it yet :) Thumbs up and a sub :) Edit: on the center drive shaft diff cups front and rear the red loctite blead around the pinion shaft where the dogbone cup set screw is, I had to heat those up and pry the cup off with a screw driver.

I found no red loctite on mine luckily. I was able to easily remove the blue loctite by hand with no heat

@Awakendabeast13 Welcome to the hobby🤘 6S Mojave, great truck. I can't wait to get the 4S in my hands. Looks to perform like a lighter version of the 6s. Never owned an Infraction but I own the Felony and a Limitless, truly enjoy that platform. The SLT3's that now come with these Arrma's isn't bad. I've been using them in my latest Arrma RC's. If you are looking to step it up the Spectrum DX5C is a good controller too. The best part, it will bind with the SR receivers that are in the Arrma's. If you are looking budget friendly controller and receiver there is the Flysky GT5, Radiolink and DumboRC (the new DDF-350). I can't recommend the Radiolink and DumboRC (new one) controllers since I've never used them but they look solid.

@Kevin A I love both but it's the Mojave for me. To me both are bashers but I like how controllable the Mojave is in the air. Also on throttle because of it being IDS, just handles turns better. I'll leave you with this, the SBR is one of the best bashers for Losi where the Mojave IMO is the best basher for Arrma. Either way you should not be disappointed but I find with the SBR you have to know how to drive it to really enjoy it. Now it's not like the UDR but think of it as a UDR that can take the abuse you dish out to it.

@John Easton I've had no over heat issues. I only run on 6S and full throttle on the trigger most of the time. I would say I get about 15-17 minutes on 5200mah batteries but as I said I'm full throttle most of the time.

As far as the Spektrum not being responsive, that's the least if my worries in my opinion. My rant about Spektrum is, before any Ready to Run vehicle you were able to bind a Spektrum receiver to a higher end remote with no issues... Now these so called "Spektrum receivers" are not compatible to bind to higher end remotes. I own a DX6R DX4R & a DX4S, so for my Rc collection, anytime I buy a new RTR I have to buy a DSMR2 Spektrum receiver SEPARATELY to bind to my remotes... Figured I would share my story with this issue. The Arrma Mojave is just a tank, really enjoyed the review. I want one of these so bad.🤘🏻😎
@Rc Basher Boi Thanks bro👍👍 Good point as well. For me it still stings because my first experience with the STX2 was with the Losi Mini DB. I believe this was the first RTR they put it in. Took it out for my first run and all of my throttle inputs were delayed. Thought it was me or the area I was running in since it is highly populated. Took it to a small parking lot for the second run and I was trying to avoid a curb and it launched instead of break. The whole front end shattered. The toughness of that RC is for another discussion but I could not save it with a simple break input. I agree with you, I don't know how many DX2 controllers I have sold just because I would bind it to my DX4R or the DX5 Rugged.
would you buy this for the 630 or the losi dbxle 2.0 for 1100? if you had the money to spend?if you had say 1200 to spend would you buy the mojave 6s or the losi dbxle 2.0? i have booth by the way. and you have done great reviews on booth.
@tom pitzer Thanks Tom much appreciated👍👍 Two different RC's in different categories and sizes. In NY my issue is always going to be do I have a good places to run it. The Mojave I run it almost every where on 6S with no issue. Just the right size to really open it up and enjoy it. At this moment I may have one spot I can run the DBXLe 2.0 nicely. I'm not a speed junkie so I enjoy them both for what I'm getting . Durability neither have broken. For me it was one of those things I really wanted an electric 5th scale basher, the DBXL fit that to a tee. As for a Mojave, it's just a special truck. My real answer would be and I know a lot of people say this, I would buy both BUT I would sell something else to make it happen. I actually sold my Senton 4x4 and my Proline Pro MT 4x4 to clear room for the Mojave.

@Earl Moorhead Thank you for your response to the video, much appreciated. Totally agree it's a very strong statement. I just felt I had to let the viewers know how much I really enjoy this truck. If I owned an Outcast 6S I would say the same thing too. I tend to gravitate to RC's that are different but also well made and the Mojave checks those boxes. Arrma just keeps pushing the bar. If you told me they would be making on-road cars two years ago I would not agree with that statement at all. They could have just kept making variations of the Outcast and Kraton for years and been good with that but no they put out great products to keep us interested in the hobby and bring new people in.

@Xavier If you plan on ripping it around and hitting modest size jumps, oh yeah! But if you are going to try an do those 30 foot jumps you see on some videos and your dad has upgraded his Kraton to the nines it's going to be hard to keep up with that😊
Got exactly what I was looking for. I have a 2wd Traxxas Rustler VXL for a year, and I’ve just gotten tired of the 2wd control with it. On dirt, it just feels weird. Sure, it might be fast, but I’m tired of the 2wd. You’ve gotten a new subscriber.

Thank you for the support! Have you check the setting on the TSM? Is it dialed up to far?
I think it might be because it’s way too low. I put steel Driveshafts in it and the whole rear just sagged down, so I got rid of the springs in the front to make it more leveled. And TSM isn’t too high.
I absolutely love love my Arrma Mojave! Right out of the box, besides the controller it is an insane truck! I think this is the best desert racer PERIOD! I love the Fortress tires you have on it. Great Truck and I use it every weekend. I am a big Arrma fan and I have a ton of Traxxas but I think Arrma is going to take over the Traxxas brand once people realize that the Traxxas batteries suck for the price. I cut all my Traxxas cars and soldered on plugs because for the price of a Traxxas battery you can get a Race quality LIPO! Arrma EC5 and Spektrum batteries really rip! I use the 100C 6s or 2 100C 3S. The Mojave suspension is crazy realistic and it destroys the UDR and the Super Baja Rey on the track despite the UDR having 6 shocks I believe. I love the Mojave because it is so durable! I can't say that enough! It never ruins your day when you crash!!!

The only issue I have with it, Arrma made it too great of a truck that it's going to be hard for them to beat this. And I don't count the EXB as toping this. I feel some of those upgrades on a truck like this just not necessary. For the consumer I'll take it though😊 Money well spent, I'm thinking of spending it again😂🤣

@@rebandmike First off Mike, Happy B-Day bro! Never owned the Kraton 8S so that one's out for me. The X-Maxx and the Outcast 8S wow! The Outcast 8S is the truck I was waiting for when Arrma released the Kraton 8S. But that X-Maxx was a complete surprise to me. I bought mine used at a screaming deal so that goes a long way for me. Durability I like both trucks. Parts I would lean on the X-Maxx for now. My only reason I would lean more X-Maxx and mine is still stock, because of the weight of the truck compared to the Outcast 8S the crashes don't seems so violent. Don't get me wrong the Outcast has been durable to me but with all that weight and if you plan on taking this 15 to 20 feet in the air you get this coming off the ramp wrong something is going to break. You feel the weight when you are driving this around. Plus I feel with the Outcast 8S you need to adjust punch, up the pinion to get it to really stunt. The X-Maxx I don't know since mine was used I feel the guy who own it must have changed the stock settings because I'm not seeing the sluggishness everyone has been seeing. I throw some 100C batteries and this thing is a nut ball. Sorry for the novel😂 Hope this helps.

Wondering if you think the new STX3 with its reciever would be better than the stock remote and reciever. I'm having tons of trouble with this one it came with. Funny thing is I have a few cars with this stock remote and no trouble whatsoever with those. What do you think?
@hagie61 I haven't seen or heard Spektrum or Horizon Hobby addressing the responsiveness issues with the STX controller. The 3 just means there is a 3rd channel. At this point to win confidence they need to shred this remote and do a total revamp to wash the stink off of this one. If you are sticking with Spektrum, I suggest using the DX technology, very reliable. But let's see if they throw the STX3 in with the RTR's. Usually HH does not put 3 channel controllers in the RTR kits.

@Rick D Anything is better than the stock. I use multi RC controllers. They are older but they do the trick. I have a Spektrum DX4R Pro and a Futaba 4PL. Even the Tactic TTX300 would be good to use.

@Chris Watson Thanks for watching👍👍 The reason I did not mention the UDR, is because I don't think it's a good comparison to the Mojave. I feel it falls into more of a scale truck. People treat as a basher and try to make it a basher, then complain when it breaks but I don't feel it was designed to be that way. Honestly I've driven it on 6S and 4S and 4S is even better on this truck. Now for some that is going to be very slow but that's more in line with the characteristics for the UDR. Don't get me wrong, I like the UDR but for me I only compare that to custom trophy truck builds.

Still gotta wait to see what arrma has up its sleeve in a couple weeks before I grab this but from everything I've seen it looks amazing.

But I'm sure the granite would beat it out in durability and toughness. But with the sway bars on the helion it drives so amazing! I fiqured I have the typhon 3s and helion so why keep the granite. Plus I got my other big boys too.
@Chris Watson Totally a Horizon Hobby thing. Not Arrma. Even the the Tactic was not Arrma, that was a Hobbico remote. Horizon Hobby needs to listen that you can not put a remote like this with a $600+ RC. Hell the new Losi 10th scale DB has a DX2e controller. Price point well under $600. I'm feeling the price point between the STX2 and DX2E is the sticking point with the decision makers to throw that in with an RTR and not change the overall price of the kit.
@Bill PerriYeah it's a great truck! Actually my granite has the 17mm hex and badland mx28s already on it and I still think the helion drives a little better! That was the first thing I did when I bought my granite when it first came out. I actually have some trenchers on it now but still have the mx28s. Yeah I always wanted the helion ever since gary raved about it. But wasn't gonna spend almost 400$ on it. I got it when they dropped it down to 200$ which was a steal! You can see why they charged almost 400 for it as its really nice! Philthyco did some research before we both bought them and the president of the company said they plan to support the helion with parts for years to come! But guess time will tell. I guess some traxxas parts will work on it too. If you ever do grab one you won't be disappointed!
@@ReadySetRC Ah good points man! Yeah I hope with all the negative feedback they will do something because its really universally disliked. Like you said they should come with a bind and run option or an option with no remote would be nice.

What class they means, while designed this rc? If it`s Short Course, why co-driver doing inside? If it`s Trophy Truck, where is spare wheels and all this scale atributes?

when I"m ready to add to my humble RC Fleet I always seek you out for an un biased take on the particular model I'm considering .....The Mojave has been on my radar since I added the venerable XMaxx to my RC garage a few weeks ago.... I ... like you don't run my RCs with ...lets say reckless abandon .... Off road it's drive it like you stole it but other than the dips and hills the terrain offers none of my off-road vehicles see any BIG air jumps.... I just don't have the skill set for that plus I'd rather spend more time running the RC and having a blast than repairing the RC.... I do like to wrench like anyone in or hobby but I'd rather it be normal maintenance than replacing broken parts.....I'm 90% sure the Mohave is conimgto my garage soon......thanks for you insight on this RC.........
@PitBull RC LTD I appreciate the kind words👍 In my opinion I still feel this is the best truck Arrma has. I took this out for the New Years Eve bash with some friends and they were surprised how this was performing. Really wish I caught it on video😤 Sounds like you are me when it comes to driving and something about how I see this truck move and hit the turns, you got to love. When you get a chance to add this to your fleet let me know your thoughts. I think you will not be disappointed.

@Carlos oliveira Thanks for watching👍👍 SRR is one of those RC's that's just not for everyone. It looks like third party support is slowly trickling in but that's a year after it has been out. Still got mine but it will not be getting the love I give the Mojave. I would even take the SBR over it. It's tougher and more versatile on where you can run it.

@Darran hanlon Thanks for watching👍👍 No Infraction. Didn't want it. Preferred the Limitless because I did not want the electronics, have my own and I changed the spool to a diff. Mine is more of a touring car than speed runs. As much as that is a great platform, it is a niche in the RC community. For an everyday and everyplace basher you can't beat a SCT, buggy or monster truck. These days for me it would be one of those three before an on-road RC.

You can put infraction arms and axles on the mojave. Add the tires and body of choice and hit the road. I went the other way tho, kraton arms etc. make myself a LWB monster truck. Im not into the truggy look as much and prefer a longer chassis than the kraton/outcast. So many parts are interchangeable that you can turn it in to whatever mashup you like...

Great thoughts video 👍 I do love my SBR but I would have to agree with you about the jumping characteristics. I also like Arrma set themselves apart from the SBR by making this a 1/7 short course truck. It's the only one on the market 👍 I would think that having both trucks in your collection is awesome! 😃

I’m not disappointed at all. Ran and bashed it 16 times now, with no breakages. It truly is an awesome rc. The handling, suspension and speed are just amazing. And the stx2... easy fix, sold it for 20 dollars and i can use that to buy a cooling fan for the motor. I’m in need of one, because I’m In australia and I run it with the high speed pinion.

@Super Chevy Sorry to hear bro! For me it was my Mini DB, smack into a curb. Shattered the front arm, bent the driveshaft and shattered the shell. First thing I do is rip out those STX systems. HH started putting in the new DX3 in their 8S Kratons. Hopefully it makes it to the others in the lineup.
