- This S2000 only has 532 Miles.
The owner passed away and left the car in non running condition.
The wife spent 3 years with versions shops trying to get the car running with no luck.
Several had recommend it go to LHT, Well, It came.
We went right work and removed the unreliable parts, repaired the wiring and supplied many OEM Parts to get the car un and running. We turned this car around in 3 days. George I put in the time , care and passion, to make this come alive.
The car is currently being driven the 1000+ Miles home.
We're laden by the story but glad we could make the car run again.

You guys are the guardians of good taste and excellence. Very much appreciate the content.
Sad, that the husband passed away.
And here is the difference between having the car tuned by a tuner who just made money on it, and LHT Performance, the excellence of Engineering, how fantastic once again to see how you fixed a really bad tuned car to make it a reliable daily. Knowledge and TLC is so important in these days and so rare to find.
Good to know you guys.
One day soon, I'll pop-up at your shop, be prepared for it 😂
Love you guys.
Unbelievable there is a CR S2000 with this low of a mileage. Thank you from Sydney Australia. Always loving your content.
I actually helped work on this car, I just didn't have the time to invest to make it right. We recommend you guys, glad it got the help it needs
Thanks so much for the referral.
@splice247 , I don’t think you did…
I think I would be right in saying nobody would know more about s2000’s than you two guys anywhere in the world!
You all did a marvelous Job! Bravo Zulu and Hate to hear her partner passed before his dream was complete! Being 55 and a Disabled Combat Veteran I so feel this story! Semper Fi and Can Do OORAH
Thanks for Your Service my friend. Life is precious for sure.
WOW..such a heart warming video. You guys are the absolute best. I wish the owner all the best luck and now she can cherish her husbands memory. LHT FTW!
What a great story! I hope the drive back to Ohio made her fall in love with the car and that she decides to keep it and enjoy it in memory of her lost loved one.
I hope she loves it.
Great work guys 👍🏼 These stories never get old, glad you were able to keep this car legacy alive!
This is so cool. Its a time capsule ❤. Thanks for sharing this. And godbless that lady and her husband. This is true passion like all of us.
if the car was completely stock it could sell for $150000 at least. beautiful car. my s2k has 126k miles.
When the CR came out a lot of guys thought they were gonna be worth money so they stored them. I owned an ap2 back in 2008
My 04 has 162k. I love driving it all the time!!
Yeah I was going to guess at least 100k if it were all put back to stock. Maybe even with the mods still on it, it might sell for that much.
No better garage/team to resurrect this S2000 CR and receive the full LHT treatment. Great job guys ✌🏼✌🏼
That amount of beauty and rarity brings a tear to your eyes. I’m not crying! You’re crying.
I bet she was shocked after learning what her husband left behind. Great story! I know she’s going to enjoy her new car!
This was one of the best cars yall had. I know she is super happy you got the car running. She most likely won't EVER sell that car. Good work guys as usual 💪🏾💪🏾💯💯
It's crazy to think that, in just _ONE_ trip, she's going to put almost twice as many miles as it's ever been driven in its entire life up to this point.
Yup! Had to "rinse" it off for your "peace of mind" to provide some LHT TLC and it is a touching back story. Another great job and treated as if you guys owned it.
Without QUESTION, The most pristine S2K CR I have seen. Tragic reminder of life priorities. Great job giving this widow a good ending to a sad story. As always, Well done👍.
Wow! Such a shame that a CR with such low mileage has been through this much work. Not my taste of choice but if owner can put the car back to stock, it will fetch good money. Great work LHT team. Wish you were in CALI.
You guys are truly special, and you were right the story is compelling. Hoping you’ll find an opening for my car. ❤❤🙏🏾🙏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
It's a shame what this person did to this car. Clearly didn't understand what he had but happy they are bringing it back to it's original glory. That car is worth a pretty penny.
One thing you have to remember, when this car first came out, it wasn’t anything really special. Every dealer had some of these sitting, they couldn’t sell, hence the value wasn’t very high. The value only increased overtime.
@@LHTPerformancedo you think the same can happen to Miatas? They are cheap and everyone takes them fro granted, but one day they will be a rare find?
You guys did an outstanding Job giving that CR a good refresh for the owner to enjoy! What a great story & the husband would be proud to see the car running as it should. Keep up the great LHT TLC 👍👍
A sad story and my heart goes out to the family. The original owner clearly loved the car. It deserves a happy ending. Great work as always 👍👍👍.
You guys do incredible work and this lady was lucky to have you bring this car back to life. Amazing story and great work as always!
Beautiful car n u guys did a fantastic job on the car.
Sad to hear of her husband passing hope she enjoys the car. U guys are really awesome.❤❤
Life is precious. Great job guys 💚
Your videos are such a treat. Great work as always guys, reversing the mods. But hey! Easy on the dinosaur talk! 😅 I had RC 440 injectors on a turbo’d B18C1 EJ1 back in 1998. I didn’t do wrenching back then. Had a great mechanic though. Score on the mint OEM exhaust. Airbox looks new too. Shame the owner only got to enjoy the CR for 500 miles. I’m sure his widow is pleased you guys worked your magic.
Wow, this is crazy. I wish it could be put back to stock. I hope you let her know what she has!
I skipped around the video, so may have missed something. Why can't it be brought back to stock?
It can, that's just not what LHT was hired to do in this case. Owner just wanted it to run. Just needs some original interior plastics/dash/wheel and a hard top, and oem wheels. Only aftermarket stuff was cosmetic. That and gutting that soft top @@danlaclair01
Wow, im speechless, awesome content, thanks LHT
Man I love that blue
I hope she takes care of that car, it's the finest remaining example in the world possibly.
This car is so mint! Makes sense LHT got a chance to bring it back to how it should be!
Sad story… glad that you guys were able to help. I have a 07 AP2 with 2800 miles. And I thought that I had a pretty low odometer…
Great episode. Wish they would allow you to turn it all back to stock again.
What a time capsule! 533 miles on the clock it’s like a blast from the past! everything is absolutely. Correct? It’s really need to see these parts again.
It’s absolutely sacrilegious to put a soft top on a CR .Sometimes you have to respect all builds.
I agree. I wouldn’t have done it, but you have to respect someone’s vision.
wowowow what a rare piece of gem. looks amazing sounds amazing. good work on fixing guys!
wow, most people would not drive it and just let it sit to accumulate value. so glad she was able to enjoy the ride back home.
Thanks for another excellent class. I’ll have to call you professor Honda now.😎😎😎👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Lol.
I hope she keeps it forever!
that is a gem, unbelievable!!!!
This is crazy, so wild to see such a low milage CR, wondering now if we will see it get auctioned one day.
this is the lowest mileage one that I know of...mouse motors has one (non-CR) for sale with 950 miles. I imagine there are others < 1000 in private collections, but wow a CR with those miles...that's a unicorn for sure. great work as always, LHT!
Thanks for the video and the great words at the end!😇
Sad and unfortunate story for the gentleman... glad you guys resurrected it so his loved ones can live some part of his dream... hope I don't leave unfinished projects like this behind 😅... great words at the end of video... makes you think... 🙏
Awesome video! great work guys!
What a mess!
As a former owner of an original ABP CR, I’m sad to see what someone did to this car…basically parted out the desired CR parts.
I’m glad you guy got this. If you had time this could be a great restoration car. But she’s happy to drive it home.
wow so clean
Great job guys!
That poor car has been absolutely butchered this one really needs some LHT TLC they couldnt of brought it to a better place you guys are the best 😎💪🏼❤️
P.S.- definitely not the lowest mileage CR out there, but certainly a rare find!
One with 123 miles on it sold for $200,000 last year on bring a trailer.
Wonder if this lady realizes that
I am sure if she did she would had trailer it back home.. there was also a CR with 16k miles in blue that sold for 93k.. so this one will go for 130+ easily.
@@civicpride1986 Right! I kept thinking yikes that will be an expensive trip when every mile counts that low for collectors
@@CarsWithFrank Maybe she doesn't need the money and she plans on keeping the car and driving it, maybe it reminds her of her husband and she will not let that car go.. only she knows the true value to her of that car.
Great job guys
Glad u guys worked on this CR. I wouldn’t even trust the dealers to touch it haha
It’s beautiful ❤
I remember when dealers (towards the end of the model run) were having trouble unloading these...especially the a/c + radio delete variants...
Yep! My local dealership ship had a black and a blue one for $28,800 each. They sat for months before they sold.
@@LHTPerformance yep! Palm Harbor Honda had one and I don't recall how low the price got, but man to go back in time with $29K lol
Speaking of no radio and AC. I remember the opportunity to buy a black CR new from the dealer for 29k because they couldn’t sell it without AC here in Florida. Should’ve would’ve could’ve 🙈
They sent the car to the right people and how lucky for them that ANY of the stuff you sourced was still available (or reasonably attainable). If they had waited another year, who knows.
Awesome stuff! We used the DSM green injectors. RCs we’re out of budget haha
532 freaking miles???? Damn what a steal at the time.
I just seen a CR with ~24k miles sell in an auction for 92k.
This gem would definitely sell for over 100k easy.
Sad to see this beauty never driven for so long but damn at this point, it is almost a shame to wear in a peice of history like that
Wow! What a hidden treasure. She will have that one sold quickly. Unheard with 535 miles.
So many sad thinks for a CR .. KEEP IT UP
O that's special very envious
Man, somebody really violated a masterpiece.
i wish i had that Honda s2000 cr :)
Powerful!!
I wonder if she knows how much that car will bring on bringatrailer.. such a low miles CR.. i don't like the roof or hood, other then that is very clean.
Nice video - nice car
That's one of those old skunk twisty mega power headers don't see those alot
Wonder how much it would fetch at auction?
6 figures easily.
130k plus easily
wow! what a car! sad story but someone put alot of time into it. the dash covered in alcantara in very interesting. is that oem?
No Only the seats and door panels had the alcantara with the yellow stitch
Is that a hondata intake manifold gasket? Havent seen one of those in years.
Loving the S2000. Definitely my next pickup. Have you done any work on Preludes? I have one currently I am trying to rescue from mistreatment! Great work!
Yes. We’ve been in business since 1996.
@@LHTPerformancehow come you see so few of the preludes still running? Engine have issues ?
This car deserves a full restoration to original form. Place back OEM hood, wheels, badges, etc
Living in the Pacific Northwest, an s2000 club racer with a roof, actually appeals to me a lot...🤷
I'm pretty certain I am this guy's long lost son.
Great job, awesome story! Why would someone butcher a CR like that with so little miles?
Hope she has new tires installed before she went home...unless I didn't the tires born on date right.
But man...what a beautiful car.
I would have likely told her to replace the tires, they are about 17 years old.
is there any real difference by getting a honda battery?
It’s probably an Interstate battery that gets a Honda label put on it at the dealer. Which is fine. There are only a handful of battery mfgs who have them rebranded as many more brands.
If owner is interested in selling the kit I could use spare parts! I’m still running the 1st gen kw kit, over 20k miles now with no issues but everything has been discontinued!
🙏🏽
Will the owner sell? Or give her info?
Crazy
Nope, mine had one too. #077. I think I was the second to do the conversion in 2010.
$200k plus S2k right there. Wow.
😳😳😳 WOW!
WOW
That is a 150k car.
Can you explain why the s2k car is sought after. I have an ap1 and i don’t understand why the CR is so special. The specs are identical to a reg ap2
It’s not identical, it’s like a factory tuned version. It might be worth a google and get some correct information
The engine and transmission is the same, but the major difference is in the aerodynamic and handling performance that comes with the CR parts installed on the car.
S2000s are notorious for the rear end "coming around easily" and that is not an issue with the CR models. Beefier sway bars, stiffer springs and different shock dampening, coupled with the aerodynamic upgrades, make it a much more stable car when playing in the twistys.
532 miles? I almost do that in a year!😊
its in good hands
Amazing work, guys. Hope this thing gets shipped to Larry Kosilla next for a proper paint restoration and detail. 😅
Is for sale interested in purchasing it..?
Biar betik boss 530km daripada Kuala lumpur ke johor Baharu.. mungkin negara sana minyak mahal kot..mari malaysia 1 semenanjung aku ronda
Wtf i can't believe someone would do that to a CR with that low of mileage that interior looks hideous in my opinion
Holy crap!! That is probably the lowest mileage apex blue CR out there….
Not run..........
Hasn’t run either 🤔
Apakah? Ohio??
Not really sure why you would 2nd guess just washing it real fast? Lady trailered it all that way and then is driving it back, damn at least wash it for the chick 🤣
the wheels 🤦👎
