Here's a challenge for Matt and Rabea, Sound like XXXX using a Yamaha THR. Use whatever guitar and pedals you like and then publish the amp settings. Suggest Jimmy Page, Billy Gibbons and Slash for starters! :D Hell, how about a sounds like Rabea Massaad using a Yamaha THR!
I really feel like when you guys use the Katana you can try to add some more pedals to the rig. For example; even though the Katana has modulation and drive, you could blend it with a strymon mobs or sunset, or a memory man like stuff like that so it makes the sound more viable and unique. Unless the artist was really simple or literally used Boss pedals. Also, some of the new fender pedals could be cool to see! Anyway much love to you guys always look forward to Wednesday 12 PM for me in the states. Cheers!
This was awesome, it was cool to see Rabea rock a talk box (also because I didn't know Andertons had them, which was really cool). Still waiting on Sound Like Ghost and The Doors (Robby Krieger), but for a bit of a U-turn so to speak how about a Sound Like K-On? It'd be interesting to see you guys try something from an animated series, plus that show has some really damn good riffs
An off-topic questions for anyone here. How much is an used Ritchie Sambora signature Fender strat (not the ESP) in your area (eg. in the UK) ? Here in my hometown the price goes through the roof (easily higher than USD 3,000 for a reasonable condition one). There's a local rockstar here that uses the Ritchie's model regularly and people associate that guitar to him. That's the reason why it become ridiculously expensive here.
Thank you for doing this. I’ve been asking for this for AAAAGESS. I love Richie Sambora’ sound and you got close to the slippery one with this. Would love to see a Bon Jovi ‘BY’ busting but I’ll wait for that. Would have loved to have seen a bit from the New Jersey and Keep the Faith Albums as Richies guitar god status was rubber stamped on those but all in all good job 👍🏻
I'm curious why you never used a laney amp or does Andertons doesn't have any? There would be perfect possibilities for a 1500 pound budget. For example the IRT Studio with built-in reverb and pre-boost...
What would the thought process be between code 50 vs katana on this. Is katana just the better modeling amp? It sounded great, just wondering since katana is always the easy choice within the modeling amp realm.
The charm of these videos was getting a full rig worthy of gigging (in my opinion some sounded good enough for recording) on a budget of £1500. This would usually include a valve amp. You guys could of used a decent super strat for at least £100 cheaper, and maybe a multi effects pedal too, and therefore afforded a valve amp. OK we get it, the Katanas are fantastic. But please no more. Its getting dull now.
I personally think the guitar choice should be centered around the pickups rather than the guitar. I believe Richie used Dimarzio PAF Pros and Duncan JB’s for his bridge pickups. As usual tho an entertaining video!!!

Not really. Tim played on the first single, Runaway. Sambora took over after that
I know you already had Josh Homme with QOTSA, but... what about Sound Like Kyuss?
That would be awesome!
I like to see you guys try to do these using all the pedals etc. These Katana wonder amps make it all too easy for you
Richie Sambora is the greatest guitarist in the world and I’ve been waiting for this since I started watching you about two year ago. Thank you so much!
I have always thought he wasted his talent in Bon Jovi, and his solo career both during and after Bon Jovi has also been a bit underwhelming. Based on his 1980's performances his career has been disappointing.
LtCol Pulaski I have to disagree. I think is career has always been fantastic and the only reason why he is so underrated was because Bon Jovi’s main focus was always on Jon. However I do respect your opinion fully
I also believe his solo career, especially his first album Stranger in This Town is amazing. But again that’s just how I feel.
@@THEROCKLORD1 Yeah, SiTT is a great album, but great in an Eric Clapton sort of way, not a Ritchie Blackmore sort of way, and I am more of a Blackmore fan than a Clapton fan.
I thought it was great hey you both are great players, Boss katana II fits the budget and sounds great, Jeff in LA USA
i suggest 'The Amazons' to do next as i saw them at reading fest and at one of their own gig and they kill it!! Great example of British rock! 🤘
Please sound like Dokken next.
I don't even like watching these anymore because I know it's just gonna be the boss katana
it's the new Marshall DSL40c
Glad to see I'm not the only one sick of hearing about katanas.
@@KeeperOfPoops yeah but they only used the dsl for notorious marshall users they the katana for every episode
@Chance Terrill I swear if they do Eric Johnson and use a Katana i'm going to eat my own shorts
@@phildale8451 well they are cool little amps but I watch this to see a variety of gear combos n different sounds....... Not to watch n endless stream katana demos
Here's a challenge for Matt and Rabea, Sound like XXXX using a Yamaha THR. Use whatever guitar and pedals you like and then publish the amp settings. Suggest Jimmy Page, Billy Gibbons and Slash for starters! :D
Hell, how about a sounds like Rabea Massaad using a Yamaha THR!
Why not the Fender Champion XL, that Bea said was better than the Katana in a video with Pete?
Yes!!!! Love Jovi!
I hear what you're saying at 4:20
Alex Koch I saw that too 😂
I think this is the one instance where going with the DSL 40 and paying an extra £100 would have made a ton of difference!
Richies signature guitar was a maple board, im pretty sure he used a tele a lot of the time and a load of vintage Strats.
his kramer and fender were both maple fretboard
and he used telecater on have a nice day
I enjoy your videos!
Allman brothers!
who now? lol
Haynes ? Trucks ? Betts ? Allman? Peterson? Grissom .
Cheers!
Since you pulled out the talk box, why not a sounds like peter frampton?
This was awesome, it was cool to see Rabea rock a talk box (also because I didn't know Andertons had them, which was really cool). Still waiting on Sound Like Ghost and The Doors (Robby Krieger), but for a bit of a U-turn so to speak how about a Sound Like K-On? It'd be interesting to see you guys try something from an animated series, plus that show has some really damn good riffs
Bea did also use the talkbox in Guns n Roses without buting
@@KeeperOfPoops Did he? It's been awhile since I watched it so I may have to go back to that one, but cool
Sound like Joy Division (you can do Bernard Summer and a bass rig for Peter Hook)
Guitar sound = 🤩
Sound Like Placebo please!!!!
I've commented that on a lotof their videos, they have a very unusual sound and would be great to hear, still waiting.
next time phil x is in town, ask him to stop by and shoot the 'by busting the bank' version with you guys :D
‘It’s is my life’ - Jon Bovi
Joe M I saw that tattoo!
Joe M hahahhaha
Bea, I'm sure that Bon Jovi is probably not you bag but this sounded awesome bro! Maybe it's the guitar but it sounded killer.
Suprised the Captain didnt make a guest appearence on this one as a self confessed Richie fanboy.
I'm curious why you never used a laney amp or does Andertons doesn't have any? There would be perfect possibilities for a 1500 pound budget. For example the IRT Studio with built-in reverb and pre-boost...
How about sound Like "who ever" Katana vs "__________ amp?"
You should do Bon Jovi BY busting the bank next - would be very interesting to hear! I'm not so much of a katana fan.
this was probably worse than the sound like John Frusciante video
Should've got Phil X to do this during the european Drills tour next year! (I know, I know, it's a joke, still love me some Phil X).
I think the time has come to ban the Katana from these vids. Yes it's great value, but it's pretty boring. Sorry guys. Can you do POUSA next?
i want the Marshall DSL40C to come back
What would the thought process be between code 50 vs katana on this.
Is katana just the better modeling amp?
It sounded great, just wondering since katana is always the easy choice within the modeling amp realm.
Solo for Wanted Dead or Alvie is truly one of the greatest guitar solos of all time!!!
*cough* dry county
The song is called You Give Love a Bad Name, not Shot Through The Heart.... Do Clutch or CoC?
Please make one sound like Danish Pete and Rabea Massaad! You guys just sound awesome without having to mimic anyone's playing ;-)
