My favourite way to bake salmon is to put it on baking paper and coat in sweet chilly sauce and bake in the oven, love how the suger caramelizes the skin 😍😍
Perfect meal!!!
I love that mayo .... I cut it open and use a rubber spatula to get the last bit of yummy out of it 😋 Love you videos, your so fun ❤❤❤❤
Funny thing is that the mayonnaise has to be Kewpia mayonnaise - tried others but the flavor is different
I would customize it by putting crispy garlic
I make this with canned tuna, it’s like a deconstructed tuna mayo onigiri and I’m 100% here for it
tuna mayo onigiri are the best! ♥
Except yum yum sauce instead of the Mayo. Haven't got to try Japanese Mayo yet! I wonder how close they taste? Not at all?
Sounds delicious! Definitely going to give both a try.
I do too!!! I love it
@@imamandaa I would say it's quite different. It's less sweet compared to normal mayo
It's a deconstructed salmon avocado roll.
Definitely, can’t see why it wouldn’t be good seeing what goes into it
yeah society worries me
Not really, salmon avocado roll usually used raw salmon sashimi. Not baked.
@@dAfoodie101 if this worries you, you worry too much lol
Exactly
I recently made this for a friend and didn’t have kimchi. I grated some cucumber and have it a sprinkle of sushi vinegar and crushed chilies. He said it was delish.
Omg Thank you so much for sharing this! Imma try it soon ! Love from Vancouver BC CANADA ‼️
@@tracyrobinson9442 🙌 Yay 🇨🇦 Canada!!!😉
Theres kimchi In this
@@jlovejamie Ik they said they didn’t so there was another option and it tasted just as good 😋
@@emily191 oh I didn’t know these bowls even had kimchi ! That’s why I was confused lol
the BEST way to bake salmon is to turn off the heat about halfway through cooking and allow carry over to finish the job. This allows the salmon juices to be reabsorbed.Try it and be amazed by the results.
THIS THANK YOU
Hello 👋 how are you doing today?
wow, i also seen someone pop theirs in an airfryer recently. i usually just use my ikea grill pan but now i have 2 new ways to try 😭
"You can fan it out and make it look as pretty or as ugly as you want because this is YOUR salmon bowl." I'm feeling that Bob Ross tranquility now. Thank you for that Ms. Emmy ^u^
Tabitha Brown vibes “because that’s your business”
I’ve been making this with the spicy Thai chili flavored tuna from the pouch. Not as good as fresh cooked salmon, of course, but it’s fast, inexpensive and yummy! Super easy for a work from home lunch. 😋
"Fast, inexpensive and yummy" makes it great!
The lemon ginger one works very well for this too.
Thats brilliant actually. I love my tuna patches
*pouches
They have salmon in packets just like tuna in packets.
I loved the short ceramics story! Events like that are a great way to become a part of the community, language barrier or not
Ive been actually making a similar iteration to this for years! I use canned tuna and make a tuna salad (with mayo, red onions, garlic powder, pepper), use white rice (ensuring it's cold though) and eat it with some Nori! Recently I've been adding cream cheese to the mix, avocados on the side, and spicy mayo (to make a makeshift Philadelphia roll). Top it with some sesame seeds - SO GOOD!
I do something similar. Japanese rice, canned tuna, Wasabi, mayo, nori. Mixed all together. And some Japanese pickled radish if available.
You eat cold rice? What?
@@capricorn8426 Any other rice dish, I eat warm but sushi & poke bowls have to be cold for me to enjoy!
@@Saintacy Ooh yes I mix a bit of wasabi in with my soy sauce to use as a dip! Cant forget wasabi. Yum
Same, I make them for my kids and all them sushibowls!
you’re so good at describing how foods taste and feel, and It’s really admirable.
I’ve been wanting to try this so bad. Now it’s set. I gotta. You’re just adorable. Thank you for trying this!
I hope you like it!
i made it and added cucumbers! it was delicious!!
I love that you show everyone what ticktoc things work well & what ones don't.
Also, love seeing you happy & getting to eat things you like.
Love your video Emmy and that bowl 🥣 looks tasty 😋
Thanks Emmy! I've been making some variation of this dish for months now. It's amazing how quick it is with canned tuna. Requires basically no cooking with the exception of the rice. I've probably made a version of this 2 dozen times since I saw your video. Maybe more. My favorite protein for this is the Thai Chili tuna that comes in a little can! I don't think I've ever found such a delicious meal that takes so little time and effort. 10/10 thank you so much for sharing this with us!
I made this a couple weeks ago and at first I was like meh, I thought this would be mind blowing, but the more I had on the seaweed, the more I appreciated it. It became too heavy for me so I ate the rest the next day and I fell in love with it and started imagining how it would be with crab, tuna, shrimp, cucumber, carrot, etc. I could eat sushi all day every day and this really hit the spot with a sushi craving, which going into I had no idea it would taste like. I bought more salmon the other day to make this again
I'm sorry, but "No, that's not acceptable." made me laugh WAY too hard.
Made this with my daughter the other day and was wondering when you were gonna make a vid 😂 we bake our salmon with mayo and powdered liptons onion soup mix. So good! We only needed to add a little bit of kewpie to the mix!
i actually love these bowls more than i thought i would!! i add shredded carrots on top as well as green onion or chives. it’s really simple and there’s so much room to make it how you love it.
I'm dying to try this and I can't wait to see how you like it!
Emmy if you're looking for a variation of how you do your salmon in the oven, try the air fryer! 400F for 7-9 minutes and it's incredible
i actually make this all the time with tuna or salmon from pouches!! i use furikake instead of nori sheets and change up the veggies based on what i have, it's been one of my favorite meals for years now
That impressive belch at the end made my day a little better.
Hello 👋 how are you doing today?
I love Emmys videos they’re short and sweet and leave you wanting more 😩
I make something similar. I call it “open sushi”. I layer rice with cooked fish or shrimp, season with spicy Mayo, garnish with cucumber and avocado, then we eat it with Nori sheets. Way less work than trying to make sushi rolls for my family of six!
Salmon and rice was a staple in out house. As Indigenous people we always put by for winter by canning salmon as well as fruit and veggies like tomatoes or corn or my favorite stewed tomatoes and mixed veggies. My cousins used it like salsa. Thanks Emmy 💓
I bet it was such a good feeling seeing all those beautiful jars of food lined up for winter. 😊
Hello 👋 how are you doing today?
@@goddessglenn1913 doing alright, how about you!? Warm hugs 💖🍀♾️
@@tracyrobinson9442 I'm good I'd like to know more about you if you don't mind 🙂
@@goddessglenn1913 47 and born and raised in Vancouver BC. No kids without paws.
I made this today and I used whatever we had in the pantry. I used canned tuna and only had regular mayo, but I mixed in some soy sauce beside the sriracha. And instead of avocado I roasted a bit of zucchini for some crunch. Then I put a sunny side up egg on it and it’s lovely 💕
This got me craving real bad. Stopped the video to cook a pot of rice, which I then added salt, sugar, vinegar. Then the canned tuna with yum yum sauce, a little mayo, and plenty of soy sauce. Didn't have anything else to add, but that's what I usually do anyway. Anyway, I've ate and am now watching the end of the video 😜
I love this!!!!
Yum yum sauce?
Your plating of the recipe is so pretty. The original videos makes want to gag a bit but your's is something that will make me want to try it
Wow this is so simple and looks delicious. In a crunch I would think you could use warmed canned salmon as well. I just discovered your channel and have been binge watching. You have great content and just love your personality.
Ok your salmon looks PERFECT . . . as someone who tends to accidentally overcook fish and end up with something not-so-juicy, I am going to remember your 350/9 minutes forever. That fish looks SO good. Also you used the absolutely * correct * amount of mayo . . . I hate seeing people remake this dish and skimp!!! Mayo is nothing to be afraid of and it brings so much for the flavor!!! Your bowl looked better than the original!!
Looks absolutely delicious! I love salmon and rice so this just elevates it!
Ahhh, I love this! You and Emily give me the same vibes, I love it ☺️
I’ve been making this with microwave white rice, salmon packet from the store, sriracha mayo and furikake topping. Quick easy and yum
Hello 👋 how are you doing today?
I used to make this all the time when I was a teenager. I used yoshida's teriyaki sauce, a little kikoman soy sauce and sriracha for sauce with some pepper and rice seasoning.
Just discovered kewpie mayo and I’m never going back to regular mayo lol
You should try homemade. We have hens and homemade mayo with fresh eggs is 💯🔥
@@1D991 super easy to make also. I make my own Mayo and ranch now I'll never go back to store bought
Love how 😋 yummy you make the dishes you do. Good job Emmy!👍💖🤗
By far my favorite tiktok recipe, it’s soooo good and I can’t stop eating it!! I’ve never had salmon until this & omfg MINDBLOWINGLY AMAZING
Oh yeah! I LOVE bowls like this. Everything right there in one dish. Scrumptious. My late Aunt always said that haha. Y late Dad always teased her about it. Thanks Emmy😍🥑🍣🥡
I've been using PF Chang's dynamite sauce in place of the Kewpie mayo and Sriracha, pretty tasty!
I've been wondering how is "Kewpie" written. I was like it can't possibly be "Q-P"...
Thanks!
@@PRDreams Kewpie is the brand name its a reference to the dolls of the same name afaik
I was so 😳 when I ordered Kewpie, anticipated it’s arrival, and made a dish, only to find out it’s an expensive Miracle Whip ☹️ which I’m not a fan of lol. I like trying cuisine from all over the world, and have a slightly higher than peasant palate, but am the type to be down for beans n’ rice or Peanut butter with BUTTER on toast as well, just to give scope to my epicurean taste… Miracle Whip is fine as a sub for Kewpie Mayo
I've been making this for a really long time, except I always added cucumber as well. I wish I knew everyone would love it so I could have posted it first 😜
I just made this for my husband and I after I stumbled across this video earlier today. It was really good and so satisfying and filling!! I think I’ll add this into my regular meal rotation:)
This is similar to our “sushi roll bowls” that we have at home. Rice, with rice vinegar, some sort of fish, shrimp, or imitation crab, avocado, cucumber, seaweed, shredded carrot. I add sriracha mayo to mine, but my kids only use soy sauce. Easy dinner, and very tasty.
All these years later, the same hairstyle…that’s comforting!! It’s been some years since watching, used to love the episodes where people around the world sent their snacks for Emmy to try!
Emmy cuts her own hair but it always changes! She has cut it up to her ear lobes before too 😁 I'm still watching her since her early living in Japan days.
Thank you for this! Was wondering what to do with my leftover rice and this looks so good 🤤🤤
I made this for my son and I and we both loved it!!! Fulfilled the sushi craving for sure!
I made this, but substituted the sriracha sauce with gochujang and it came out DELICIOUS!!
Your voice is soooooo soothing. Thank you for the video!
Avocado with salt and lime. Chefs kiss
THIS. also cucumber with hot sauce and lime
What a delightful dish! I can't wait to make this. Yum!!!
Making my version of this tonight! Can’t wait!
I made this dish for dinner tonight and it was absolutely delicious! I used kimchi and sprinkled furikake on top and it was amazing!
This looks tasty and prefect for the Salmon I got on sale at Kroger yesterday.
@@goddessglenn6557 hi
Kimchi does all the work - it provides the heat, the salt, the flavor.... you really wouldn't need the mayo, soy sauce or any other condiment, for that matter. Trust me, all you need is Kimchi!
Omg I just had this for dinner and it was DELICIOUS! I danced the whole time I was eating.
Your voice is so calming 🥺
Love salmon- I’m not a big fish fan, but salmon- yumm!
The way I eat it most often is in a noodle stir fry with soba noodles, veggies and a sauce made of Miri , soy sauce, grated ginger and wasabi paste….soooooo good!🥰
I wanna try this sooooo bad. Love the video❤️
Wow it’s actually my food to go whenever I have salmon!! I usually mix the rice with some fish sauce but would love to try it with mayo and siracha next time 🤗
This is rly good with quick “pickled” cucumbers too!
made this with a sushi bake riff! got the bottom of the rice crispy, and layered a mixture of salmon, imitation crab, mayo, and cream cheese! then mayo and sriracha and furikake on top! so good
love the handmade bowl!! And the meal looks tasty 😋
I've been yelled at before for heating up salmon at work. Bc of the smell. Lol
Hello 👋 how are you doing today?
Thank you for sharing ❤️
I love Oigatsuo. I use that to season most of my dishes. Yummy!
This has been my fave lazy meal for years. Sometimes I use canned tuna or sardines in place of salmon. Funny to see it’s taking TikTok by storm….
tik tok is so weird
I've been eating mixed tuna and rice (with soy sauce/mayo) since I was a child, so I am surprised that this combo is now becoming a trend. Although I have never mixed salmon and rice together, I always eat rice with EVERYTHING so i can imagine that it is tasty. I recommend everyone try the tuna & rice verson :D
Watching as I prepare dinner 😀❤️
Ive been eating this for years. Salmon or tuna. I add some cucumbers too. So good.
I love that soup base too!
The belch heard round the world. Lol that was totally unexpected but a recipe worth burping over. It's so good!
That looks so good!
Yummers 🥰🥰🥰that looks so good😋
I love this!! I’ve been making this for years but with canned tuna. It’s like a quick spicy tuna Onigiri but all mixed together. 🍙
Made it, it was soooo good!
wow never thought to use the lid to measure soy seasoning, that is so genius, thank you!!!
This with a drizzle of crunchy garlic chili oil and furikake on top is so yummy!
I've done something similar with salmon scraps that they sell at my local grocery store. Really great way to make a delicious meal with a cheaper portion of fish.
love you emmy ❤️❤️
I've made this a few times and I really like it! I add sesame oil sometimes too.
Hello 👋 how are you doing today?
Yum! That looks great!
Thank you so much for making videos
That looks so good
I would be watching a food video when I'm sick and have no appetite, will definitely be trying this in the future!
Hello 👋 how are you doing today?
I was already salivating halfway through the video!
Damn you.. now I have to try this.. the 5th video I ve seen and the weekends almost over 😂
It’s soo good I love it
Hmmm might need to make salmon tomorrow. Salmon is so good
Can attest: it is the PERFECT work lunch! So yummy and healthy! I do mine with brown rice and no sriracha 😊
its almost like a deconstructed sushi bowl. i love fish and rice in general but never thought to try it with mayo and sriracha. this is making me hungry!
Love this! So easy to make it keto.
I had this for dinner last night. So yummy!
So glad you didn't try to give yourself a case of advacado thumb! (That's we call it in UK when an amateur trys the chefy trick of chopping a knife into the stone and missing, and needing stitches)
I also made this recently. I added cucumber and crunchy fried onions 😄
I've been trying this with other meats, and ground beef and chicken are lovely, though I didn't have access to Nori sheets or Avocado so it was basically just rice meat and mayo+siracha
I want to try this pretty badly. Looks good
I used to make quinoa and salmon with kidney beans stew as a side dish. So delicious 🤤
I've literally been making something like this lately without even realizing it was a current trend lmao we call them sushi bowls and I usually just have the rice and salmon seperate with sriracha mayo on top 😋
Which frames are you wearing?! I love them 😍
I used to do this when I was a kid and I remember it wrapping it like a taco with seaweed sheets and adding some spicy Mayo over it!
I am drooling 😭
