Sedans have a form factor and sleekness that crossovers and SUVs can't compete with. And these CT5 & 4 are sharp. Nice red colors too, and actually made in the US (glances north at the Charger/300) Throw in much cheaper, more efficient, far better dynamics and handling, & lighter with the same power as the XT5 it mirrors (faster), and there's no reason people shouldn't start with the sedan first. Especially since average vehicle occupancy has been between 1-2 people since 1995.
The V Blackwing with a manual is an absolute piece of artwork. If GM was smart they’d continue this car. With no more Camaro and no manual in the Vette, this is an enthusiasts dream!
I like the looks of the CT4 and 5, both pre and post face lift, but I still firmly believe the last gen CTS wore the lines much better. There was a sharpness to it with the longer flatter hood that really made the front light wedges just pop.
A very nice up date to the CT-5, I like it a lot. But for heavens sake Cadillac, bring back the CT-6 as a traditional large American luxury sedan and build it in the US.
@@staceygantt1119I covet that vehicle!!! I suppose I should check the used market, except that I would worry how badly beaten the vehicle is... 🙂 The reason I'm drawn to the new CTx-V vehicles is that they offer Super Cruise, which I would benefit from. Though I would miss the V8 (I know the CT5-V Blackwing has a V8 but I'm not sure it comes with an automatic, which I have to have due to disability.)
I don't care what you say. The Cadillac CT6V is the roomiests car made. The trunk, the rear seats, DVD for rear passengers, Bose headsets, 32 speakers, and much more. I get offers on mine and will not trade her! She's sexy, fast, exhaust, and lowered her. That car looks like a Honda Civic!
Did I see a head-up display? Did you notice? Someone mentioned they thought that the CarPlay implementation on the Escalade was poor (no details though) so I wonder what it looks like.
Great video thank you. I will be in tbe market next year for a new car. I will definitely be purchasing the cadillac ct5. Thank you for doing a great job
No you were correct André, the CT5 competes with the 3-series despite it’s size. This is a 3-series competitor Americans just need more than 3-series space and that’s where the CT5 comes in. I don’t understand why people keep wanting to make this a 5-series direct competitor just because it’s able to compete there as well. It doesn’t change who the competition was intended to be and that’s the A3, 3-series and C-class.
I prefer a car over an SUV as long as it's easy to get in and out. That being said, I have an XT4 as it was on the dealer's lot and equipped the way I like.
Those 2.0l power numbers are str8 garbage. My 14 cts4 stock 282hp 305lb trq. She likes the fluids she likes and as long asbi maintain her she steadily suprises people with a turbo launch spooled up. I threw an intake on it and good gosh it sounds amazing now.
How much will the subscription cost per month for the Google stuff? And how will the glare be on this large piece of glass (display)? There's no cowling like the previous model (I think that's the right term - the gauge cluster is recessed and surrounded by an "enclosure" of sorts.)
So yet again no engine option in the top of the line sport trim???? WTH is Cadillac thinking??? The 2.0L is ok but not at all satisfying to drive and is quite noisy and rough at higher RPMs. For a 'sport sedan' of this size and at this price point 237HP is a joke. How hard would it be to just make the V6 an option in the sport?? They also have the 325HP 2.7L in their engine line up why not have it either as the base engine or at least an option?? I love this car and would have bought one long ago if there was a better engine option. I don't like the luxury trim pkg so that means I put up with the anemic 2.0L or pony up way more $ for a CT5-V or like I suspect many do I go get a 3 series BMW or a Genesis G70 because they actually have a decent motor. I've been a GM customer for 40 years but they never cease to amaze me at some of the idiotic decisions they make.
Why does Cadillac not on make an SUV on this platform instead of the XT4,XT5, XT6 which are all like driving a minivan??? The XT4 is a $60K malibu with a bigger trunk. The XT5 is a blinged up Equinox an the XT6 is a blinged up Traverse.
Couldn’t have said it better. Cadillac’s marketing has been a disaster for years, from the Ill-fated move to NYC, to the ridiculous naming nomenclature. Might as well bring back the duck commercials.
All of this outrage because _Cadillac_ took the time to incorporate a universal measurement for power since they actively are producing both ICE and EVs? You people love to make things up as you go and nitpick every single thing Americans do. It’s ridiculous and asinine.
My family was 5 decades owners of Cadillac …..me being the last. … when they sent the CT6 over sea… I bought the model S….. 2023….. Like the movie”Get Out”………. Wake UPPPPPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cadillac needs to bring the CT6 from China into the US.
Yes...I've been saying this...
We need the CT6-V again. That 4.2 Blackwing V8 is super cool.
@@that.cloutback that car would be a good. Full size sedan with a V8 ❤️
Or, and hear me out, no.

Good sedans will thrive in the near future because people are tired of generic, boring SUVs that are all the same. Go Cadillac!!
Hoping you're right!

Absolutely. Well stated!
I like the looks of the CT4 and 5, both pre and post face lift, but I still firmly believe the last gen CTS wore the lines much better. There was a sharpness to it with the longer flatter hood that really made the front light wedges just pop.
Power numbers were better too. My 14 2.0 came stock with 282hp 305lbs trq.

I like sedans too.. There are too much crossover and SUV's. We need more "normal" cars again.
I like the color.
Nobody thought the sedan is dead 💀 😂
Don't know why people keep saying that.
BRAVO CADILLAC! 🔥🔥🔥 Can't wait to see the base Luxury trim.
Yes please, bring a *BIGGER* sedan! Please! Bring back a CT6. I miss the old days when sedans were still king.
Hola! I've got a 2019 CT6 V and NOT trading her for anything! Little ass CT4 and CT5 🙄

Sedan sales goes up. Shocker. That's the only actually modern sedan. Charger/300 is dieing with super old platform, just putting lipstick on the pig.
The Blackwing with a manual is a great substitute for a Camaro (with 4 doors). Glad to see the Caddy lives on but I doubt it will be too much longer.
There will be a successor in BEV form. Should be a spectacular product to look out for.
Cadillac will always live as long as they got the Escalade.
My dream would be a plug-in hybrid CT4 wagon.
Lol mine would be AT4-V. wagon

Amazing sedan , i just love sedans 😃😃😃👍👍👍

Sedans still are desirable if styled properly with good powertrains.

I want that Blackwing. That is all.
Beautiful interior and exterior. I need that with all electric drive train, 400+ miles range, and FSD, by 2034, to replace my Cadillac CTS.

Well I think they cheat a bit with the newton meters thing; I think they round *up* a bit. VERY nice looking paint!!!

Is the volume knob gone?
Does the 2025 CT5 come with a 6 sp MT?
Applauding sedans while ignoring the death of the coupe.. the REAL sleek movers. Sad
Nice

With the CT5 BW get this same interior refresh ? In 2025
I want a Blackwing, but I can't justify that price...
Aside from the slight modification to the headlamp design the rest of the car appears to be carryover.
Y'all should take a trip to China and review the BUICK sedans over there just to troll. Lol
Are they going to bring these changes to CT4/4BW
It's coming.
Now give part of this Chassis to Chevy and give us the Impala back
That would be awesome, I'd love to see an Impala SS with the LT4 engine.
Torque is not a measure of power; any first year engineering student would know this. What GM is doing is engaging in marketing nonsense. Again

That back seat is troubling to me
CADILLAC IS NICE BUT BACK SEATS ARE CRAMPED FOR TALL PEOPLE NEEDS MORE BACK SEAT ROOM SPACE LACKING
IM ALMOST 6'3
I loveee sedans, don't get the SUV hype...
Caa-Due
Who's gonna throw away $100k plus on a quickly depreciating junk in this depressionary Obiden economy?
Sedans will likely be around longer than EV's will.
"The sedan isn't dead" but you can't sit in the back seat as an adult. 😐
yea, no one is buying that.
Sorry you're broke.
Grandparents everywhere will rejoice, but say it has too much computer stuff 😂👴🏻🧓🏻
