Searching the lightburn forums lead me to your thread and this video. Man, what a lifesaver and SUPER way to simplify the workflow using libraries!! Thanks for this one!!
Rich I wanted to thank you for all that you do for this community! I bought your laser file library and it will give me a good starting point to fine tune my my skills. I started with a Ortur Laser Master fours years ago with light burn. Some what got bored and parked it. I recently bought a Longer Ray 5 10 watt with air assist wow what s difference! I will say I have learned so much from your videos and I appreciate what you do! 😁🛫
Rich, i believe u have become my go to for LB understanding. I am struggling severely do to my lack of tech savvy and have several times now, looked at my setup and wondered how much i can get for it on FB... I'm going to hang in there with your channel and see if i can improve my knowledge. And maybe ask for help and advice? I wish i had someone close that is running lightburn so i could have hands on teaching.. Thank You
Great tutorial! I wish that we could do nested library names, ie, I could have one called SPORTS, under which would be BASKETBALL, BASEBALL, FOOTBALL, etc. That would help keep the directory list shorter and more organized.
At the end of the video if you save your edited graphic, will it overwrite all the other graphics in the library you saved previously? Now I am off to creating and organizing my own library and to download some free libraries. This was not so easy for me to learn but now that I understand...it's easy. Thanks for such detailed instructions.
Thank you so much! I really appreciate it! 👍 Nothing gets overwritten. Saving is not necessary on the Art Library since V 0.94. If you try and overwrite a graphic in the Art Library, you'll get a pop-up warning.
@@TheLouisianaHobbyGuy This week I’ll join The Patron side, I bought myself a 50w CO2 laser 2 weeks ago only just set up, didn’t want to rush things, I’ve installed lightburn hope this is a good choice
At 10 minutes in, after adding content to the Art Library, you switch over to the Material Library and click save. This is not needed, as the Art Library and Material Library are two different tools, whose contents are stored in different files.
Aloha Rich, You make great videos! In your other video you had a three layer design and you were able to just take one layer at a time from art library. How would I be able to do that in my art library. I design things in illustrator and have several designs on one page when I import to Lightburn do I need to import them individually. I hope that made sense. Thank you
You can import them all at once to Lightburn, and select the layers individually and click, Import graphic from project on the Art Library tab Warrick.
Have you ran across files you put into the art library being removed from the library after rebooting the computer or files being transferred to another also after a reboot? Basically I'll import a file named Coffee Mugs with 60 files. Ill be able to pick a few and put them on the grid to burn onto a product then after finding out my computer rebooted after updates I'll find Coffee Mugs deleted from the art library and find half of the files from Coffee Mugs in a separate file in the art library.
Hey Rich thanks, this always helps to go back and re-watch. I have Lightburn on 2 computers, can I take one art library from one and put it on the other computer? Is it as simple as copying my file to a flash drive and putting it on the other computer!
Rich I really want to get the libray's going.. I was successful installing your materials library and cut the 400x430 grid last night. Thankyou for all the hours spent on this. As you ad things to the library(ies) does it make the program slow down on load up or while working on projects ?
No, you're not actually adding images and graphics, you're adding computer code, so no slow down at all.
OK I added the Monport-80watt library. I am wanting to try engraving on denim. Under Cloth is 0.094 in. Is that for focus?
No, that's the thickness for a cut. You should be in mm/sec in the settings, and that setting should be for 1mm thickness.
