Before the 1.13 update, there was a way to get different tickets. But the update ended that so now it's set and truly a waste of memory. It's beyond the point of anger now!

The way these tickets work is each ticket let has a seed that is automatically assigned to said ticket the moment you receive it. Every ticket you receive in GT7 is pre determined which makes the roulette style ticket thing completely pointless to most people. Personally I’d rather just receive the pre-set reward automatically when given the ticket rather than stashing a bunch of things to go through and wait on animations.
I want to see proof they are seeded. Personally I don't believe they are. It is probably a problem with weight given to each reward. Lesser reward having too much weight when the game decides the outcome.
Absolutely agree, I did the claimed glitch where you can re-do the roulette and surprise surprise it lands on the same item everything! And what else is when you re-load everything else changes apart from the item you always win and it did this 20 times! It's absolutely seeded
This is exactly it. Many games are similar. You get a seeded gift when you get the item, it’s not WHEN you do the roll. R6 Siege, Overwatch, they are all like that. It’s so these can’t be manipulated. The seed knows the value is 5k, it doesn’t matter what the other items are.
Yep. Such a waste of time. Just click to reveal prize would be much better rather than this guise of roulette. We have to grind enough for credits. We shouldn’t have to spend even more time on this rigged funfair nonsense.

I think I wouldn’t mind the fact that you get the lowest amount most of the time if the lowest amount was commensurate with the stars on the ticket. A 4-star ticket shouldn’t have the same lowest reward value as a 1-star ticket.
I think the stars mean the best possible prize is better but, due to the very high probability you get the smallest reward aniway, they should tweak this system indeed. It's frustrating.
I'd also love to know what determines how many stars the ticket is?
There all worth 5 credits have not won anything but this.
I really hope they give a better minimum reward for 4-start tickets. I don't play GT7 because I don't have a PS5, but I faced similar issues with Forza Horizon 5's Wheelspins & Super Wheelspins. Super Wheelspins are more expensive to buy + they're rarer and harder to earn, yet the minimum prize is still the same. So you could get a $5000 prize from a normal wheelspin but a superwheelspin might give you two $1000 prizes and a t-shirt. There's literally no incentive to get superwheelspins because they can be just as bad if not worse, so why go through the effort of playing the game to get them?
Anyways, really hope GT7 gets fixed properly. Gran Turismo fans have been waiting way too long for the game to just be a cheap casino. I started with Gran Turismo when I was a kid, and I'd be pissed off too if they ruined the game the way they did in GT7. Best wishes to all the players out there!

I’d rather they just remove it. It’s an absolute waste of time, you know exactly what you’re getting when you do open a ticket. The absolute minimum amount. It’s worse when you actually manage to get a 5 star I almost don’t want to open it because of shear disappointment

This is the exact reason why I haven’t been able to get a 4 rotor engine for the FD RX7 and probably won’t be able to get it ever unless they fix this. For now I have 2 solutions for this
1. Make the reloutte system completely random
2. Remove engine swaps and special parts from the reloutte system and allow us to buy them in the tuning shop under conversions/engine swaps

Given the in-game economy the 5000 credit prize is essentially worthless. The min-values should be at least 20k given you have legendary cars costing 20m credits. Getting a prize of 1/400th of the price of said car is not really helping that much

I think 1 ticket is ok for the first daily mileage, given you mostly get bum rewards. However there should be additional tickets received with better prizes when you do more miles. Say at 100miles then 200miles ect.
I'd just leave the thawk riding the wall at stage X for 10 hours a day while I work. That is why thats not a thing
should be dine with daily or weekly drift challenges and time attacks in different sectors of the tracks. and other daily challenges like that
For a month straight I've been getting the lowest amount of money, no matter the amount of stars. Miss the gt sport roulette. Also what happened to them giving us the ability to sell our cars

I mean yes for 90% of the time yeah but I had like 2-3 cars and like 4-5 tuning parts out of this.

I actually won an F1 car a couple weeks ago. This was by far the best prize I won so far and actually up to that point I had done pretty well. Since that spin I have got lowest amount every single time except for once, when I won a GR3 car that I already own ☹️

Based on my experience with gacha-type of games, lower rarity rewards always have way bigger rate than higher rarity rewards. In _Cinderella Girls Starlight Stage,_ for example, rewards in the gacha (something like roulette or lootbox) are grouped into three; Rare (87%), Secret Rare (10%), and Super Secret Rare (3%). Here, it's clear that R rarity has way bigger probability than SR and SSR, so players end up getting R most of the time.
I believe this is the trick Polyphony Digital uses here. Small coins have way bigger probability than the rest, even against bigger amount of coins. What sparks the problem here is Polyphony presented the roulette as if all 5 rewards have the same probability, while in fact it isn't, and they won't show the numbers no matter what.
*This is different from gacha games where the numbers are clearly stated in an easily accesible page within the game, thus having some degree of transparency.*

Take my words with a pinch of salt. I assume, the probability of small coins is 90% or higher. The remaining 10% is distributed to other rewards in an uneven manner. Of course, this is a baseless assumption, so (once again I say) take my words with a pinch of salt.
I opened just about 50 and got the worst prize 40 times. I got 3 cars. I got 500000 once. And the other spins were the second worse. Honestly very disappointed.
I really want PD and The Gran Turismo producers to publish the odds of what youre going to get.
I thought they were required by law to disclose odds in regions such as Belgium

The spinning wheel concept is totally for your entertainment. Items are randomapart from the prize item. The prize is already determined the moment you get the ticket.
another easy way to test would be to wait until you get a great prize, then redo that spin several times and see if its truly predetermined

Theyre predetermined as you get them. Someone recieved collecting 100 cars trophy just from recieving the ticket. Not opening it.

They should remove it. What are the odds you’ll get a carbon driveshaft or other unique parts for your favorite car? Probably never. So it’s just a tease.
Performance related parts shouldn't only be available through a lottery mechanic. Whoever thought that was a good idea should be fired at Polyphony.

I got a swap for the s13 and a ultra high rpm turbo for the Nissan drift car. Other then that it has always been the lowest prize with 1 exception in the beginning of the game I got 500k credits off of a 4 star.
I got a car from Roulette once. It was the only RUF in the game, which was listed on the used car lot at the time. I obviously already had the car, so it was the only reward worth less than the smallest coin pile. So I run a Tomahawk X on Tokyo east. 350 cars so far, about 70 to go.
The "roulette" system has left a sour taste for me. It's the one of the game that annoys me.
I've started the game today, so I'm progressing and obtaining roulette tickets pretty quickly at the moment. Never played or watched videos before to not auto-spoil the new features of the game. After a while I felt that the roulette was always giving me the worst possible prize. So I started to look on internet If I was being unlucky. Thanks to you, I know that I'm not cursed with bad luck, the real reason is the roulette is a scam

Someone needs to do this like 50 times in a row unedited so we have an undeniable sample size, then we can make a huge fuss about it on Reddit and maybe get them to actually change it to be real roulette. It seems like they listened to some feedback about the initial game. Maybe if we raise a big enough stink we can get fair tickets.

Multiple people on GTPlanet have and they got different wheels but the same reward (the one that didn’t change out of the 5) so we have known it’s been pre determined since the start.

I noticed that when your doing missions or licences that if your having difficulties the longer it takes you to complete that mission or licence or race the better the reward of the roulette.

I agree with some of the comments. Completely remove it. Its already pretty determined what you will receive lowest prize. And what get an invatations to cars you don't need...come on..
It was proven weeks ago by numerous other youtubers and on redit that the reward is determined when you receive it rather than when you open it.
This, along with alot of other reasons, will cause gt7 to be irrelevant far sooner than we all could imagine.

Prior to update 1.12 I was finding the roulette quite random so I was seeing some good success every 2-3 tickets. Since this update I’ve only got the smallest number of coins, plus one random bag-o-shite car.
Pre 1.12 was exactly the same as this. Lots of vids on RUclips about it.
Yeah agree, I've actually had some really good stuff from the tickets, I won the 500000, twice, I've won the porche gr1 24hrs car worth 3mil and bunch of other 1mil cars, then the update and now its almost always the lowest prize.
I reported it to Playstation customer support yesterday. If a patch isn't released to address the issue a case could be made to file a lawsuit. I think enough people have identified the same issue judging simply by the comments on this video.
I have a way to try and fix this:
So, do you know the card system they used during the career mode after you win a championship for the first time? Why not just do that again, but add 6 cards to choose from instead? The possible rewards (like the tuning parts, credits, and cars) can still stay the same too. That way, it can be YOUR fault you got 5000 Credits instead of that fancy 787B engine swap.
Good one! But Poliphony doesn't want you to have the same odds for the 5k than the GR.3 or the engine swap.
Card system is likely rigged similarly as a three card Monty.
My brother got me into the habit of clicking the ticket but looking away long enough for the audio cue the prize was won.. can't be disappointed with what else you were teased with

I did a similar test over the course of a couple of weeks, each ticket would give me exactly the same reward regardless of when I opened it, I closed after each run and always had the same reward but frequently got different rolls, it’s terrible! Cheapens the game for me
Ya, I did also, the other "offerings" may change, but the prize given never changed, not even the colour of any vehicles I "won". I saved all my tickets for over two weeks, waited for the update hoping they would improve the roulette gimmick, but sadly here we are...
thats why its done the way it is... so you cant cheat until you get good reward... doh
I agree with what you are saying. Many of us have tested this. Seems like the game already knows your prize when you get the ticket. All the flashing lights and appearance of chance is just for show. At least that is what many if us are thinking.
They should just skip the charade and either give us any gift for doing the daily marathon or just do away with the entire driving marathon gift roulette concept and and let us buy the roulette only items (like carbon drive shafts).

Julian, does it really have to be 100? Because seriously, I did well over 70 times when I had about 8 tickets and I had each one catalogued as to what I was going to get. I was so aggravated because before the patch, I was able to somewhat determine the prize but now it doesn't.
What's the percentage likelihood of getting the 5000 coins through all the spins I did?
@@Kireth if you only did it 3 or 4 times. Pretty likely. But you could statistically figure out exactly what the roulette wheel is doing with your technique.
I’ll try the reverse technique if I get a high value prize.

I had some impressive prizes, One was an Audi R18 Gr.1, the other was the Jaguar VGT SV.
I immediately realized this when the game first came out - I always look at the worst prize and said "it's gonna be that one" and sure enough, it's almost always that one. I think it's just that it's definitely not a 1 of 5 chance. Your odds of getting the crappiest prize are probably like 80% and the most expensive one is probably like 5% chance.
Gran Turismo Sport had this same roulette thing, however they were all cars, so you were guaranteed to win a car each time lol
Can confirm. Got an AM Invitation. Quit several times after the roulette , other items sprung up including coins, but only gave me the same invite each time..

It's probably the worst system I've seen in a game , it doesn't make me want to buy credits either in fact it makes me not wanting to play the game due to unobtainable cars I want because 2 times I've finally gotten the money to buy a Mazda 787 and the other LM car and it's gone off sale whilst I was doing the event to get the car it's bs tbh
But on GT sport I won a few cars (that I never drove ) gt7 for me is broken because of Thier greed .always thought kaz was one of the last people to go this way

The same thing happened to me. I wanted the Pennzoil Skyline and it was available before a race that would put me over the top on credits. Then when I went to buy it it was sold out. Shady and unnecessary practices indeed.
I won a Group 4 Hyundai and the 1 million credit stack of gold bars last week. 9/10 I get the lowest prize but I have gotten good rewards a few times from the roulette wheel

The roulette tickets and always online requirement are my biggest issue as of today, since the credit rewards have been *"FIXED"*.
Seriously, the roulette tickets are driving me away, PD are holding back very special features of the game for absolutely zero reason. You can't buy roulette tickets...and hopefully they don't take that route...
More attention needs to be brought about the roulette, these rare parts are completely unobtainable otherwise, I dont see how this helps their playerbase - I'm literally in the midst of arranging my PC setup to go back playing Assetto Corsa, I want engine swaps, plain and simple, dont add a feature & then make it almost impossible / only one RIGGED way to obtain. - *I've played GT7 everday since release, I have 78% completed and have yet to receive ONE RARE PART - got 5 or 6 normal parts that I can buy already.*
In a few hours I'll be roaming Assetto Corsa, I'll throw on GT7 to get my daily roulette LMFAO, that's about it..
GT7 pisses me off as a lifelong GT player, I bought GT1 the very first week it came out and have been a fanboy since, this is the worst edition of GT ever, Prologue was better ffs..

100% true. I tried this and got the same suspension for a specific car each time for my ticket. The item is determined when you get the ticket, the roulette wheel is just for show.
I would be happy to click on a ticket and immediately get the pre-determined gift, it's the deception I don't like.
On another note, it's a shame they haven't got Doc Brown's delorian body kit available in this game, even if it were Cr10m I'd grind races all day to get it.

I'm already a subscriber and not the luckiest at anything. Last night on an account that doesn't carry PS Plus I won 1,000,000Crs on a two-star ticket. The stack of GOLD bars, I know, right? Love your info.

I guess the actual “roulette” is done when you receive the ticket, and the opening of the prize is a bit of a weird sham. Now, I kind of understand this, as otherwise you could do what you are trying and keep going back and opening the ticket again and again to get what you want, which is obviously not a glitch they want. But…. The “always getting the lowest possible money” part is hugely irritating. I got a Mazda hypercar, an Aston concept and half a million credits since March, and virtually every other spin has been 2-10000 credits. That bit needs adjusting.

I figured this out when I got a trophy for winning a car the moment I clicked on a ticket. It’s not an actual spin. The result is determined with no correlation to the animation

This could 100% just be luck as the worst reward will defo be the heaviest weighted in terms of odds. Cars are probs a 2% chance at most, small money is probably 35-40% 2nd smallest money will probs be about 25% etc.
Same as all loot box type mechanics ever.
The main point is making assumptions based on anything less than 1000 tests is horrendously inaccurate
I worked on slot machines software and that's basically how they work. The random number assigned to your spin already determines the prize, the spin is pure cosmetic. When you spin the slot machine reels the animation is bullsh and the result is already precalculated. What makes me furious is that this is a full price game and everyone hates this sort of mechanics (I guess it is different in Japan?)
The second issue is that the spin is not balanced, you don't have a 1/5 chance for each item, and it would be very intering to know the real chances you can get from a ticket. There's maybe laws in some countries that make it mandatory, worth checking!
I've been a GT fan since GT one, and have bought every version, put thousands of hours into this game. I have consistently gotten the lowest roulette every single time, without fail. My good friend just got into the game, bought GT Sports a few weeks before GT7 came out, and he is getting all sorts of great prizes. He got a Ferrari FXX on one, when I got a 5000 credit on the same spin. I think they are rewarding new players to the game so they stay playing, and us faithful players get garbage, cause they know we aren't going to leave. Just my .02

It's random, but at the time of generation. For example, game decides to give you a 3-star ticket, then it picks from the 3-star prizes and among these the prize you'll win. Then it generates a ticket.
The random part has already happened even before you win the ticket. You win coins most of the time because the odds are terrible.
I just wish they would remove the illusion of chance being a part of your reward.
The explanation is quite easy actually. the price you will receive is selected when the ticket itself is generated. with a high chance for the lowest price and slighty higher chance of the other prices. the animation itself isnothing more than that - an animation. what you win was selected in the moment you received the ticket.

I confirm this too, when I see the lowest amount for those stars count cards i definitely know is going to be the lowest coin count I will get No random at all , sadly the in game monetary system is created in such way it pushes you to buy credits with your own money, and because of this I dont feel bad glitching to obtain high amounts of cash elsewhere in the game.
just drive tomahawk for hour a day and you will have no issues with money.

@@Kireth it's a real shame that PD seem to have abandoned what was a great formula for online gaming - I really feel they could easily have copy pasted GT Sport's multiplayer, daily races and time trials into GT7 without losing anything from the single player game.

This doesn’t prove that it’s pre determined unless many more tests has been done. In my opinion, I just think that the lowest prize has the highest probability percentage of you getting it.
So, uh, that's not how Roulette works.....Esp when there's only ONE sh++e prize. That means the chances are LOW that you get that prize. Uh, but ok.....
It doesn’t prove the game is programmed to give you the worst reward, this just suggests that the reward always comes with the ticket and the other possible rewards are just placeholders.
You should do this with a ticket that gives you a car or an engine to see what happens, altough it’ll probably still give you the same reward.
My own theory is that the roulette is a pre-determined reward, X-coins, , and likely because the car list availability will be modified it needs to be randomized (unsure if this would apply also to the car part, guessing the roulette tier determines whether it even has that as an option). It doesn't make sense for it to be retried because players will just take advantage of that until they get what they want so all rewards are "locked in" to some extent.
What would be curious to see is if the ticket was pre-allocated a car, if it would keep the specific car or if you could re-roll it.
I've never gotten anything better than the lowest prize.

I wish they'd bring it back to where the roulette was just cars only and in hopes they they'll soon add a feature where you can buy a engine to swap into another car to make it faster, rather than relying on the roulette system.

In my two months play, I have gotten a majority the lowest prize. 2 cars, 1 engine, 2 parts. I am glad to take anything free for just playing the game daily. I also hope they allow selling cars again.
Would like to see this same test done but when a better prize is awarded, like a car or gold bar.

I got my hundreth car by a roulette ticket. The earned trophy notification showed up, as soon as i clicked the roulette ticket. So the rewared is definitely fixed to the tickez!

On lvl 34 and I’ve only got the smallest amount of coins . Except a few times . Never got the top reward .
Prior to 1.13 I got: Coyote Engine, 2x Silivia engines, Lvl 5 Weight reduction for GTR safety car, carbon prop shaft for BAC Mono, 917 Living Legend, Hellcat, Zonda, and a bunch of other stuff. It felt like every 3-5 spins was something random with the rest of the spins being the lowest possible pay out.
Since the last patch I have received the lowest pay out on every single ticket. Now I don't know if they changed something or if I was just lucky with the spins before but it 100% feels different to me.
Just started playing the game three days ago. I believe I’ve gotten seven different tickets and every single time the prize is always the least amount of coins. Very frustrating.
I’ve been experimenting by pressing different buttons on the controller as I confirm opening the ticket and I’m finding that I can get an unusual sound at the start of the normal roulette effects and each time I’m getting decent prizes. This is only about a 1/3 of the time and it’s generally the D-pad buttons triggering it, but there’s no pattern I can discern as of yet. Just the sound alone was enough to peak my curiosity and the resulting better than crap prize was the kicker. I believe there’s something to this but will need to have a larger data set to know with more confidence. A lot like Mario Kart starting lights/beep turboboost secret.

It isn't pre determined, it's percentage based so the worth of the price affects the percentage of likelihood of winning it, and so the cheapest option is the one you're most likely to get. The 5,000 coins prize is by far the cheapest and so you're almost guaranteed to get that, but if say you get a spin with an engine swap and the others are cars, you'll win the engine swap as it is the cheapest and therefore the most likely prize.
In my personal experience, I've had good luck with the spins, and I honestly don't mind getting the 5,000 coins as it is the one you should expect, and weighing expectations on winning something better is unrealistic.

I had another experience that confirms this. When I got the trophy for 100 cars it automatically popped out the instant I clicked on the roulette ticket and that was when I realized it was a predetermined outcome
I don’t understand why Gran Turismo seven chooses to play dirty tricks like this unless somehow they think we’ll get so frustrated that we will spend real money in their store to buy cars . Gran Turismo seven is turning out to be the most frustrating Gran Turismo game I’ve ever played
i won a car on the roulette ticket and it was my 100th car. the second i clicked the ticket i got the trophy, before anything even showed on the screen and started spinning

Agree, just give us the reward. There's no need for the false prizes when it's predetermined Or make the probability 20% if it is roulette table with 5 options. I noticed that like 3 in that you always get the lowest prize. Very disappointing.

I actually got a GR3 car at the beginning of the game. After that, it was just the smallest amount of coins or car parts.
GT7 is the first GT game I've bought since GT4 and these roulette tickets are the dumbest addition and should honestly just be removed. Just keep the game simple.
@near sighted time traveler I got in on the beta for GT Sport and I've been doing some of the daily races on GT7. The online races are really good and the penalty system for the most part has been fair. I want to get a wheel before I really dive into the multiplayer though.
They should show the actual probabilities. Because you see 5 rewards, you expect to have 20% chance for each. They should put under each reward the percentage. Like 3% for a car, 5% for a part, 85% chance for the lowest amount of money.
Yeah I done this over a month ago. Prizes will be different but always got the lowest prize on the same ticket. After 20 times on the same ticket I concluded it's predetermined.
