This is nothing new . A guy did a 1978 Freightliner cabover on a 1990 3/4 ton Ford F-250 chassis back in 1998 . Completely road legal to Ontario Canada standards ( which are high ) with a full aluminum checker plate deck and fifth wheel hitch !

Look up the MANSE TRUCK, PAHRUMP, NV. They've been doing this same thing on big rigs and being. I lived in PAHRUMP for 20 yrs. the MANSE TRUCK were all over the place. Lived there from 1986 to 2006.
The lil Pete's are built on 1994-97 2wd F250 and F350 trucks with the 7.3l PowerStroke and E4OD auto transmission. Though I believe in their site the ZF542s and ZF547s manuals will work with some modification. I've been wanting of for years, but finding a vintage 7.3 PSD in 2wd is hard.

There was a 5th wheel receiver on the one they kept showing driving down the road. I'm assuming it's functional but it could just be for show unless you order an upgrade.
Yes you have to order the upgrade. We are currently working on one now the owner is going to us to haul cattle with. The truck is to attract people at the cattle shows!
Our cliental is mostly ex truckers, who can no longer drive the real thing. It's awesome seeing the joy in an retired trucker's eyes when he sits in his custom truck.

Bro I live outside and have often worked within Nashville and I’ve NEVER seen one of these. A super sleeper version would be an incredible vehicle for guys who spend a lot of time on the road. I run a small marketing firm and I’d love to take a look a getting these guys out there. There’s absolutely no excuse for the fact that these aren’t driving all over Appalachia right now.

This is genius! These little "Big rigs" would be perfect for some of those big city docks that aren't designed for 53ft trailers, well, that is a 53ft trailer with about 12ft of tractor. These little trucks could whip it in to a thought spot and hardly break a sweat. I like it.
