I wonder how much it costs to build one?

This is my grandpa Jerry. He was such an amazing, funny and intelligent man. He is going to be missed and I’m so happy I’ve found these videos of him.
I remember when he first started building the lil Pete. I didn’t get to see it yet but one day he was driving near Mississippi where I lived at the time and my husband and I met him for dinner. My husband didn’t know what to expect from him. During dinner my grandpa leans over the table and whispered to my husband “do you want to see my little Peter” 😂 my husband about spat out his food not knowing what he was talking about. My grandpa was laughing and said “don’t worry it’s a miniature Peter built”. My husband who is a car and truck enthusiast was so excited! And they became amazing friends since then. I will for ever miss you grandpa. ❤
That's so funny haha little peter
He sounds like he was a legend !
Where are the trucks now ?
My condolences...he seemed like he would be a better grandpa then truck builder..and those were the best lil trucks I ever saw.
Thank you for sharing a bit of history about your Grandfather. That story with your husband was hilarious. Your grandfather seemed like the kind of Man that has some lively storys to share. As I was watching this, being so impressed by the level of fabrication and engineering he put into his trucks, I look up and see his hat. Strategic Air Command. It starts to make since. This Man is literally the kind of person that could design and engineer well before computer modeling. I can tell by his articulation, how he carries himself, his knowledge and his character, this is America's very best. I wondered what kind of work he did in SAC, how his love of American engineering and exceptionalism continued on after his military career. I think as we admire those beautiful trucks, we can see his love of it carried on. Thanks again for sharing and thanks to your Grandfather for being what makes our country so great!
I love this guy, I hope he lives forever because we need men like this in our lives right now.
I couldn't agree more!
Thank you for your comment. Unfortunately my grandpa passed earlier yesterday morning. May this legend live on. He is missed by so many.
@@charissashaecc I am very sorry for your loss, you and all of his loved ones have my most sincere condolences. He seemed like one heckuva great man.
I can't be the only one that thinks if truck companies actually made these, people would buy them like crazy
Hell I want one right damn now lol
Agree
I want one now
I’ve been trying to figure out where to buy one my self
Omg yes we would
Any idea the price tag?? They’d have to be close in price to a class A motor home or more. I don’t have $250k for something that is more a less a toy. I guess you could pull a hotshot but not much more.My new Ford 3/4 ton pickup was just short of 70k.The $200k was a price if it was mass produced.
I would get a trailer and run it hotshot 😂😂😂
Right!!!! Lol
Hotshots lol
That was my thought as well.
@@nightbloodrayna Naaaaahhh, Uber sounds better, home daily.
Facts
Those things are top notch, incredible work, he's doing what he worked his whole life to do, playing with his toys. He deserves it what a great man, keep on trucking old timer we all love you.
I've always wanted to build a lil pete! Or lil big rig...That is a stand up guy right there!
Yesss!!!! Jerry is amazing
Man, he's one of the coolest guys I've ever seen. Loving the lil Peterbilts
So cool to see someone allot older still having fun with stuff like this, and those trucks are insane!!!
Those little Pete's are too cool, and he made sure he used an early chassis from Ford with the most reliable diesel they ever made
Should have used a Cummins Like the bigs
Wow, the gentleman who owns the lil Pete's is such a sweet man. He is the type of person everyone wants as a Dad or Grand Father. He has such a good heart. I love it when he says everything is about the kids. Nothing is truer words. To bad I live in Canada because it would be a honor to meet this man. Plus I love them lil Pete's.
Love that 7.3 sound. Absolute gorgeous
Even the opening and the closing of the doors gots the Iconic sound full-size tractor truck door , that’s very kooL
This gentleman is a real sweetheart everything he does is for those children
Those 2 miniature versions of those trucks were very cute
I love those lil Pete Trucks one of the coolest things l seen In a long time for sure but that man ls such a glentleman my heart melts when he said everything lt was for the kids you can see it in his eyes he ls doing it with pure love for those angels that are sick he knows this those trucks are a big dream for every kid in this world !!
Enpinga la ratrica
@@AntilleanConfederation jajaj si están de pinga tremendo invento y trabajo que metieron ahí
Something so special should be shared with the world ! I don't know about anyone else but , I don't feel right driving a car anymore. I'd love one of these .
I just hope he has all the respect of all the big boys out there. As the what he has accomplished is no small feat
Would be really cool to see one with a polished dump truck body on it, would be super useful for picking up stuff at lowes/homedepot too!
That's what you call a true genuine man with a heart of gold 💛
That's freaking COOL! I'm impressed for sure
They finally have a Peterbilt for HotShots
😇❤🙏
🤣🤣 I don’t know if that’s an insult or a real compliment
Lmao 🤣
These can be easily replicated.
Asian mai you R the isth. Love this channel.
@@louhawk559 Not sure if easy is the right word. Yes somebody could start making similar vehicles, however I doubt it woukd be easy to do so. Personally I woukd like to see a mini Kw900 , a mini kwT2000 , a mini Pete 387, a mini Freighter Cascadia ( 2020 model). They could use a 1 ton chassis so you could hotshot with them.
These are absolutely beautiful! I wish I could afford one of them, especially with the dual towing option like on truck#1. Excellent job.
I have wanted to build one for years and I think I am finally going to do it. I would like to build one on a f650 chassis with the cat c7.
I’d love to have the one with the bed in it. I’d keep it shining and put it to work. It would put a whole new meaning to hotshots.
RIP Mr. Jerry. Both rigs are spectacular. The details on both are absolutely amazing and one of a kind.
Gosh ... we all wish we had one of those Lil' Pete vehicles ... I had a Lil' Pete COE built on a Econoline van, but it was mainly just badges and paint ... had a lot of fun with it !!! Most of us just don't have the money, but it's sure fun lookin' at other creations. Thanks for the great video !!
i love how fired up he is about his trucks. so awesome! great video man.
That's so clean man. Just the metal all around, such attention to detail. I love this truck style.
Beautiful little trucks. Great guy having fun. I Love his cap. I also served in the Stategic Air Command.
This world needs more people like that man. God bless you sir
What a build, so cool. Another awesome video. Thanks man
😇🙌
Sir, Thank you for your Service to SAC, the Air Force and the United States of America.
Just a solid ole boy, this world needs more fellas like him
What a kind man with two beautiful trucks!
Protect this man at all cost
Omg that man is truly a great person and dam I wish I had his little Pete
I’ve seen his first one on I-5 when I drove from Los Angeles to Sacramento in the ‘90’s
These trucks are cute but they look cool, these are the ones that can be used for pulling campers, or pulling smaller size trailers that haul cars. These small trucks can be beneficial for certain jobs.
Wildwood FL, I'm just around the corner from there, 75 Chrome Shop, I-75 and 44 Sumter county. Great area to live.
thanks I took a class back in 74 but didn't get into it I got a state job clerk(professional paper pusher but enjoy watching all of the videos I cant drive now Detached Retna but I love PETE"S I have 2 Pete masks.
I love my corvettes but always dreamed of having a Pete. Would love having a lil Pete. He's a good man and you seem like you are also.
Wow, what a labor of love. Super Cool 🤗
Yeah!!!! Great build for sure
The scale is so perfect it's hard to tell how small it is till it's next to the full size truck. Very cool.
Those Lil Pete's are spotless! 🌟
Now that is cool. This is the type of old timer I'd like to meet.
Those L'il Petes are wicked cool! Jerry Sutphin seems plenty cool himself and he has seen both #1 and #2 through to being handsome rigs. When they first came out I seriously considered gettin' one for my daily driver. If my wife and sons had shown the least bit of encouragement I would have had one heh, heh. They like them but they didn't wanna deal with the extra attention something like that brings. Neat video Alex, thanks man!
Love both of them Alex but I'm head over for the Lil Pete Number ☝😍
This was a treat bro
Hotrod builder in Carrollton, Tx built a few of these 20 yrs ago, might have been longer than that. Scaled down on a modified GM 1ton chassis. They looked identical to the big trucks. He pulled his 40 fit dirt car trailer with it. My dad worked for to dot and they were titled as big trucks.
Yes because 1 ton (6 tires) is automatically titled as big truck at anywhere in North America. If there 2 axles or more in rear would require special licence.
I spent the first part of my life in the truck. It’s also how I lost my dad when I was a little kid. Unfortunately owning a truck is always been my dream but it’s one that will always be able to reach.
One kind hearted fellow. From a trucker to another. Be safe
Love the trucks. Wish I had one.
Most shows are about the money He is So freaking Special and important for this world because He's all about The KIDS AND THE SMILES 😊😊😊😊😊
He mentioned you saw the truck in Wildwood, He definitely talking about Wildwood, Fl that’s where I’m from. They have a big truck show here every year.
That’s talent right there
Yess definitely agree
MAn like this made this country great, listen an learn. Thanks jerry
His mini trucks is amazing!
So kool I love it ❤️ Thanks for sharing
Ole Jimmy Pete!! Black smoke and turboed up!! These are really cool!
When i hear him say,”its for the kids”, tells me his priorities are on point
What a fantastic fella and his trucks are great to..👍🏻
❤🙌🙏
Just by the sound of it , sounds like a 7.3 if I’m not mistaken
Yesss
When I was your age I use to walk 10 miles to school in the snow up hill both ways…… gotta love these old guys
Those lil big rigs are so awesome i just love them
I want to congratulate you on your Peterbilts I own for 379 and love them I'm looking for one now to restore and keep for myself cuz my dad passed away and I was the last one we had so I would like to get one but if you can give me any information on getting those make one of those little ones I would really appreciate it cuz you done an outstanding job and I take my hat off to you believe me you did an excellent job. Just love is ever be proud be proud of what you did and also you know I'm looking for 12 he's helping children so yeah you're one great man
I like to have one to pull around my fifth wheel camper. Heck I got the Ford 7-3 with the frame and Driveline for a 99 already so I just need the rest of it
Fabricate it out of plywood with a real nice paint job lmao
This gentleman is awesome!
Take care Pete you're a good man
Awesome! Good stuff
Great video I love it this might be my favorite video bro💯
Those are Phe-nominal! Could be a boat ramp hero with a custom goose neck boat trailer and bout a 22' center console on it. I'm only six #'s awayfrom it!
Beautiful work.
What a staggering look of the two near identical trucks next to each other won the matchbox size of the other.
This is amazing !
Appreciate you
This has got to be one of the most badass trucks Ive ever seen
Rhey are amazing i want one ! Thanks for the video
Great video! Such an awesome man I love the trucks.
Yes!! Great guy
Bad Ass. Thank you.. love it.
There an Aussie guy who in states now, builds wild mini trucks. We have guys here in Australia that build old international pick ups to look like a truck with sleeper
Awesome little Pete
If I ever won the lottery
Sounds like a powerstroke in there
Never mind he just said it was a Powerstroke
Yesss lol
Needs a claterpillar or Cummins .
Good ole 7.3l
7.3 bayybay
Wow that’s awesome 😎 pops got it going good 🙏🙌
Wow that’s something else what a guy
George sprowl has been building “georgebuilts” here in Searsmont maine for years.
Classy rigs, very nice work!
I loved that double the price comment. You meant like 10 times the price from the build cost to the sale price
Awesome guy!
Man I love these little ones they are awesome
Man I love Little Pete Wish I had one
I saw one of those pulling out of a Loves in Ina Illinois I think. I could be mistake about where I was but I'm not mistaken about that truck. Really cool.
Guys by next year I’ll have 70K saved up in straight cash. I was gonna wait two more years and pay my truck off completely. Go owner operator. But it’s so much to learn and I plan to study for the next two years.
I should have over 100K+ to pay off a good truck. Do you guys think this is a good idea. I make 75K-85K a year as a linehaul driver now.
Alex I love the videos man. I miss the monthly paystubs from company’s lol.
We will get them out again!!!! Trying to mix up everything lol
If ur planning on going independent and you can get a customer where you live with steady freight going out. Otherwise the money your making now plus the freedom you’ll have then, minus the headache.
don't use all your cash...use the banks money..
you should put a fifth wheel like for an rv, they are smaller than fifth wheels for semis.
Jerry is a great man.
I love this great man its all about the kids and thats so awesome
Sweet! Gotta love it 💞
That's just too cool! Haha looks amazing 👏
its amazing that these are worth more than actual full sized petes.. also they are 7.3 international motors lol nothing to do with ford other than ford bought them for their trucks lol also were in school buses and rvs... so really its a lil pete powered by international lol cheers from canada
So the ford frame, suspension, transmission, axles, and drive train being ford has nothing to do with ford?
What an great man🤗
Got so excited when I heard that 7.3
Good afternoon guys, I like that man and how he thinks, Steve from N.B Canada
Great Job SIR
That's awesome beautiful rig sir
