What is al-Ta‘rīf bi Ghayr ‘Arafah?
It is spending the night of ‘Arafah in the Masājid, worshipping Allāh ﷻ, in places other than ‘Arafah which was 𝗻𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 done by the Prophet ﷺ. So who from Salaf did this?
      𝗦𝗔𝗛𝗔𝗕𝗔
► The first to do it in al-Baṣrah was Ḥabr al-Ummah and Turjumān al-Qur’ān, Sayyidunā ‘Abdullāh Ibn ‘Abbās. [Muṣannaf Ibn Abī Shaybah; 14462]
► The first Ṣaḥābī to do it in al-Kūfa was Mus‘ab Ibn al-Zubayr. [Tārīkh Dimashq; 58/228]
► Another Ṣaḥābī, ‘Amr Ibn Ḥurayth, used to hold a Khutbah and people would gather around him. [Muṣannaf Ibn Abī Shaybah; 14463]
      𝗧𝗔𝗕𝗜’𝗜𝗡
► Al-Ḥasan al-Baṣrī used to sit after ‘Aṣr to pray and do Dhikr, then people would gather around him. [al-Sunan al-Kubrā; 9476]
► Sa‘īd Ibn al-Musayyib used to sit after ‘Aṣr facing al-Shām until the sun set. [Muṣannaf Ibn Abī Shaybah; 14465]
► Muḥammad Ibn Sīrīn was asked about gatherings in the Masjid the night of ‘Arafāt, and he said: “I do not see any issue with it.” He also said: “We do not prohibit what is done in the night of ‘Arafah.” [Muṣannaf Ibn Abī Shaybah; 14467/14475]
► Al-Ḥakam and Ḥammād were asked about it and they said: “It is Muḥdath.” Calling it Muḥdath (innovated) is not necessarily prohibiting it, because not everything Muḥdath is rejected. It is possible they are only describing it. However, some like Ibrāhīm al-Nakha‘ī said: “Ta‘rīf is only in Makkah.” [Muṣannaf Ibn Abī Shaybah; 14469/14470/14474]
► This was echoed by Ibn al-Ḥanafiyyah. [Muṣannaf Ibn Abī Shaybah; 14473]
► Al-Imām al-Mubajjal Aḥmad Ibn Ḥanbal said: “There is NO issue with Ta‘rīf the night of ‘Arafah, for it is just Du‘ā and Dhikr of Allāh. The first to do so was Ibn ‘Abbās and ‘Amr Ibn Ḥurayth.“ [Tabaqāt al-Ḥanābila; 1/39]
► Yaḥyā Ibn Ma‘īn used to gather in the Masjid the night of ‘Arafah. [Tabaqāt al-Ḥanābila; 1/414]
What is the difference between making the night of ‘Arafah an occasion for increased worship, and making the night of the Mawlid un-Nabī ﷺ an occasion for increased worship?
      - 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲.
But do you know how the Wahhābīs addressed this issue? Their leading scholar Ibn ‘Uthaymīn directly responds to Aḥmad Ibn Ḥanbal: “What is correct: Is that there IS an issue with it, and it is an innovation.” [Al-Sharḥ al-Mumti‘; 5/171] Ibn ‘Uthaymīn claimed it was a Bid‘ah and blameworthy even if it is done by Ṣaḥāba!
Another Wahhābī cleric named al-Barrāk stated: “Ta‘rīf was not done by the Prophet ﷺ, and a Muslim must not do it. And if someone says: ‘Ibn ‘Abbās did so’, we say: ‘But ‘Alī did not, and he is more accurate in verdicts.’” [See the source in the comment section]
Do you see the excuses? Where is the lip service of, “Which of the Ṣaḥāba made a Mawlid"? Even if the Ṣaḥāba did Mawālid, they would still call it a Bid‘ah. Had the Ṣaḥāba made Mawālid, they would say: “The Prophet ﷺ did not do it”, because these Wahhābīs follow their desires. So much for “Salafīs”.
Imagine if a non-Salafī brought the Fatwā of a major Imām of the Salaf (let alone Aḥmad Ibn Ḥanbal) saying there is no issue with something, then responding and saying: “Sorry, you're wrong, there IS an issue and it's a Bid‘ah.” Apparently, Ibn 'Uthaymīn knows more about innovations than Aḥmad Ibn Ḥanbal?
It's time you people reconsider your tiny sect's views and positions. Absurdity such as this can only be accepted by blind-followers. Stop blind-following and wake up!

Could Asrar Rashid also tell his followers that the Brailwis advocate the mawlid celebrations more than any other " group " and it is the Brailwis who misquote the verse 58 of surah Yunus ..
The first mufassir of the Brailwis, Naeemudeen Muradabadi mentions under this verse that " bifadlillahi " means Islam and " birahmatihi " means the Quran and the 2nd opinion he mentions is that " bifadlillahi " means the Quran and " birahmatihi " means the Ahaadeeth..
He mentions the 1st opinion as narrated from H Ibne Abbas , Hasan and Qatadah...
Muradabadi also mentions that by " liyafrahu" it means THE HAPPINESS AND JOY THAT ONE HAS IN THE HEART AFTER RECEIVING A BELOVED AND GOOD THING ( SUCH AS ISLAM , QURAN ETC )...
Muradabadi negates juloos nikaalna , bhngry daalna , jandya lgaana etc...
Brailwis ! Ask your deceptive and deceitful mullahs what the crack is !!!!
