Hi great video! The believe the stap was updated actually, where the padding can be adjusted. Also at the right end of the strap, it's now a buckle so you can easily detach!
Got this bag on discount for about 50€, arrived today and I must say totally worth it, still have to "use it" for the first time. But so far all my belongings, being macbook pro for work and few EDC items fits perfectly. The bag sits well on the back and it's comfy. The only issue I have is the strap, as I put the bag in my right shoulder, the buckle ends up on my back, so I can't use it. It would be nice to have fully detachable strap to change its position. Great video as always! helped me with my final decision on the purchase 😊
I love this bag, I use the bottom clips to secure a compact umbrella which works perfectly. I can get my i12.9” Pad Pro, TomToc Electronics large organizer, notebook and a packable jacket in the main compartment alone. The internal pockets are versatile rather than item specific as you mention. But, then you compare it to the AER Travel Pack 2 which has very item specific organization, pockets also the price difference between this and the AER is like $50 ! I think the carry weight and size are why it’s not specifically a sling so yep, that’s why the strap is how it is I’d say. So, as you say mileage does vary, best compact messenger bag/sling for the price by a mile, both for business and leisure for me anyway.
I Have the same bag and took it to Mauritius and had the same problem,,,was great as a day sling as had a lot of space for water bottles, money, jackets and snacks but struggled with the strap when positioned across my back as padding was on my chest and not on my shoulders.. real shame as was bomb proof for boat trips and beach days ..cheap but lacked the fundamentals of a sling bag..managed to lash a molle water bottle holder to the side straps . honest review as always fella .
You say how easy it is for to get another better laptop sling but as someone who has a 14” laptop for my work PC it is not as easy as you might think. The AER travel is an option but I don’t find the style of that bag to be much better than this one. Although by all reports the materials and strap are better in the AER. Just saying( the size of the laptop makes it tricky to find a sling when you are up over 13”.
@@ThePerfectBag The Wexley looks good as well, although the strap seems a bit weird. There doesn't look like there is any padding where the strap would actually sit on your shoulder. That could be a problem for a bag loaded out with a 15" laptop and my large iPad pro.
I own a 14.6 Inch tablet and I can all agree on what you have disclosed because I've been looking everywhere and i mean EVERYWHERE for the perfect bag/sling to house my 14.6 along with my switch and steam deck but alas the perfect bag doesn't exsist
Thank you for the honest review💯👍🏻Currently comparing the sizes and great to know that someone also noticed the strap. I love everything about it except the strap especially the type of connection used. In actual it might snap off, I do own Tomtoc bags and they’re awesome. Thank you Again! 👍🏻💯
Do you think it would be possible to pull the straps to make it something like a luggage handle pass-through? I'm eyeing for this edc bag bc it don't look like a typical laptop bag, but I also want it to put on top of the luggage in case my shoulders get tired of the weight.
Hi! Could you share the specific brand and model of the laptop you demonstrated with the bag? I'd like to check the dimensions of it to see if mine can fit in the bag as well. Thank you!
Hello Wanderer! Perhaps you can help me to understand one thing about the Tomtoc slings... I watched this video of yours earlier today, and see that this "sling" is setup like a Messenger bag, at least with the handle on the side rather than on the top... Later this evening I watched your other video comparing the 7L and the new updated 9L version of the EDC sling from Tomtoc but with the shoulder strap centered in the middle and the bag having a top handle carry. What would you say is your preferred version of the two larger sized bags? I am trying to move towards a sling setup to carry my Surface Pro 7, accessories, and room for a packed lunch and other small items I might need during my occasional days at the office, coffee shop, etc. Appreciate any insight you might have! Cheers!
What are the other sling bags that you think are better than this one? I tried looking up the brands you said but couldn't find a sling that fits a laptop
That's it?..... Lack of color and the strap? Isnt that abit nit picking, when you take into consideration of the overall quality and the space you get?...
Looking at this like a messenger bag do you think i can carry both a macbook pro 14 inch along with my a6700 in this bag? or would the timbuk2 be better?
Which TimBuk2 are you talking about? Just so I'm sure I can make the right recommendation. I think what you described would fit in this bag...although I don't own an a6700
@@ThePerfectBag The classic messenger in their “small” size is the one that piqued my interest! Also any dslr or mirrorless camera should be indicative of the sizing of mine (or roughly an xbox or ps controller with a bit more depth) I appreciate the attention to detail!

Glad you love it!!!! It is a good one - thx for sharing your experience with it
Those two side straps: I use them as a dirty of “MOLLE” to attach any myriad of PALS pouches or camera bags for pocket cameras .
Another great review - saved me a few dollars thanks man
I have the medium size and love it but will upgrade to this one !
I'm about to upload a comparison between all three sizes :)

True - but there are options! Here's my current favorite for a larger laptop: wexley.com/products/finley-slingpack-cordura%C2%AE-ballistic-nylon
And yes - Aer is good too!

Any place to put a couple of fine pens?? Love the video!!!
Oh easily. But if they are nice pens I would toss in a pen case - something like Rickshaw Bags does

my plan was putting a fidlock to replace the buckle
Tomtoc should really have a white ver for every size, its the color that always catches my eye haha

I don’t think that it would get tight enough to do that.
Which is better, this bag or the tomtoc crossbody bag?
How much do you carry daily?
You should shoot b-rolls of up close shots of what you're talking about. People want to see what you're describing.
Check out my more recent videos :). Thanks for the tip!

Have you checked the Aer Travel Sling 2?
First! Awesome review bro

Definitely the 9L one on the other video you watched - it’s much better.
I have an entire sling bag playlist if you want to go down the rabbit hole completely

Try the Cotopaxi chasqui, the Metromonger from Greenroom (only small laptops, the Aer Travel Sling, and look at used incase laptop slings
Boundary Errant sling too - almost forgot. And orbit gear has laptop slings
North face base camp too

Here are the dimensions: A laptop pocket (12.31" x 9.65" x 1.18")for a 13-14-inch MacBook Air/Pro or 12.9-inch iPad Pro with Keyboard

Side loops = key clip
Sounds jangly
@@ThePerfectBag for a lot of key, I suppose, I just clip a key fob.
Tom Delonge 😂
The bag feels bland and boring - most idiotic comment.
Thanks a bunch for watching
