I purchased this bag mostly because of this review. Have had it a bit over a month and love it. I use it to haul my M1 MacBook Air back and forth to work along with a Bluetooth mouse, earbuds, power brick and cables, backup power bank, usb hub, little leather notebook, spiral notebook, a bunch of pens, etc. When I need to carry docs to a meeting, I have been slipping a few file folders in with no issue. This bag is perfect for me nd I love the size, look, materials, etc. I also purchased a heroclip (mini) to clip my work keys and I’d badge onto….but mine is an aliexpress knockoff (way cheaper). Thanks for a great review.
Thanks for the review, needing a secure sling for a 13" laptop. We're flying to Barcelona and onto Rome. I like the Tomtoc 14-inch Compact EDC Sling better but the fit doesn't work.🍀
I really like these compact slings, but it seems that a macbook, iPad, and some headphones will max it out. Not sure I could fit chargers, and water bottle…etc. for the price it seems to be hard to beat though
I have a very similar, just slightly bigger (a 17" squeezes into it, but super tight and nearly too big for my 16" M1 mac) bag as backpack from "CaseLogic". Not as good sealed but water never came into and it looks "cheap" enough so nobody would expect something very worthy inside.
I have the 7l sling and it’s my favorite. My only complaint is Tomtoc does a lot of black material inside. It’s so dark it can sometimes be hard to find things.
I'm considering purchasing either the 11 inch version of this sling or the a54. My carry is an iPad 9th gen (10.2 inch), small hand lotion, chapstick, hand sanitizer, Miyoo Mini Plus emulator (about the size of an original Gameboy), compact 10k mAh Anker powerbank, Galaxy Buds2, keys, wallet, small notepad, small knife, and flashlight. What do you think would be a better fit for this loadout? Another thing to note is I prefer to carry my sling on my chest/ in front. Rarely put it on my back.
Great video! I got the bag a few days ago but for some reason the buckle in not in the middle but at the base of the strap, making it awkward if you want to carry the bag on the right shoulder. Have they changed the design or?
Do you have enough adjustability on the end of the strap to center it with the buckles? If not, I would reach out to Tomtoc or the Amazon store for a replacement. They have a very good warranty and I haven’t had any issues exchanging things out.
@@alphaartisan If you click on the link you have provided (which is the one I used to purchase it) in the description of the video, you can see how it differs from the bag you have. The buckle is non adjustable so if you carry it over your left shoulder - it sits near the elbow, and if you put the bag over the right shoulder - the buckle sit all the way at the back. I absolutely love the bag, just wish it had the release at the middle of the strap as its on yours and I dont see them offering that as an option, unfortunately..
@Alpha Artisan I ordered the 4 liter tomtoc which is very convenient but couldn't fit a book I was reading also ordered the alpaka tech case mini and already realized I needed more size which brought me to your video .... Good work 👏
Thanks for your review. I got mine yesterday. The bottom two compression straps ares ideal to carry a compact umbrella. Pockets are a bit limiting if you have loads of tech gear so I added the tomtoc organizer pouch too. Awesome combo, thanks again 👍

Thank you for showing the fit for MBP 14"
Edit: 16" was shown to not fit at 9:20 whereas 14" should work well
I have the 16”
@@alphaartisan I mean, thanks for mentioning that my 14" can fit 😁
Great review, thank you!

Depends on the size of the headphones

Yes, and now Tomtoc is using High-viz interiors a lot more.
Just bought mine with the hero clip :) thanks!
It’s one on my favorite bags, enjoy yours!

I'm between the 9L version of the H-02 and the A54, wich one would you say is the best as carrying a 14" laptop for confort and accessibility ?
The H-02 would be a better fit for this. The A54 Isn’t large enough to carry a laptop.
Awesome video! What’s the size of your heroclip?
The hero clip is a size medium
@@alphaartisan Thanks for the response.

Ohh I see yes the clip is only to one side of the bag.
Does it fit if my macbook 14 inch is inside another tomtoc protective sleeve.
Which is more comfortable; this or the explorer?
Depends on that your carrying
I prefer the Explorer for light/ moderate loads
@@alphaartisan thank you for the quick reply.
Your videos are great btw, keep going
I love your take on this bag. What make is your wallet?
Alpaka, they make some nice EDC gear.
Does the steam deck fit in there?
Ys it will fit
how about IBM Thinkpad 14" for the screen only, but the actual size is 15.5", is it fit in this bag?
I don’t believe it will fit into this bag. It would be too large for the laptop pocket
How many sling bags do you personally own and use?
I have about 8 slings that I rotate through depending on what I’m doing but I own a few more that I periodically test for the channel

I was about to push the “buy” button until I found out the 16 in MacBook won’t fit
Messenger bags from guru gear are nice, and alpaka has carry options for 16 inch laptops as well. Do you prefer a messenger bag style?
@@alphaartisan I do prefer the messenger style. I’ll try out the alpaka collection. Thanks for the recommendation 🙂

The samsung tab s9 ultra would fit?
