    I think what you have reviewed here is the Explorer-A54 Crossbody Sling Bag, not the Crossbody EDC Sling Bag. Am I wrong?

    Just got the bag and love it. My only worry is the material if it's durable especially the outer pocket. Not the if it's Cordura like their other bags would you know?

    This is a terrific EDC bag, I have a couple of their laptop cases as well, so trust them when it comes to quality.
    I've got several bags for different uses, but was looking at something a little smaller, though not too small, something just to fit in my essentials; packable jacket, water bottle, powerbank and some snacks and this has been the perfect size for it all.
    I love that they have a bottle holder as well inside the bag, rather than outside, perfect idea for a sling and also won't move around inside the bag either.

    I had this bag, it is very well made and practical, however I could not get used to the super large strap that is sewn in the middle of the bag... If you have heavy stuff in it, it will pull the bag down on your back pretty much all the time. Like someone asked below, yes, that is the A54 that is being reviewed. I decided to go with the H02 model instead, in the 11" / 7 L format. The straps are much more like a typical messenger bag, so you can wear it crossbody but the bag won't sag. I hope this can be helpful to some of you!

    I'm looking for the best shoulder bag to fit the 11-inch iPad Pro M2. Please advise me the most beautiful type as well as the most suitable color for men. May I ask if in the future the 11-inch version will be upgraded to the M3 processor or only for the 12.9-inch version? If I use it for a long time and take it everywhere, should I choose 11 inch or 12.9 inch is the most suitable?............. Sling bag for young

    • @MarlonKingShow
      @MarlonKingShow  Год назад +1

      Heya - for the attachment straps you need to use something like a Carabiner Clip, you can get different sizes, you would need a bigger one to go around that strap, but i have had a water bottle hanging before which works out well if you have packed it out.

    I was cross-shopping this with the Bellroy Sling (7L), and I'm glad I ended up getting the Bellroy, because this looks a lot larger than what I wanted.
    The Bellroy will fit a 10" Android tablet (I use it for my 10.5" Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e), but just _barely._ It won't fit an 11" iPad Pro or 10.2" iPad.
    However, it's also noticeably smaller than the Tomtoc 7L, and collapses even further when only lightly laden, making it more versatile for light carry days.
    The Tomtoc was very tempting, though, because it was 2/3s the price of the Bellroy, so it's definitely a contender if you don't mind the bulk. Downside: the 7L Tomtoc is not available in the handsome Gray that the 4.5L can be had in.

    • @MarlonKingShow
      @MarlonKingShow  Год назад +1

      Its always a tough choice with EDCs i normally use the compact for my daily, but I don't need to carry the big tablet with me every day. Bellroy look like nice bags but haven't tried any, would be interested to know if they are well padded to protect the tech inside as a lot of the time from what I have seen they don't like its very thick material.

    • @Vasharan
      @Vasharan Год назад +1

      @@MarlonKingShow There is padding on the back of the Bellroy Sling 7L, but not on the front. The bag is made of a close-weave nylon called Baida Nylon, seems pretty durable and tough wearing so far, feels like waxed canvas. It does look like the Tomtoc is more padded overall. There is also a Bellroy Sling Venture (which has waterproof zippers), and the Bellroy Sling Lite, which rolls down small for transport. The Bellroys are definitely lacking in internal organization, but this can be a plus, because they can also accommodate bulky items in the main compartment if needed.
      Planning a long trip, and for the airport, the Sling 7L carries my 10.5" Samsung tablet, sony over-ear headphones, power bank, passport, phone and keys, basically everything in a single bag I can take off at the metal detector. Out on the town, it carries a rolled up rain shell, phone gimbal, phone, and wallet. It also flattens down to a pretty slim profile when lightly loaded. The main thing I would change for a v3 (current revision is at v2) is to move the sunglasses compartment from the back wall (where delicate items can get crushed against your back) to the middle or front divider.
      Everyone has different EDC needs, so I appreciate your reviewing options for us viewers, thanks for the video!

      @@Vasharan Thanks for all the info on Bellroy, sounds pretty decent to me. In fairness I think there are some great options out there at the moment quality wise, its just finding the right, design and interior layout that works best for the individual.... which is defo the tough part. I literally watched so may reviews myself before getting my first tomtoc and there wasnt much content on them at the time, so was a bit of a gamble, that worked out well, so its nice to be able to share my experience with the bags.

      Nice review! I use my beloved Timbuk2 Command medium to carry my stuff to work, but I was looking for something more practical and smaller for EDC, running errands, etc. This might be it!
      I used to carry everything I needed in my pant pockets, but in my late 40s, I really to start carrying some reading glasses whenever I leave home… so yup, that 7L Tomtoc sling looks like a must buy!

    Hi! Do you reckon if it can also fit a dslr camera along with an 11 inch tablet?

    • @MarlonKingShow
      @MarlonKingShow  2 месяца назад +1

      Heya, might be pushing it, probably could do if the lens isn't too big. But little room for other things as the bag doesn't stretch out. also not sure on how well padded the screen on tablet would be as it's not designed as a camera bag, there is thin padding, more than just material but not huge to protect from sharp items.
      Hope that helps, if its just on occasion I'm sure it would be okay, but probably not best as a long term solution

    Cool video love this bag review as I have been struggling on my decision on which bag to buy. Could you please include the cons of the bag as well that k you

    • @MarlonKingShow
      @MarlonKingShow  2 года назад +2

      Have you seen my other video on the smaller tomtoc bag yet?
      My cons with the bigger one, are quite simply, its not a rucksack, so it doesn't expand out if you want to put a jumper in there for example, and sadly no water bottle holders on the outside.
      But this bag was designed to look cool, and not expand so you have that fixed size and dont over fill.
      In many ways same with the smaller one, which I generally use as my daily. Both cool, but if I was travelling for more than a day, I would go for a normal rucksack style that had more flexibility.
      Hope that helps? Really down to your individual needs.

    Im a female. This sling size gets a bit too heavy for me to wear as a sling, specially when I have the bad habit of packing it full. Id really have this bag size hanging as a small backpack with two shoulder straps. However, I guess its quite adequate for men.

    • @MarlonKingShow
      @MarlonKingShow  3 месяца назад +1

      Heya, Agree if you fill it to the max it can get heavy on one shoulder. Equally I would have loved an outer bottle holder. By the same token, the main difference between this and a rucksack is the two straps. So this is probably considered one of the bigger sling bags you would get. Still think it looks smart though. If you have any alternative recommendations please let me know 🙏🏻

      Depends on what you need to take. I use the smaller one on my day to day. As in, nip to shops, to a friends, to the pub etc. I use the 11 for day trips, pack camera, need bigger tablet, or more stuff with me. So, I use the compact more.
