This was a helpful vid! I once heard someone talk about it like salad. You can buy three different kinds of bulk lettuces, wash, dry and chop them up for $2. OR you can buy the prewashed salad packs for $6 and we all know how popular those are! People love the packaged, prewashed and assembled stuff in all areas of life! :)
Amen! This is EXACTLY why I just signed up for B-School! Cannot wait to get 8 weeks of Marie and team rather than waiting for Tuesday morning to roll around for a Marie TV upload. Sooo ready to get to work!
Marie.. I love you. I went from 0 motivation to 100% again.. Total lifesaver. I do recommend everyone who's looking at this video to indeed go and DO B-school.. It's amazing!!!!
I totally agree you pay for a person, a community and the ease of service - I use free recipes all the time but I am with Marie - I sure love getting my hands on recipe books too!
I have to remind myself of the "just because others are doing something similar doesn't mean mine p.o.v. doesn't matter" fact all the time. Thanks for reminding me - I needed that!
Hi Marie, OMG this video is everything! While I love hearing that people get great results from my weekly RUclips videos, I of course go so much deeper when working with clients 1 on 1 or in group programs and sometimes it is challenging to translate the value and RESULT that can happen with a paid program vs free info. And my big (sort of dumb) aha about this is, YOU also give amazing free content each week, AND have the paid BSchool program, which of course I am an alumni:) Thank you for all that you do! xx
Love this answer. I know I will struggle this when I start my business, but I also know what you said plays out in my own life. I definitely buy things from the bloggers I follow because I want to pay them back for all the free value they've provided to me.
Hi Marie,Since recently I've been watching your free tv channel on internet! The thing is that although, there is numerous number of possibilities there,I just keep on coming back to your site,to watch and listen to You! As you have already stated,I can find everything organized, very informative and appealing, that only opens my appetite for more!In that case I turn to the subject/guest that was presented by/with You, for further investigation! In some cases ,questions were answered so promptly and/or accurately ,almost immediately after I have asked it to myself!I am still stunned! By the way Your Appearance is impeccable, too! Your crisp, concise and/or direct expression ,don't leave any place for doubt and/or guess! All of the above in pure simplicity and without expensive/greedy tv machinery !?Motivates me to start thinking about my own.....!? Congratulations, your channel is booked by me!
Thank you Sonia for you question and thanks for your Answer Marie! I am going to out this video on the top of my list to watch everytime I ask the same question for my business program. So so so many wonderful points and wonderful motivation to keep moving along! Thanks ladies!
someone below mentioned watching YT vids to fix things and that's been my life as mom, finding info online to learn how to do motherhood. But there is a time when you need someone guiding you or to have a Q&A. I buy because I feel there is more intense, direct info than the random notes here and there. vids are usually short, blogs are just as short but having an e-course or a book or a phone consultation is worth its money. That's why I'm doing more because there are others like me who need more than a snapshot. They need a friend and a guide.
Great Vid, I teach photography classes and there are THOUSANDS UPON THOUSANDS of photography videos. I found that people want the one on one interaction, they can have all of their question answered right away, they can put into practice what they have learned and if something goes wrong I tell them what they did wrong, a screen can't do that. They are willing to pay for that and I have even had students "chip in", that's cool. I STILL pay for photography classes and I'm a teacher lol...because I want that human one on one interaction. RUclips is very cool and all but nothing like personal knowledge coming from a live person. People will pay if they can get something out of it.
I knew a guy that was a landlord, and he'd watch youtube videos to figure out how to fix most anything wrong with his properties... until he found something a little too big for him to handle by himself. That's when he hired a professional. There are always people that will do it on the cheap - often because they feel like they don't have a choice. But then, those aren't your perfect-fit customers anyway!
Oh my gosh Marie, I felt like you were talking to me in this video. I had already made the decision to join B-School so I'll be joining before the enrollment closes and I'm so excited. This really resonated with me because I also have a health and wellness site and wondered the same as Sonia. Now I realize that you are so right. I'd rather pay someone I trust, or someone I have built some sort of relationship with than find a bunch of random stuff on line. I'm launching a Cleansing Life Program - it's a gentle, whole food, detoxification program in a few days. This makes me feel valid for all months-almost years- of work I've put into this plan. Thank you! As for anything I've bought on line even though I could get the info for free - the Plant Based Nutrition Certification from the T. Colin Campbell Institute and Cornell University. And the next thing will be B School!
Absolutely! Yes, there's a TON of information available for free online, but it's all over the place. About the only people with the patience to do all that digging and rearranging are authors and entrepreneurs. The way I see it, someone else did all the work I wasn't willing to do. Why would I expect them to just hand that over to me for nothing? I write articles for clients all the time and they're willing to pay me because I'm doing all the work for them. Same thing goes for a book. If I write one and took all that research time off everyone else's hands, I'm gonna package that info and sell it to them. If they don't want to pay for it, they can go out and look for it the way I did.
oh! liked so much this video! my name is Sonia too and I am also a Naturopath and I ALSO asked myself all these questioooonnnnnssssss and felt ALL these fears many times.. :D (I am from Spain though...jeje)
Such an inspiring video! I adore your personality and brains and that is why I will always support your work. I go to B-school rather than drowning myself in the sea of free information. Free doesn’t deal with details, it’s time-consuming and not much fun. I shall get out of my shell and share more of my offerings- with the right price-tag! :)
Credibility is a huge point! Genuine connections are personal and don't exist in a free download. And although we may search the Internet for various information, that download doesn't equal the value and quality of expert services and products; it's just a sample teaser from the smorgasbord....
I joined The Copy Cure and will join BSchool because I need the accountability and because it takes up so much energy to look through all the stuff online, determine what's worthwhile and what's not and put it all together. It's like creating your own course online. Thats cool if you have that kind of analytical mind I guess, but I'd rather pay for it and let specialists do that work for me :)
MusicLuv 2 U and ALL the Winners that follow and adhere to Great content. This is so helpful to the music course I'm putting together.I'll keep you abreast of my progress. The SC
Ah.. thanks for this Marie! I'm a teacher and I've been thinking for soooo long about this but haven't taken a step. I have loads of useful material everywhere in my flat and I've been planning to organize it into nice course packages for quite a while now ( i know I could make something genious out of this) but I always end up procrastinating because I see that huuuge pile of papers and books and don't even know where to start. I think it might be better to make this into a project for this year instead of planning to do everything in like a weekend or so.. this way it's more likely that it will happen. Thanks for motivating me yet again :D
awesome, I wish I had run into this vid, those objections are what I recently received in my course and I will do my best to share this new perspective for anyone who would say the same :)
I once bought an ebook from someone who had all the same info on her blog. She'd just taken blog posts directly from the blog and put them in her ebook. I felt really disappointed and had. Despite the info being somewhat scattered throughout the blog, I felt that regurgitating already free info into something paid was a rip off.
Now THAT is a good analogy.
I love this analogy 🔥

This is so right on point that it feels like I should already know it by now. Great to have it all so easily broken down.
completely agree with ya Marie..."Being there in the real world always is better than Being Virtual " :)

I've enjoyed these wonderful shows for some time now, but this one was a gleaming, glistening gem!!! Thank you Marie!!
Thank you Sonia for you question and thanks for your Answer Marie! I am going to out this video on the top of my list to watch everytime I ask the same question for my business program. So so so many wonderful points and wonderful motivation to keep moving along! Thanks ladies!
Love this topic, I've been wondering the same about creating my own online course. Thank you Marie for another great video!

I struggle with this topic myself and sp found this episode extremely helpful. Thanks Marie! See you in B-school:-).
So true. If people weren't buying products and services, we wouldn't have successful entrepreneurs right Kris Carr or Chef Chloe. Awesome advice!
Marie you are so inspirational. And this dress is perfect. Stay young!
This video could not have come at a better time for me. Thank you so much for your insight!

I sooooo needed to the hear this now as I launch my new business, thank you Marie!!!
Awsome piece of advice Mary. Very helpul as I am setting up my own marketing training. Your insights are both inspiring and entertaining... Congrats
Marie, you are so freakin' cool. There were SUCH great points made in this video. Bravo, once again.

Awesome video Marie :) I think a lot of people can relate to this
question in so many ways. Thanks for sharing your valuable
advice.
This was so incredibly helpful! Even 5 years later!! #bschool
YAY! Thank you for being in our B-School family. We love you. - Team Forleo
Great information! and you are certainly right about that personality thing; your personality make me want to listen to you more
Thanks, Marie, for your entertaining and informative video.
Love this! Very helpful, hopeful, useful info! Thank you, Marie!
Loved this one. Studying communication design (graphic design), I always wonder if, when I begin work, people will choose the Internet over me.
Marie looking really good in this episode!
Really great and useful consumer insights. Thank you for sharing!
Great Advice. Thanks Marie.

Bought Gary Vee's book Jab, Jab, Jab, Right Hook.
Loved it!
I look at it as, if the maker of the Snuggie made nearly $200M, you can sell anything.
I really need this advice. Thanks, Marie!! I'm definitely signing up for B-School!
This is AWESOME! Iwas just talking about this to someone, right on time as always. :-)
I really like you great insights and advice...great stuff!!!
