- Check out Tiana the Tahitian vahine drummer as she takes you through some of the beats to get your hips shakin'!
Like every Pacific dance form, the Tahitian drum is the heartbeat of heiva (Tahitian dance). With it's distinct patterns and toe tapping speed, this is one drum beat you'll love to dance to!

Love her been watching her for years 🙌🏾🔥inspiring 💛💜
So cool! I love Tahitian drumming. And kudos to you for being one of the rare wahine to drum!!
I'm from the Cook Islands, and I've always enjoyed drumming growing up. Especially at school, when the boys and I would just sometimes drum during lunch time..But I find tahitian druming strange and interesting at the same time..its cool asssssss....👌👌
Tiana is the best of the best! Aloooha you Tiana! GB!

how is it that that these Tahitian women dancers are SOOO BEAUTIFUL??
You rock Tiana!
That is amazing I do Tahitian drumming as well. But I am a little rusty. I wouldn't mind coming back again to learn.
It's been a year and I've finally figured out the drum beat was something called the "Whirling Wind"(Pate Mat Ai) which has it's origins in Bora Bora and it is such a cool beat. I am surprised someone else hasn't responded? I wanted to share it with you all and here is a link: ruclips.net/video/3goMocK9tgI/видео.html Put it on "Loop" and listen to it for hours. Cool !
You get dat gurl!!
Nice sticking Sista!
Tiana is badass
awesome!!
Anyone know if there’s an online directory of all the type beats there are for toere? I learned some from past teachers but I couldn’t remember a bulk of them and would love to refresh and document for future reference☆彡
Awesome drumming and beautiful women and culture
Stuff I used to make my own Toere:
Plastic bottle
Pencils for drumsticks
😂
Wow this is so similar to a log drum

talofa and aloha from Hawaii
Sefa!!!
U fallahs need some drumming lessons from the cook islanders girl
Oh please. The inferior compelx of the Kuki Airani towards their Maohi cousins is pathetic. They don't even know who you are or that you exists lol. Kukis always claiming they started everything, yet you came from Tahiti Nui E, and their culture is older than yours. They came 1st.
Talofa and iaorana from Florida
Woodglut plans are amazing!
