I Was tahitian dancer for five years I from Ecuador and that dance is my life, now I have 45 years old and yet practice in my house is my passion and I hope to visit and to know Hawaii and Tahiti.
❤ I danced for 18 years contemporary and traditional Dances of Micronesia & Polynesia. Still practice by myself as I'm on the Mainland now. I love this. The excitement, & Alluringly captavating beat of the drums brings back unforgettable best times of my life. The magic never dies. The feeling lives forever. Thank you. Adding to my favs list. 3:04
Been there! I was 19 years old!! Fell in love with a French man from Corsicana on leave in 1968!! I am now .74 years old. Best memory of my life!’ Sending love- to Antoine Albertini!! If he sees this!
ive danced Tahitian many many times and i have performed sooo much .. but when my drummers are unavailable I use this and can i say it helps me alot~ this is coming from a teenage girl from hawaii.. i think i like dancing Tahitian and hula rather than twerking :)
Mylene BellyDancer You should! As a Bellydancer some of the basic movements will come very easy to you. But remember, while Belly dancing and Tahitian dance is very similar they are very different in many ways.
The first drumbeat is a NZ based band TeVaka...they were the inspiration behind some of the musical score for Moana with Dwayne Johnson..TeVakas drummers were tutored by a Cook islands drum master..this beat on this vid is Cook islands and Tahitian
Lo más cercano que he estado a ésta cultura es lo que pude ver en el Polynesian Center en Hawaii y desde entonces quedé enamorado de su música y sus bailes. Todo es maravilloso.
supermaroch also, you can do different combinations with these beats. you can go slow if needed. usually people go slow to match the beats, but i sometimes slow down. if you start practicing you'll get used to it.
Your hips aren't supposed to hurt while dancing Tahitian, it's your legs. I know this because I've been dancing Tahitian for 2 weeks in my school Poly Club, if your hips hurt, you're either over-doing it or going way too fast. You need to start out slow with basic hip movements (search up how to dance Tahitian) and as soon as you get the hang of it, you go to a fast pace. You can't just become a master of Tahitian dancing in a day, it takes a really long time, even years to get on the master level. Hope this helped!
Paradise Vlogger Lol. I am Tahitian and I most certainly do not know how to dance to these beats. I love my people, and my culture. Even so I would rather watch experts do that than doing it myself.
You seen me qsam ? Yes ! Yr ur damn good we wanna play for you ! ? Ok ! Sweet king rd will set that up ok ok ! It's in the hospital ! Oh ok ! Free we will pay u !! Pay please ok how much ok : $999999 ok . Ok cool that's fun ! Congrats on royal son thanks ! 😁

Fantastic! I'm happy you enjoy dance as much as I do. Enjoy!

Beautiful story thank you ❤
Love the drumming....I can almost picture a group or even a solo artist dancing to the beats...Aloha and Mahalo from Hawaii
No drumming anywhere on this planet comes close to the incredible drumming from Tahiti.
Cook Island drumming is unanimously regarded as the best in the world.
Yeah im Maori from Aotearoa, and Cook Islanders are regarded as the best in the pacific at drumming and string instrumemts.
I'll always be in love with tahitian and hawaiian music...
This is so kick ass. I love this. Must have listened a dozen times.
I don't dance Tahitian anymore but I like dancing as part of my workout routine. Great one to add to my list!
Fantastic!!!!
Why? U should get back in it
ive danced Tahitian many many times and i have performed sooo much .. but when my drummers are unavailable I use this and can i say it helps me alot~ this is coming from a teenage girl from hawaii.. i think i like dancing Tahitian and hula rather than twerking :)
Because Tahitian dancing is art, twerking is vulgar

Fast pace drumming while dancing, Awesome!!!
More of this drum team please😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Wonderful music. As an islander, I love watching Polynesian dances.
As a non-islander/non-polynesian, I too love watching Polynesian dances.
Polynesian dance touches people on all continents...how cool is that!!!
As a non-islander/non-Polynesian and as a belly dancer, I too so love watching Polynesian dances ;) I plan to dance these music someday :)

Can hardly keep still. Off the rails!!!!!
I'm sorry join your "aloha" page?? WTF does "aloha" have to do with Tahiti?? PS: This ISN"T Tahitian drumming, this is LAME. Must be Hawaiian!
With the spirit of Aloha, we share music of all Polynesian islands that have had a profound impact on the culture.
@@alohaallure No you do not. You pass ERRORS as fact. Like I said, your few secs intro is NOT from Tahiti.Educate yourself!
@@irened. Its not Hawaiian at all.
not Hawaiian
+D.K.R D.K.R - you are right - it is not Hawaiian - thus the title :)
+alohaallure LOLOLOL!!! Awesome reply!!! "Thus the title!" Some people...
