I am doing now a job of logs in Black River,i will bring 3 medium logs to the deposit and farm with CAT 745G and i will prepare Pacific P16 for long logs to carry to the deposit. I need to know if it's capable offroad without AWD because i want to make it my long log work truck,if it's not i go with Azov 64131 or White Western Star. Later i have worse places to take logs like quarry in Smithville,a nasty trap.😅
Basically, it's a monster. I got the free one and never looked back. It's a beast as long as you can handle it, it's my go to for all the heavy high saddle mission trailers cause it will pull them all without hesitation or trouble. I wish it would get what the GMC did and get a AWD upgrade, but it would instantly become the most powerful heavy hauler in the game, but I can hope.
It truly is in my opinion the only truck without AWD to thrive in the game. If it did get AWD... It would be on ZiKZ level of performance or better. Such a monster of a truck!
Honestly, upgraded with the top engine it has so much power and so much grip with those tired that it doesn't need AWD. It just pushes through everything in its way like it's not even there.
I drove mine immediately after finding through a river bed and mud it was like a basic road and then so hauled a maintenance trailer across a map through everything and it just hmmmd shifted gears when needed and never got stuck. The weight is a huge plus and the engine before upgrading was beast then it was Godzilla and it makes up for everything that would make you skeptical seriously drive Godzilla.
I overlooked it too on my first play through but did not sell it. Learned its worth in Alaska when I took it out of storage in desperation. It was the only truck in my fleet that could haul the construction drill rig trailer through the mud field on the way out of the service site in North Port. Even when it seems to be sunk and stuck, it suddenly finds grip.
Yup, it is insanely powerful, i just got it, and i've only used it for one logging contract, but managed to get 4 medium logs from island lake to drummond island in only 2 trips, it feels nice hauling two trailers at once and actually moving forward. Don't mention turns tho, i prefer to forget those
Even upgraded its struggling, had the 8x super heavy trailer loaded and clean asphalt uphill, just no wheel spin nothing, just growling engine. Had to tow every time with the articulated CAT, rebuilding paper factory.
p16 holds a special place in my heart for singlehandedly destroying every kola map like it was nothing. seriously more people need to at least try it out. it doesnt have awd, but thats because it doesnt need it.
@@NProvince chat helped a bit but it was in a hell of a spot. Another pro I think is its surprising low fuel consumption and large tank. You'd think it would drink the fuel but it's fairly efficient. I guess that's cause it's so slow lol
@@chronokel11 I absolutely agree! Looking back now that you mentioned it, Thats a huge pro that I overlooked. It seems like some vehicles with the Advanced special have decent consumption. My wishlist tho is an AWD for it tho lol
The only way I could flip mine back over after it slid off a low wooden bridge was to wedge my Paystar against various trees to maneuver it away from the bridge and finally flip it back up.
Right On! The mighty P. It’s cool that you decided to give this truck a review. Although I disagree as to the number 1 upside, the best thing and the number 1 upside is the horn. LMAO🤣. That horn has medicinal properties.🤘😬🤘
I stand corrected #1 should be the horn for sure! Ya I wasn’t the smartest player when I first started but thankfully this game has high replay value :)
Good review as always. A truck that maybe has gone under the radar of a lot of people. But as soon as i saw it with that wide frame i said this is the perfect truck to tow and never look back cuz it will not flip.
Thank you! You’re right, it is hard to tip, and it’s just a good vehicle, but lacking AWD doesn’t make it appealing to the masses, but it does a good job with what it has for sure :) I actually completed the last mission of Season 8 with it on Stream and it didn’t break a sweat :)
Love the p16, always a go to when I need to pull something heavy through rough terrain, with the tires, it seems like it will go through most things, albeit slowly but consistently :)
First off thank you for your service as we celebrate July 4th. I have let you talk me into trying this truck again and I have to say I am impressed. I like you overlooked it. Question however I believe this and the p12 have the same engine why does the p12 seem so much weaker. I know tires are different but it seems almost night and day difference. Keep up the good work we all appreciate you and your reviews.
Oh man thank you so much! I definitely overlooked this due to lacking AWD. So to answer your question; The P12 does have the same engine and similar weight and very true it does feel weaker, but this is because the P16 lacking AWD forces all its power to those rear axles 100% of the time, while the P12 is spreading its power across 6 axles. I do think the P16 also feels good with those tires as well. Thank you so much again for this comment!
Just found this monster last night omg its like driving a house on wheels lol it compliments good patient drivers like me and the power and stability are scary. I drove it right away after finding it i couldn't wait and yes its slow and bulky but hey its supposed to be its made for huge hauls with huge trailers it will make you a better driver if you're not already and you'll love it.
Pro#7: highest saddle in the game, tied with Kolob 74760. Other trucks often have issues with the Superheavy Semi-Trailer high centering on crests, or get caught on roots. P16 and 74760 ride it high enough to get over most of those.
I think the BOAR has the 2nd highest saddle the last time I took a look. I believe the new Derry will be able the same height at the Kolobs which would be nice as well
The Derry longhorn that you rescue out of the creek in Alaska is a pretty strong truck. It has awd. Its a heavy hauler like the p16. The turning radius also sucks. Plus it has way more add on options.
i can't believe that you sold this for cash haha 😂 that is like a huge power spike early game not to mention its iconic truck even if you dont know alot about trucks... anyway it's really fun lookin back on your old vidoes 👍

You sold it on your first playthrough? Huh... And here I thought keeping and testing every truck would've been the obvious choice. Heh, different playstyles.
So if you did not know my first playthrough was 2 years ago. When everyone was yelling Voron, Tayga, Azov.. I fell into that trap. After I finished the Yukon my game file corrupted. After starting a fresh playthrough that’s when I started the channel, testing, and diving deeper into trucks
@@NProvince Ah. Yeah, that makes sense. Personally, on my first attempt, I decided to scout every territory and find all hidden trucks when I realized they existed. I tell you, trying to go some of the DLC maps with low level and thus few upgrades was a freaking NIGHTMARE.
Really now? I just had the biggest disappointment of this truck after getting it. Steering this trucks is extremely laggy. I mean, I would expect that, considering it's a heavy truck. But it doesn't feel "heavy" to me but rather "soapy", if that makes sense. Feels like you're steering a sledge, not a truck with wheels, seems to me that despite the motor is in the front, even without cargo, the weight balance is off, even if that's good for mud on a RWD-only truck. However, the frustration was not caused by that, but bring long logs to the quarry in Smithville Dam and you'll see. I could deliver the logs, but apparently there's no way to get it out of there anymore, it got stuck on every exit. Now there's another 14k Trailer laying around somewhere. xD Anyway, why does that thing cost 14k anyway? I mean compared to the other trailers that are massive and cost like half of that.
So a few things. Its so wide and it does seem front heavy. Being wide and not having AWD hurts its steering because its front axles cant pull it through turns making gettin into those logging places in Smithville pretty rough. Weight on rear wheels does help to drive grip. Oh yes, those logging trailers cost a ton, but you can sell them back for the same amount of money. I definitely can see how it can get frustrating to drive because its so big and clunky. Are you just starting Michigan?
I really wish it had AWD. It's supposed to the "ultimate logger" but even the International HX puts it to shame hauling long logs You say "P16", I say "P sa crap"

Wish I had found this video sooner. The Pacific 16 has a load ratting of 510 tons or 300,000 pounds. It is a massive beast.
That’s amazing. I’ve see a person stand next to one and it looks like a behemoth
It's 150 ton, not 510 ton. Still a huge amount of weight.
Yeah but the most you’ll see in game is 70 tons up to maybe 100 with the heaviest truck and trailer combined.
Basically, it's a monster. I got the free one and never looked back.
