OTHER people can truly SUCK this way. There is a fine line between what THEY view as "consideration", when in reality, it is really only the ugly face of CONTROL, in its many despicable forms!
I think he just meant that insurance could apply- I had two breast reductions (still had to pay my normal surgery copays ect) but covered by insurance- yet same reason but more of a masculine outcome? Could have saved everyone some time and money. I definitely NEEDED to remove them 30F to 30B … but we could also have ended up with the results I really wanted.
Thanks for being real and sharing your transition realities with us... I feel like not enough people talk about the behind the scenes hard truths about depression, disappointments, expectations, impatients, and all the other feelings and emotions that come with this journey. Besides the happy, happy, "I got top surgery", and "I look so good I'm passing now" type videos, for people like me who hasn't even started T yet and just discovering I'm trans masculine at 41 yrs young, I like to know all the ugly truths so I know what to really expect emotionally once I do start. Thank you for this video It's greatly appreciated! @Sam Switz
I am also older and thinking of transitioning, did you go through with it? I don't know if I can go through all the come and deal with society, family etc.
Transitioning isn't something I fully understand but as much as is possible, I empathise. Viewing your content and subsequently subscribing, I see you're obviously more content within a body that appears masculine than a stereotypical CIS-female body type. Your difficulties and challenges must at times be isolating and oppressive, don't give up. Stay true to yourself, in your heart and mind. The rest follows - it's down to each soul to plot their own way to safe harbour, no-one can navigate for us. Life is often a difficult experience full of unexpected dangers and disappointments. I think if you're fortunate to have a few true friends who are there no matter what, who love you unconditionally - as much as anyone can - in true friendship we're well on our way to living the lives we're meant to live. Everyone's heart desire is different from each other's, if we're lucky enough to find someone to share life's journey and travel with us for a time then that's wonderful. But if we must be alone for a time, then that's okay, too - 'cause alone you have all that time you want to learn about yourself, discover and refine what it is that pleases you. You have the luxury of time that is your own, without a lover there's no-one else to consider and you're at liberty to please yourself. I'm 70-years old this year and so grateful to have lived into the time of social media; it exposes me to a kaleidoscopic array of humanity, fascinating. I think, Sam, I'm privileged to have shared albeit via RUclips your journey and first challenging steps into adulthood and your truth. It's a very exciting world, pregnant with possibilities and I pray your path leads to bliss. In bliss we live it all but ... it can take a long time find where bliss is, stay strong. Be healthy and happy and cultivate a few, close friends. My heartfelt best, from Melbourne, Australia. 😁
Hi Sam thanks a lot. I'm an Italian ftm in transition since 4 months ago and struggling with everything you said. So good to know it's all normal stuff many of us have to go through. Thanks again!
painfully relatable. it’s so easy to look up the physical changes to transition, but i struggle with the social expectations/etiquette to being male. also, you look like Ryan Gosling, very handsome :)
I'm not trans, I have no familiarity with the trans world and am watching this video out of curiosity and because you're just an interesting person. One very interesting point you brought up is about meds. I went through infertility treatments and I felt the exact same way. Very interesting overlap in our worlds! Thanks for your videos. You have such an eloquent way with your words!
Sam, I can't thank you enough for sharing the triumphs and trials of your journey with us. Not only are your videos helpful for those considering or are transitioning they are also important to those of us who are not. I am a CIS gay male, and an ally of trans folk since my first encounter in 1978. I am no stranger to trans issues and even still I have gained so much knowledge from listening to you. In this rather impersonal venue sometimes it seems easier to hear from you than it is to illicit discussion from my trans friends or to have them feel vulnerable enough to volunteer their deeper struggles with me. It would be awesome to mentor if I were ever called upon. I can't begin to walk in your shoes but I can be sympathetic and want nothing but success and happiness for you as you define it and that goes for any other person as well. Bless you.
You are such a beautiful man!! Personally, I don’t think a penis is that important, and this comes from a person who loves the male physique. I could fall in love with you and totally accept you have no penis because your masculine personality and beauty as a person is faaaaaaar more important. It’s like falling in love with a guy who cannot speak, see or who lost an arm, so what?! Your charming personality should overcome anything else. Actually, my only “complaint” about you is why you are not gay!! (aaaaaagh!!!!, almost crying!) 😫 You are so sweet. You conquered many guys’ hearts with your videos, I bet you can try with girls and be successful too! Thanks for your cool stories. Big hug from Houston!
Your hair looks good. The hormones made me lose a lot of hair. I do not have to pay for hormones. I live in Ontario Canada. I only had to pay for the removal for the top surgery it covered most of the cost. It was hard financially taking time off work though.
I love your videos but to answer your question about why most medical insurance companies don't cover treatment, medicine, and surgery is because it isn't deemed medically necessary; it's an elective because in most cases their is nothing medically wrong with the body that is being altered and if their is than it is in most cases not what is being altered. From the insurance standpoint this should be covered just as much as a boob and butt lift or even tattooes.
LOL when I go to the restroom I’m always greeted. When I’m just tryna use the bathroom get out. The groaning thing is true, especially when shittin.. that’s like a whole ass orgasm I’m hearing in the stalls lol
The deep chasms of binary-ism....(sigh)....I truly feel for you, even though my experiences are different, in many ways. Society, in my opinion, has over compartmentalized gender to the nth degree, to where it is very much like wading through a vast, dense forest with no modern technology! ... truly primitive! I am following you and wishing you the best of peace...in this morass that society has inexorably manufactured!
Your gender identity (who you identify as), gender expression (boys dont have to dress like boys and girls dont have to dress like girls), and sexuality (who you are attracted to) are all different, and they have nothing to do with each other.
You are a handsome and loveable person from what I observe from your video. Body dysmorphia is common for non- transgender people, too. When you start getting down on yourself try visually (think in cartoons if you have to) crush the negative thought (drop a piano on it) and replace it with a happy thought. Think of a memory where you felt Awesome. It is awkward to do at first but with a sense of humor and imagination it gets to be kind of fun. It's how I stay sane. Remember this is your personal journey and other people's opinions aren't as important to you as your own. Fuck this sex shaming culture we live in. You don't have to opt into it. There are plenty of people in the world who have your back! If they aren't supportive, leave them be and seek beneficial friends. Practice self love kiddo. If you tell people you are awesome they will believe what you say. Hugs and kisses! You're helping people with your videos. Give yourself credit for that.
Studies seem to suggest that estrogen aids women in fighting heart diseases and also allows women to live an average of 3-5 years longer then men, you don’t mind taking testosterone and possibly shorten your life span?
Gender/ body Dysphoria is the biggest con, getting bullied, losing family members, was my biggest cons
Yea those are definitely horrible. I agree. I’m sorry you went through that :(
OTHER people can truly SUCK this way. There is a fine line between what THEY view as "consideration", when in reality, it is really only the ugly face of CONTROL, in its many despicable forms!
@@taramoonshadow9473 Woah you're 100% correct
I lost my stepfather in my transitioning process. Came out 2 years ago and experiencing this firsthand.
you don't know how inspiring you are to other people. so keep your head high my boy. And thank you for such an honest video. All will be perfect soon.
riki saini aww thank you so much ❤️
Very inspiring. I can't wait to get my tits lopped off, get started on T, and get a packer.
I agree with the insurance thing but also people have to pay for other surgeries they need to survive; hell it costs money to be born:(

I feel like you are inside of my head. Lol Great video.
😂😂😂thanks my dude!
I’m in British Columbia Canada, it’s covered here. All of it! As it should be. And I’m very thankful for that.
painfully relatable. it’s so easy to look up the physical changes to transition, but i struggle with the social expectations/etiquette to being male. also, you look like Ryan Gosling, very handsome :)

You look 100% CIS gender hot 🔥 man. And cute & smart. Seriously!
Look better than many other men.
This video made me laugh 🤣. As a CIS man I can relate to the grunting after a good pee….idk why we do it but it feels good to pee 🤷🏾♂️.

Where is that beautiful Intro Music? I Want that as a ringtone for my phone! Du-du-du-du. :-)
Thank you for being real
Thank you for sharing this...you are speaking real facts

Ooo how fun, great idea. What do you want to know about it?? I’ll try to make one ASAP, I love talking about facial hair hehe
Sam Switz how long it take to grow out. Any tips? Progress pics. Did u use minoxidil?
You are very handsome with a kind open heart.
LOL when I go to the restroom I’m always greeted. When I’m just tryna use the bathroom get out. The groaning thing is true, especially when shittin.. that’s like a whole ass orgasm I’m hearing in the stalls lol
Love ya dude.
All medical benefits should be a right for citizens.
Why only citizens?
Herrick Inman I don’t think he was being literal about the citizens 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️
great video king!
Thank youuuu!
I’m four years late but you look like Ryan gosling
It is sooooo true

Good Lord, you're handsome. (I'm sorry. I just had to say that.)
🥰
I want to take T but I can afford it
Are body dysphoria and sexuality the same thing?
Your gender identity (who you identify as), gender expression (boys dont have to dress like boys and girls dont have to dress like girls), and sexuality (who you are attracted to) are all different, and they have nothing to do with each other.
Some trans people are gay, some a straight, just like cis people

Yesss, love love love all of that. Thank you so much my friend, it means the world ❤️

Would far rather have a 10% chance of my life decreasing by like a month than keep barely living
