Do the same thing with werewolves so your opponents have to sit and watch you transform each one by opening every individual case, unsleeving them, flipping them over, resleeving them and putting them back into the cases.
1:07 - "Now, you may be wondering... why... why?" I like how you correctly identify that I'm wondering why you have a Sorrow's Path in your deck and not why you have your deck in hard cases.
How to make it bigger: 1. Buy all the oversized (commander) cards 2. Play The Ur-Dragon for access to all of them 3: Buy oversized top loaders 4. Buy oversized stands 5. Enjoy Seriously though great video!
This was great. I saw top loaders before, because I watched CEDH stuff and those cards tend to be... Needing that kind of protection. But this is a whole new level. It'd be like grading your commander deck and playing it.
@@SamHuggins it looked like they would've been, i bought a few cgc graded cards at a vintage toy showcase and i was surprised at how thin graded cards were. Anyway's it's an awesome story, and the timing of the humor was great.
@ 6:21 - if you think that's intimidating, there was once a cpl of German guys who brought a 2,222 card deck to a Yu-Gi-Oh tournament. Their entire strategy was to load the deck down w/ cards that made them shuffle the deck & run out the clock. They didn't win any games & dropped out after someone asked them to stop, but they made a 2,222 card deck.
my friends are already clowning on me for double sleeving all my cards and tokens, fools. I feel fully conected to this video, best deck ever! You are absolute final boss of commander!
I had a friend do something similar we played at there house usually so they would pull out the deck out of the cabinet. Though it was the normal hard sleeves, not ones that go into card holders (muldrotha was the deck)
If there would be an REL level EDH tournament, this deck would not be legal as it is a requirement for your deck to be able to be adequately shuffled. This became a rule after there was a tournament where people came in with a deck similar (I forget if it was in slabs or merely an absurd amount of cards. It required a guy and his friend to be able to shuffle it.
@@therealnecromancer1231 Yugioh had to make it a rule your deck cant be over a certain number (i think 60) because of exactly this. guy came in with a deck that was like thousands of cards and almost every one was a searcher. the guy even essentially gave up his spot at the tournament for the joke too. now thats commitment!
When I'm older and can afford it, i want to make a full deck with graded cards. I don't know if the graded sleeves are thicker than those sleeves or not though.
That was actually the original vision for tjis deck, but like you said, that's for when the bank account if overflowing 😂 These are actually a bit thicker than a PSA or Beckett Slab though
@@SamHuggins haha good to know. Graded sleeves would still be hilarious though. Not to mention be very expensive. Since nowadays it costs a fortune to grade a single card
This is the kind of high quality content I'm here for. Reminds me of the one photo of dudes playing Magic where each card was an ipod touch with a picture of that card on it.
I did this with the top loaders. And I thought at the beginning that’s where you were going but you very, very quickly surpassed what I did. The comparison of your hard shell deck size to mine is essentially like comparing my top loader deck size to the single sleeved.
I did this in 94 to protest the use of sleeves. At the time all we had were standard trading card sleeves that were clear and a little too long. Some players were using this to cheat by doing things like putting their land and jewelry in the sleeves upside down so they had a better idea of what was on top of their deck. LGS did nothing about this and said the sleeves were fine, so I put my whole deck in screw downs. Made Chaos orb a lot better for sure.
Was planning to do this with top loaders lol but I see someone has already beat me to it and made an even better version of what I had in mind haha great stuff
Number each card 1 through 99. Use a randomizer to decide which cards you're going to "draw." Only play this deck against friends who can tolerate you. Never bring this deck to a tournament.
That deck is thicccc. I have a similar situation with my quadruple sleeved deck being about twice as thick as a double sleeved deck but I had to keep it out of top loaders because it's a shuffle every turn deck. I salute you sir may the thickest deck win
Just make sure you include Shahrazad in casual commander play sessions, so you can slowly down-stack your cards from one end of the table to the other.
It might be even more annoying to buy 100 official mtg stand in cards and then search your piled up pyramid for each official card as you play it to the table.

oh my fucking god yes

I mean, it's not entirely pointless in an Enrage-based deck. Doesn't explain this monstrosity, but it's something.
this is definitely one of the comander decks ever made
I liked the part where he said "it's sarrowin' paths time"
The profs deck box is now confirmed as trash because it couldn’t even hold this decks mana base

Brb getting each card in my 300 card Battle of Wits deck PSA graded
This is like the polar opposite of the Gonti Deck.
This was great. I saw top loaders before, because I watched CEDH stuff and those cards tend to be... Needing that kind of protection. But this is a whole new level. It'd be like grading your commander deck and playing it.

100-card commander deck, but every card is a blanket.
this guy plays magic!
Real talk, that makes me wanna get blankets printed at Walmart for one of my decks...
Make each card an iPhone with the card image used as its lockscreen and we're talking.
I did this with the 5mm hard sleeves. It fit perfect inside of a fat pack. We called it The Brick.
The “card investors” make this game way too damn serious, we need more people like this doing dumb things for dumb reasons.
and they are the reason cards are really expensive
This might actually be “the most ridiculous mtg deck ever made”. Certainly in the running. Love everything about this video.
I love that a silent deadpan stare is the default answer to most of the questions asked about this deck! 😄
Me with my literal 20 jank decks reads title: "challenge accepted"
Me with literal 20 seconds into the video: "...fuck"
Came here to see the gloriousness. I'm serious about designing a 3D printed box
It's all fun and games for the opponent until they play a card to search your library 😂
That’s the genius of it. If that happens, their best course of action is to scoop.

Genuinely fun and I enjoy the card display holders you have. very snazzy
The fact that you were silent when you said "Is it tournament legal?" Leads me to believe that it both is and isn't.

i may be the singular person very happy to hear caravan being played in the background
wonderful music choice sir
My initial reaction is: You sir are a knucklehead. I would kindly request a full shuffle every time you tutor.

But - what if you draw more than 7 cards or have Reliquary Tower / Thought Vessel?
That's when the box of backup holders comes out
It's the single-clap zoom-in near the end of the vid for me.
Well damn. I have a commander deck in Toploaders thinking I was all high and mighty but I have now been proven wrong.
i would also recommend the pyramid style for this deck like this. i personally use this style
Happy to hear caravan get some good background love
I love that Whiplash is playing in the background of this.
I’ve never had sleeves that made it easier to shuffle I actually avoided using sleeves for the longest, until I started using more valuable cards.

"Does this makes me a bad person?.... Dont answer that question. "
As a person who proudly possesses a Sorrow’s Path, I was staring at the first two cards and saying “why is there a Sorrow’s Path?”

"Highlander is a cool format--only 1 copy of each card? That'll make your games have a lot of fun variability!"
"So anyway I run fifteen tutors."
the only reason i'd do this is if i could make some sort of stand for the deck so it can be stacked "correctly"
Just make sure you include Shahrazad in casual commander play sessions, so you can slowly down-stack your cards from one end of the table to the other.
Now we need a battle of wits deck sleeved this way
The professor should invite him to Shuffle up and play

I have been planning on doing this actually, except not with these hard outer shells I was gonna use top loaders 😂
I'm currently in the works of building a deck that's not double sleeved, not just triple sleeved, but 4 layers of sleeves total.
Love the fun focus :)
As you were mentioning tutors, you literally have knight of the reliquary in your hand. Also hoe long did it take you to put all those hard cases on?
And then there is the Gonti deck of Rhystic Studies video fame.
I want to play this deck with my draw deck only to see you hold 60 of those bad boys at once
Tell people that all your cards have ward 0 because of their physical protection
What is your Deck?
Ah, you Know: a Bit of Control, Midrange, some Combos, a Little Bit of Ramp, artifacts
And A Five-Color-Cube.
Legit had a couple decks like this in my playgroup. One contained 24 Guru Islands 🤮
I appreciate that the deck is jank. The level of meme is through the roof.
And I thought my triple sleeved edh deck was bad.
Have you considered framing the cards individually?
would the UG Omnihive hold the entire deck in one?
I wouldn't even do this to my $20,000 commander deck because I can't even begin to imagine trying to shuffle with those things.
You missed the perfect chance in the beginning to say “why not”
Sam have you tried the Squid of Sorrows combo for your Sorrow's Path?
Actually, that was one of the original versions of this deck, but Pulling that off in commander is incredibly difficult haha
@@SamHuggins Very true. Also, from my own experience tends to draw a lot of aggro from the rest of the table because of all the tutoring. lol
