With no end in sight, now seems like the perfect time to look into the griffin family's finances to see just how broke Peter, Lois, Meg, Chris, Stewie, and Brian actually are and see if Peter's antics and many different jobs played a major role.

      Right? Rates are more like 0.25% right now for a straight savings account, and around 2% for accounts and certificates with minimum balances.

      Agreed. I just checked the national rates, and only a couple banks offer even 2%, and one required a $10K balance. On the other hand, would Peter have a Roth IRA, pension plan, etc.?

    4:56 Piano teacher here! Typical pay is £35/hour, which is about $45. This is the UK, but we have a lower GDP per capita than the USA, so I would expect it to be higher still.
