I tried this and rendered my project but it doesnt look anything like the beginning? I mean, it doesnt show any rgb at all just kinda looks like a vdieo playing on a normal screen.

You can either crank the emission up if your in cycles, or do what I like to do… which is put an area light in front of the tv and match the color and light levels of the screen to the area light to illuminate the scene
Why does multiplying the footage and rgb texture image values give us this effect? Is it creating light and dark variations of the RGB values to emulate the footage? Also does the vector node automatically divide the texture input into separate rgb value pixels or something?

you said that the scale should match the resolution of the video, but if i'm using a High Definition video, it will make the effect pretty small right? can I make the scan-lines bigger anyway?

Instead of twiddling with the texture coordinates, wouldn't it be easier to just UV-Unwrap the screen area and just scale it in the UV window to fit properly?
I had already UV unwrapped and everything. It’s just a problem I’ve always ran into with movie clips

i cant sea when i put video on emission ? why ?
If you can’t see the video, try adjusting the ‘Color’ tab that’s under Emission.

You can make an emissive object, go to object properties, scroll down to visibility, then ray visibility, and uncheck diffuse, glossy, transmission, and volume scatter

You young people miss the fact that older televisions have no pixels. It is one phosphor coating.... like paint. There are no individual dots. The picture is made from lines... not dots. An electron gun scans from left to right and top to bottom. LINES...not DOTS. So technically this is all wrong.
I know, but it gets the job done. I never claimed that this was a crt tv shader… I’m just using an retro tv model
That might be the case for older black and white screens, where there was no need to divide an image at all, since it's 100% analogue, but there had to be precise areas of alternating RGB emitting phospohores for color CRTs. The screen is divided into smaller squares (pixels), each pixel has 3 kinds of phosphor coating for RGB, and it has 3 electron emitters offset very precisely to hit only one kind of those. There was no red electron, there was only an electron that hit a red light emitting phosphorus material. Patterns of the RGB can vary, they could be 3 vertical lines that make up a square (like regular LCDs), or they can have a slight offset to them, where the red and blue are aligned but the green is pushed slightly up/down, making a weird "v" shaped pixel, or it could be 3 circular dots packed in a triangular formation (this is used mostly on high resolution CRT monitors, I rarely see it on TVs). You'll find the dots and uneven pixel shapes used most often in newer OLED screens as well
