My husband was in the hospital for 300 days. Every day he asked to hear this song! He went to heaven on May 3, 2024. I will miss him till I see him again. We trust You Lord!
Im not religious but i believe theres something good out there in the void, a few months ago my life was turned around by a life changing illness at the age of 35. I know life on this earth is beautiful but youll meet him again.

I love these old gospel songs, I don't know why our churches can't go back to these grand old tunes! Praise & worship songs of today are ok,but they don't have the same message as an old GOSPEL song!

When my grandmother was dying I had just found out I was pregnant with my daughter. This was her favorite song and wanted it played at her funeral.
My daughter was born Christmas Day that year and I named her middle name after my beloved grandma. I went on to suffer severe postpartum depression. It was the darkest time of my life. After lots of prayer and the right medicine I found healing.
Today my daughter told me she sang a song in Sunday school about a lighthouse and time stood still as it all came full circle….I thank God for the lighthouse!

If it wasn't for God SAVING me as a child from a tragic accident killing my mother & grandmother, then SAVING MY SOUL as a young women who knows where I would have been. I've not always been worthy but HE NEVER gave up on me or left me. He patiently waited & lead me back to the path He had planned for me. I took detours & wrong turns & He moved rivers & roads to bring me back every single time. I'm almost 72 & praying He'll let me finish my goals & dreams & PRAISE HIS NAME ALONG THE WAY... 🙏 ❤ your voices & ❤ this song❣️

We had this this played at mommas funeral, it was one of her favorites.. God bless her, she is the one place she lived her whole life to get to... I do have a special prayer request this morning... My sister is in the critical care unit fighting for her life, she has terminal cancer and she went septic, I pray for a miracle but also I pray for peace with whatever God decides, so if you could, please just send up a prayer for her... I sailed the waters of the inside passage in Washington and BC Canada in a little boat for 30 years and boy howdy what a metaphor. Time after time I cannot explain why I'm still here except that the grace of God guided us through the rock and storm. It's another song that brings a tear and sometimes you can only walk on faith and keep going .

My mom had this played at her funeral. She loved to hear them sing.
We have an elderly man at our church who sings this song. His voice is old and rough, but amazing. We had soldiers coming to our church on Sunday nights before the pandemic and the first time he got up to sing it as a special, I was so worried. I was afraid this bunch of young soldiers would not listen to him and be disrespectful. To my amazement, they all sat quietly and listened well. I think I've even seen tears in the eyes of some. When he is finished singing they all applauded him. I was very proud of them all.
That band is excellent. The singers are excellent. The song gives praise to the Lord Jesus Christ and it is being shared. Give God all the praise!
