We can compare the example of the Fair Fares MetroCard which allows people to pay the Subway Fare at a reduced price. That’s what needs to be done, offer them a discounted rent so that way they can save money and life has gotten really challenging for everyone. The rent should’ve gone down in the moment when COVID changed everything for everyone.
