    I recognize the hardships that come with economic struggles like unemployment, job loss, inflation, housing market instability, political uncertainties, and the global impact of conflicts and wars. Making ends meet during such times can be incredibly challenging. To navigate this difficult period, considering alternative job prospects, enhancing skills through online courses, and expanding your network can heighten the chances of securing employment. Moreover, prudent budgeting, exploring available financial aid programs, and seeking assistance from community organizations can offer some relief. How are you currently tackling these challenges? Have you implemented any specific strategies to cope?

Incidentally , in the very same year Brown created a new benefit for mothers called ' working tax credits ' , although it didn't matter whether the mother's worked or not : £ 330 quids monthly for each and every child . Not bad unemployment if you can get it .
      It is interesting to note , the working tax credit thing appeared just at the time Brown's partner was having babies . The biggest most single problem in the UK today is private landlords, particularly the buy-to-let mortgage landlords. Affordable housing is a thing of the past as long as the government allows landlords to increase rent on an annual basis at ridiculous sums of £50 per month increases without giving any extra amenities. What the government should be doing is bringing landlords under tougher regulation with fairer rents.

    • @Africa-q4k
      @Africa-q4k 6 месяцев назад +15

      Nope, as a private landlord, and someone that studied economics. I can say the following, the Bank of England is the biggest cause of misery, the BoE raises interest rates, so landlords pay more for their mortgage and pass on the cost to the renter. If the BoE didn’t raise interest rates I wouldn’t raise rent. If you can afford the rent that I am request, please evacuate the house and go to an affordable house, it’s the mentally of the free market.

U can also Support your heat retention by improving Isolation with thick blankets or thermal fabric in front of Windows or wall carpets and even candles. For your own body to keep warm i suggest wool blankets /anything wool will help. Also there are little Hand ovens to get for little money u can use with Lighter Fluid to keep your hands warm. Maybe you can get some second hand Things like blankets and such from charity Shops or online marketplaces or ppl will Gift them to you. I lived in this area for almost 20 years. Lovely people and it was a great area even if poor until the manchester city labour council ripped the area and communities apart on purpose. They did this because the city centre is expanding out and they want to socially cleanse the area.
    Thousands of council homes demolished and land sold to china or sold off to developers to be turned into expensive apartments.

    The cost of living crisis is made up! The reason for the rise is greed. Take a look around.
    1. Banks: There's less branches, less branch workers, less overheads but interest rates go up?
    2. Energy: Up and down the country we see more and more wind farms, more renewable energy more competition but the prices keep going up?
    3. Food: Food portions are getting smaller but more expensive look how big things were 20-30 years ago at a fraction of the price. But now we get less for a stupidly high price.
    Just the 3 examples are huge because they affect every single one of us. They are squeezing everything they can out of us for one reason. GREED. Untill company's are boycotted like Cadbury, BP and shell, withdraw your money from banks. The so called cost of living crisis will continue to get worse.

      yeah investment is the key to sustaining your financial longevity but venturing into any legit investment or business without a proper guidance of an expert can lead to great loss too.

    This highlight's exactly why government's simply can't just give people hand out's, some one or big financial group, or huge property developer has clearly monopolised this situation. The average rental return on any property in England is 3-6 percent of value, annually, anybody can do that math. Someone or group is manipulating the system, and it does make the government look bad, but they are stuck between a rock and an even harder place as well. The landlords are profiteering.
