Great review as always Andy, it’s been awhile since any of us have seen you so excited over an air rifle. Looking forward to seeing you review the other (versions/models) numbers.

Hello Andy, I love your channel. I'm not merely saying this for praising sake. I like your choice of words and very very informative. I wish I could get hold of that airgun but it's way way out of my budget. I've been recently a subscriber even though I used to watch many of your videos. I'm a man from Northeast India very much interested in PCP Airguns. Good Review 👍
It certainly looks like a fabulous, good quality gun, but it's a shame about the "ping" every time it is fired. That would drive me crazy fairly quickly.
I own several Czech rifles and their accuracy and build is always excellent, this could also be tempting, I was anticipating a higher price tbh, nearer to Steyr/FWB etc My only reservation is the high weight. Thanks for the review.
the accuracy is just insane... but it comes for a price! althought not as expensive as an fx... also, from your audience across the ocean, we'd love to see more FAC rifle reviews!
@@AAROnairnext Friday then? - just asking😂. The weight is not ideal for me but the folding stock is a great feature if portability is important. A Great Review.
@@grahamedwards9920 I like a long barrel, but also a short case that can fit in the trunk of my car, like the case my 600 mm Maverick came in, as it have now been extended 100 mm, well it is in a new case and have to travle on the back seat of my car, and it is only just i can close the door in the small JAP car i have. So not quite sure 700 mm barrel even with foldable stock can fit in the back of my car, but that is what i am aiming for. The bigger question now is, can i join a club and so be able to buy a .22, or will i have to settle on the .177 that is free for all here when you are 18 YO ( FAC of course )
I had a go with the epic two today in 550mm barrel the quality as you said and build quality is off the chart however there is a problem and in 550mm its very heavy and the weight is front loaded which is such a shame its such a awesome gun but to heavy in the front for me maybe the 300mm barrel/balance is much better.
Good review Andy. 👍 I preferred this "straight into the shooting" when doing the outdoor part of the review rather than some repetition of indoor info. You gave all the necessary info in the studio. We'll ignore the MAO error😂. Cost seems consistent with quality. Been considering an Impact M series, but hear so many bad things about current FX QC, so this in .30 could definitely be a tempter to complement my old school FX Boss.
Did I miss it as I didn’t hear shot count mentioned. I have AirMaks Katran that has a similar air tank and folding stock. Shoots great but shot count is low unless you go to the carbon fibre bottle which spoils the guns lines. Not really an issue as plenty of shots for most pest control and at the range you have your bottle but I can imagine in FAC the small air reservoir might be restrictive. ( maybe the FAC will have a bigger bottle )
@@AirMaksarmsUK bad choice of words, shot count is fine and expected. My observation was more about FAC versions. The Katran has a carbon bottle option. One of my best guns and let’s say a little bit cheaper than the Epic Two

Genuine rifles are a third of the price and have double the recoil so the "build quality" excuse is BS. Not to mention its either .177 or .22 every time, .20 is the better calibre but its bypassed due to manufacturing costs again but charge you .50 rifle money for a 12ftlb pea shooter. Air rifle companies need to sell more at a budget price rather than selling a few for mega money. Slowly killing the game. Drop a rifle and drop an air rifle. See which is dented and has accuracy problems vs the other. Aluminum is cheap 😂
What's a 'genuine' rifle? A decent .22LR target rifle like an Anschutz 1761 is about £1500, a Blaser R8 is pushing £5k. If you want .50 BMG money then Accuracy International will happily relieve you of around £11k. Then there's the FAC, the storage, the range/permission, and the ammunition costs. If you want a £200 air gun you can buy one, if you want a £200 powder burner you can buy one. Personally I wouldn't want an Epic - it looks like the offspring of a fire extinguisher and a meccano set to me, but there's a lot more precision work gone into it compared to my HW97K or a similarly priced 'genuine' rifle like a Ruger American. Each to their own.

Just got into this hobby and I've narrow it down to 2 rifles after a few weeks of research. This one and the FX impact. I am leaning toward this one, because i like the look better. However, there was a reported issue with the regulator on the epic two, which is that the first two shots are basically useless after picking up the gun after an extended break without shooting it. Giving that the tank is small and up to 260 CC, that would be a bummer. Anyone have had any issue with the regulator?

To be fair; I notice with mock horror, I have to look down the business end to read my tank pressure gauge and fiddle with antiquated fill probe to charge with air.
I look at fill kit gauge when filling, and have no need to look while shooting as i also shoot tethered to a 12 L bottle, CUZ when you shoot a absolute minimum of 400 shots in a outing and some days as high as 1200, well constantly filling the rifle would be a major pain. MAX 300 BAR, no one say you have to fill to that level, actually many shooters do not fill to the 300 BAR they rifle are rated for. I think that finally, I have found the gun that I can honestly say that I aspire to. I've never been a fan of expensive guns, I think there are many great guns for less than £1k but all the way through the review I was thinking that this appears to be a very nice gun and possibly worth spending up to £2.5k for the level of quality so was extremely surprised when you said £1.9k as this is in Daystate and FX territory. This is probably the only gun over £1k that I would consider, and as I am hoping to go FAC soon, would love to see how the FAC version fairs.

P.S love the channel and your enthusiasm for the sport
Impressive looking gun, I think you passed up the fill process, but understand, with so much going on. Maybe when you do the FAC and thanks for all you do
Andy I've recently bought a Vixen and its fantastic but in my opinion it's best suited as a hunting tool, do you think the epic two would make a good FT rifle? I'm really looking for something that will compete without going down th FX, Steyr, Feinwerkbau etc route
How do we get hook - line and sinker back out of a Andy ? I feel the epic are a bit high on price, well until you step back and look at what you get for the money, i am in the market for a FAC .177 - 700 mm LW barrel slug shooting demon. Piggy bank +2/3 of the way there.
It looks like quite a gun. If I had to have one criticism for me it's the name. It makes a very high end rifle sound cheep and tacky. Thats just me and like I say nit picking. One would presume you will be acquiring one Andy haha
I so envy the choices today's. Hi andy I'm seriously considering this as an alternative to the brk ghost...how many shots per fill will I get from this ? ... And also what pellets were you using on the 40m test we seen ?
I agree !00% with you Andy on the features and quality of this rifle. It also looks like it is not copying the look of any other rifles. To me for a rifle that looks like a compact carry around one the adjustable stock is overkill and would add too much weight. I'm in the US and look forward to your review of the FAC model and the particulars of shot count among other things. I went to Epics website and it is sad that they don't give the specs. of their models.

Man i bought the effecto zeon because of your clips and i liked it allot ..850 euro's in NL ..But this gun in the cold ?ow boy ..Nah dont get me wrong, this gun cost 1.995,00 euro ..More then 2 time's .BUT if i had the money hmmmm..very nice clip
Hi Andy I have a question for you I have a Gamo gen 2 magnum FAC .22 as you would know the recoil on this gun is considerable what scope would you recommend not worried about budget also will you be reviewing the FX king full power considering the channel is predominantly aimed at sub 12fpb. P.S love the channel and your enthusiasm for the sport
Lovely gun but very low shot count. Sub 12 airgunners just done a review and was only getting around 40 shots out of it.
Oh my - one can only dream. Just by the way - how about a shooting rest review/shootout. Bipod/Tripod/Bags/etc.
I've been researching what will ultimately be my first PCP Airgun, and my list just got longer.
Given your limited knowledge of this rifle would you suggest a 330mm or 550mm barrel for field target?
TIA
It looks like quite a gun. If I had to have one criticism for me it's the name. It makes a very high end rifle sound cheep and tacky. Thats just me and like I say nit picking. One would presume you will be acquiring one Andy haha
Sir I am from Pakistan, please sir recommend me a gun, pr900 or trex bullpop?
That stock is awful looking imo..hopefully they do an AR style one..looks like a pp750 with a buck rail kit
Any news on the newer version with the larger bottles please?
they are out and available and will be on the Vector-air stand and range at the NEC next weekend. stay safe Andy
I so envy the choices today's. Airgunners have, I truly thought it would cost a bit more than it does, after being a hunter/shooter for over 50 years I had to give up after loosing a leg after a medical Ferk Up, Gutted got the money but nowhere to shoot lol That's Life...Make the most of your shooting folks. Great Review Andy looking forward to the FAC review
Been waiting for this review or should that be hoping ? Well it was worth it , what a piece of kit ! Problem is thats now at least 3 manufacturers rifles i cant afford , ill take solace in my bacon sandwich ......loved the review . AWESOME .
Dave
Hi Andy, could you have a look at the Snowpeak/Artemis M25?
Wow a cracking review Andy this review has completely changed my opinion of what an air rifle should be able to do I am seriously considering this rifle when and if funds are available
Cheers again
Nice, but same grupping I have with 800 euro Dreamline.
Brilliant review. I think £1900 is a very good price and it is on my purchase list without a doubt.👍
The tripod looks amazing too but £700 too amazing for my pocket
What a review ! What a gun ! IF I was "Hankering after" a new gun this would be the one. Alas I would be in the save up to buy group :-( Maybe ... one day...
Hi andy I'm seriously considering this as an alternative to the brk ghost...how many shots per fill will I get from this ? ...
And also what pellets were you using on the 40m test we seen ?
No idea what the definitions are under UK law, but it does look a bit pistol-like (although large) with the stock folded..
Love the video Andy. Everytime I think of replacing my HFT500 for something else you seem to bring up another gun to put the spanner into the works.
Keep up the reviews and eventually I'll make my mind up and splash some cash.
