It is intentionally off a few ticks. This is, as Andy mentioned, to avoid ruining the aim point itself. If he adjusted the scope "perfectly" he would destroy the center mark by first shot and he would have nothing to aim at for the rest of the magazine 😉 That's why reviewers often set the scope and then make a few ticks e.g. left and down (or any other combination of directions) to ensure they will not hit their exact aim point...

Just got into this hobby and I've narrow it down to 2 rifles after a few weeks of research. This one and the FX impact. I am leaning toward this one, because i like the look better. However, there was a reported issue with the regulator on the epic two, which is that the first two shots are basically useless after picking up the gun after an extended break without shooting it. Giving that the tank is small and up to 260 CC, that would be a bummer. Anyone have had any issue with the regulator?
These are brand new and Vector Air are the importer and there have been no regulator issues at all…not sure who is making that comment?if you want a higher shot count, go for the 550 length or the carbon bottle version.. stay safe. Andy
How do we get hook - line and sinker back out of a Andy ? I feel the epic are a bit high on price, well until you step back and look at what you get for the money, i am in the market for a FAC .177 - 700 mm LW barrel slug shooting demon. Piggy bank +2/3 of the way there.
That is going to be power dependant, and length dependant, the 300mm has a short tube which also holds the reg and plenum, so in a power hungry .177 then 60 ish shots?? Stay safe
I've been told its 120 shots in sub 12 .177 for the 300mm barrel. So your answer has made me think of getting the 500mm version instead. I've emailed Vector air last week, but not got a reply. Any chance you could gey an answer please?@@AAROnair
They ran into some problems with the One during development, but it was actually supposed to launch first, which also make more sense given their names. I am glad that happened as i am over bulpup style guns ( 2 of my 3 rifles is that kind ) so i am looking for a traditional rifle, tacti cool look is fine, actually want folding stock. There are basis info on the One on the epic airguns web site.
looks brilliant this epic the only thing I can think of as a bench rest paper shooter is a single shot tray does it come with one for us oldies. regards steve ps keep up the great work I can see its fun !
No, there is no single shot tray available. Whilst you can thumb a pellet direct into the barrel, there isn't much room and is very awkward to do. There is no pellet retention in the magazines either, so have had pellet in the shooting position fall out at times.
I've been critical in the past of you seemingly over reviewing Chinese guns, I'm so pleased to see some quality equipment, this is where we should all be looking, something that will last, yes a higher budget however buy well buy once is my motto. I can't see these ever turning up in the second hand market due to once you've had one it's hard to go back. I'm just clearing a space in my collection for this. Because I can tell you with access to everything love it, so that speaks volumes.
If op doesn't like anything manufactured in China (I dunno, for shoddy claims?), then they're not going to be buying much at all, and, probably walking around without any clothes on. That's what happens when you outsource all your manufacturing to one country and don't build anything yourself.
The Chinese have simply been doing what we did in the 50's & 60's, investing money in industry and education. The Chinese are becoming world leaders in important fields on a huge scale. We only have ourselves to blame, sadly. Air gunning is no longer a 'get what you pay for' sport. China, Turkey etc. are really opening up the competition.
Good question. At sub 12ftlb I believe it's excluded from the 300mm barrel / 600mm overall requirement (noting it's 850mm overall with the stock at full extent). In FAC it's going to depend if it's capable of firing with the stock folded, which would make the overall length sub 600mm. Edgun, Brocock and various takedown rifles get round the 600mm overall length requirement by being incapable of firing with the stock folded/removed. I'd assume this is the same.
I’ve never fired or even held a gun in my life. I don’t do Airsoft or Paintball. But I keep coming back to this channel just because Andy has a great presentation style and it’s just a good fun watch. Cheers Andy!

Does anyone know what airgun Andy has in the background there? With the wood and bottle in the stock?
Looks like a kral np02
It’s NOT a Kral……..
@@AAROnair mmmmm now I'm intrigued?

@@AAROnair come oooon, tell us 😆
Superb. Any idea of shot count in .177?
That is going to be power dependant, and length dependant, the 300mm has a short tube which also holds the reg and plenum, so in a power hungry .177 then 60 ish shots?? Stay safe
I've been told its 120 shots in sub 12 .177 for the 300mm barrel. So your answer has made me think of getting the 500mm version instead. I've emailed Vector air last week, but not got a reply. Any chance you could gey an answer please?@@AAROnair
great review and with all that adjustability, the price was pretty reasonable in my opinion
I know what I’ll be buying with my tax return in April
I was gonna go party in Amsterdam then Barcelona. I think this is a better option.
I am intrigued about the No 1 version yet to be released!
Oh my - one can only dream. Just by the way - how about a shooting rest review/shootout. Bipod/Tripod/Bags/etc.
Given your limited knowledge of this rifle would you suggest a 330mm or 550mm barrel for field target?
TIA
So, this vs a delta wolf ?
looks brilliant this epic the only thing I can think of as a bench rest paper shooter is a single shot tray does it come with one for us oldies. regards steve ps keep up the great work I can see its fun !
No, there is no single shot tray available. Whilst you can thumb a pellet direct into the barrel, there isn't much room and is very awkward to do. There is no pellet retention in the magazines either, so have had pellet in the shooting position fall out at times.
You normally tell us what pellet/weight etc you're using Andy. What did you use in this test? Pellet, slug?
Times….11.23 and 11.28 for the weight of the slug..which were H&N
@AAROnair Sorry Andy, must have missed that (I was obviously to engrossed) 😄👍
Outstanding 😮
I can’t decide between the Epic Two and an FX Panthera.
Any thoughts please Andy?
Epic Two for me…..
@@AAROnairafter some consideration, I am totally agreeing with you.
Thank you.
Nice looking bit of kit.
Don't you mean MOA not MAO? 😂😂
If the overall length is less than 60cm? Doesn't that make it prohibited in the UK at that power level?
Good question. At sub 12ftlb I believe it's excluded from the 300mm barrel / 600mm overall requirement (noting it's 850mm overall with the stock at full extent). In FAC it's going to depend if it's capable of firing with the stock folded, which would make the overall length sub 600mm. Edgun, Brocock and various takedown rifles get round the 600mm overall length requirement by being incapable of firing with the stock folded/removed. I'd assume this is the same.
Andy you're definitely gushing 😂
