I just got my neighbor's (sitting for 5 years) 1998 Murray with the 18.5HP Briggs opposed twin flat head. It has a 46" 3 blade deck that needs two belts.
did you not see the top of the crank where the flywheel is moving back and forth I'm thinking it's got a bearing bad in it on the crank I think you got problems inside that motor I'm just saying

That mower has a 46" deck? Ive never heard of a 46. All other makers offer a 42 then a 54.
