It depends. Some mechanics see 💰💰

The evolution of car chimes and electronic beeps over the years is truly maddening. These days the car always has something to say!
A friend has a 2023 Subaru and it talks to him constantly. I don't know if the mysterious voice can be muted. The stall/start nonsense is just that.
We just bought my wife one. She loves it. We got the Black Diamond standard so it gets about 19mpg. I wish she got something more fuel efficient but this thing is really fun. I think they nailed the look and it doesn't feel cheap. I have a 2020 Explorer that feels extremely cheap and this doesn't at all. Overall I like it.
What gear ratio 4.27 or 373
Scotty is always so honest. Awesome reviews as always! 💯
It tells ya what the speed limit is, which we've just exceeded 🤣🤣🤣
Love this Bronco! Scotty we got 2.7 V6 F150 with 162K miles, Still drives like new, only thing its got, new plugs and all fluids. Love it
The 2.7 is a great engine. All you have to do is change the oil every 4 to 5k and you’re good.
I got 2006 F150 same engine love it l just took out stores only got 19,000 miles on it with 8 ft bed I am 1st own of it 1 day soon have sell it health issues:( awesome truck
Scotty, love your videos. On the mileage average I would guess that the posted 18.5mpg was based upon segment of distance that can be adjusted as on my Yukon. Mine is usually set to the last 400 miles, which is typical mileage I get per tank. It can be adjusted to 200 or reset to zero to get more accurate daily driving as you were doing. My guess is Ford is the same. Been looking at the Bronco in the same color. Very timely video. Thumbs up!
The 3cyl in my wife's bronco sport has plenty of get-up and go. Loaded w features. Awesome little suv for a traveling nurse.. now it's no full size bronco, that's what I drive! Love em both.
Hell no on that 3 cylinder.
...and I'll bet that our friends south of the border did a great job of assembling it, right?
Everyone hates on the Bronco Sport because it isn’t a Bronco. But I’ve heard good reports from those who’ve actually driven it
I'm really impressed at how Scotty makes the exact same pose for every video thumbnail. Now that's dedication to pointing at cars!

😏
I love how Shotty is on the phone making a video while driving and still drives better than a teenager on their phone.
50 years of driving experience vs 2 months. Of course teenagers aren’t the best drivers.
Lol as a teen I would text and drive and sometimes when I looked up I didn’t even know how I got there because I hadn’t been looking for 5-10 mins.
Still do it. Not a single accident. Everyone is different.
And by not looking I mean paying attention. I would still check my peripheral to make sure I was where I needed to be relative to the road, but that’s about it.
Nice car!
As for the refresh rate with MPGs, if I’m not mistaken, the longer it goes the slower it refreshes. On our Pacifica, after you reset it, it refreshes constantly and then gradually slows down. If not reset long enough, it seems like it never refreshes.
Actually, I reset it every time I flll up and if I stop when the pump shuts
off (as I usually do), the readout is very accurate (within 1 MPG either way). I also check it manually.
Just a thought. Have a great day!
Those hand bars to help people in and out of the back seat are wonderful! Always had to bring a small footstool so my mom could get in and out of my escape as there was really nothing to grab onto.
Still wish Ford gave the Bronco a V8 option. Would love to see a coyote in one some day.
Same here brother, I'm fed up with all of these Turbo engines especially considering since none of em will outlast my 96 Ford F150 with a 5.0L (302) Windsor V8.
Well they don't want it to last that long!

Hey Scotty with most vehicles with the automatic on/off when stopped you can put it in either Low or Manual mode for automatics, and hit the + button on the shifter until the highest gear is selected and it operates as a regular automatic. I do this for my 2018GM vehicle and my friend does this for his brand new f-150
This video came up in my feed and I’m glad I watched it. You sound about 3 sheets to the wind. 😂 I love it!
Okay, now I will wait for Scotty’s live show to hear what he really thinks of the Bronco 😉
I'd take a Badlands with the 2.3 and manual transmission on the standard 33" tires. Looks plenty beefy and badass. No need for a V6 or V8 with 300 horsepower and 325 lb-ft of torque.
Hey man thank you so much for your videos they are so educational I learn more then what I have learn in school so thank you for your honesty in your videos
I love this review!
Ohhhh....You said Bucking Bronco....my bad. 😂😂
Scotty, the likely reason the mpg was not changing is because it was on the lifetime mpg for the vechile. Usually that doesn't get reset unless done by the user. You probably just need to change a setting to get the current mpg.
I'd guess he knows that.
I think what he was implying about was the fact that it wasn't dropping while he was driving hard. It still should have dropped from 18.5 to at least 17 and then maybe even 16 during his test drive. No doubt a software bug.
@@4wdiesels It's not a bug. That bronco has nearly 8,000 miles on it and the mpg was likely not reset during that time, so even if you stomp on the gas it's not going to change the average mpg over that 8,000 miles much if any.
@@2011blueman that's surprising. I see what your saying, but typically with cars that lack analog fuel gages. They self update your potential mpg throughout the drive. I'm guessing he didn't drive it long enough for it to "do its thing"
@@STho205 There's a difference between not knowing how to do something, and being mistaken. He probably just didn't know how to change it.

The fact that they put the owner's manual in the actual computer of the car is a really good idea beings whenever you need to look something up you're usually in the car already. I like that idea, plus owners don't have the excuse of "I lost it so I didn't know".

Best review ever. I love your energy. You are naturally hilarious!
Scott back at it with the Bronco review.
Scotty, I love your channel and almost always agree with you - however buying a Ford 4 cylinder engine is a mistake. Starting in the late 80's, Ford makes the valve guides out of metal shavings, mixed with something similar to epoxy and compressed. Somewhere between 60 and 85Kmiles, they start to disintegrate and pieces of them fall on top of the piston without warning. Then the piece gets between the piston and the head when the piston comes up blows a hole in the piston, and about 30% of the time cracks the head as well. This happened to my wife' 93 Escort 1.9, and the mechanic at the Ford dealer told me that it happened to almost all of them. My brother bought a 2.0 SOHC 2006 Focus for his wife - even though I warned him, and he was assured that Ford had fixed that problem long ago. At exactly 71,000K - it happened to the Focus. This also happened to my 2008 2.3 Ranger, at 81,000.........
Nothing like the old Ford - I have a 1985 F150 4 X 4, with a 300 CI straight six and a 4-speed standard. I did not have to do anything to the engine, Transmission, or differential other than to change fluids - until 285,000 miles in 2006, when I rebuilt the engine and refurbished the trans and differentials. I still drive that, and think that it may outlast me.
This is quite interesting. I have a; 1988 fox body, 1987 ranger, and X2 1996 rangers all have 60,000 to 210,000 thousand miles with zero valvetrain problems. That's really unfortunate for you.
@@calvinwright5040 not just me - and is funny I just mentioned this - the same day you replied to me - the Feds started an investigation into massive numbers of Bronco engines failing - due to valves falling out of the heads into the combustion chamber,. I wish it weren't so, because I have always been a Ford fan myself - but it is not just me.

They are popping up on the road everywhere now. After never seeing one until about a month ago, I see 5-10 every day.
They need to make a hybrid version of the Bronco. I would love to get a Bronco but the poor gas mileage is prohibitive.
It's good to see a full-sized spare tire.

First time watching you! You’re a trip! Not only did you inform me about the Bronco you also made me laugh and smile, so thank you!!
6:06😂 great video keep them coming
Cool looking vehicle seemingly built on a solid platform. Questions I’d have before considering a purchase: Is the water pump internal like on the F-150? Can the engine start/stop system be deactivated so that it idles at stop lights rather than shut off? Is the a/c compressor electric rather than belt driven?
Timing belt vs timing chain?
Water pump: Have to check. Start/stop has a dedicated deactivate button that you need to press everytime you turn it on. A/C belt driven I believe. -Bronco owner
I sheepishly haven’t looked at where/how my water pump or the ac compressor are set up. The auto start/stop can be turned off via a button… which is every time the vehicle is cycled. A tune or a forscan coding trip can set it off permanently.
Love mine, but it’s a vehicle I’m glad has a warranty.
The water pump is not internal in the 2.7 ecoboost
Water pump is not internal on the f150

I really very much want a two-door bronco. But at the moment, I'm not quite sure if I want to start paying a car loan.
Scotty I do believe it says 18.5 mpg in the screen because its averaging out the 200 hours of engine on time before you drove it. I bet if you reset it it would've come close to the 4 mpg you got in your Shelby. Awesome video as always!
I was thinking the same.
It should updating automatically though
@@kaniel_outis1 It would over time if Scotty had driven it for longer than he did. That fuel mpg was the average over 200 hours. If he reset and was flooring it everywhere it would be in the single digits easily
He's obviously unaware of instant fuel economy vs average fuel economy!
My neighbor had the engine in his drop a valve at 2,300 miles.
Precipitous drop - Scotty that's a big would to use on you channel. Lol, love your channel 👍
6:10 when he said it’s building a bucking bronco I thought I heard it wrong
Imagine Bronco with the 4.0 V6 twin turbos..Oh Yea!!
You really don't need the turbos. Scotty says in other videos that turbos are bad for the internal components of an engine. They wear out the engines way faster. He says just get a normally asperated V8 (or V6).

Awesome truck I think I may buy one of these
Scotty always blaming the México made , mexico produce what are told to do not what they whant.
I have a 1.5 Bronco Sport and that thing is super underrated. It’s peppy with quick acceleration despite being a 3 cylinder. It also handles great off road. Obviously it’s not gonna rock crawl like a big Bronco but it can handle sand, ice, or mud. Not everyone needs a full size Bronco. Plus the gas mileage is great.
You better change that oil with full synthetic every 3,000 miles or that 1.5 Is going to fall apart quick!
You are super proud of an inherently short-life engine platform.

Hey Scotty! I know the Bronco has a full frame like a regular truck, but what are your thoughts on the front suspension and the REAR suspension? Why doesn't the Bronco have rear leaf springs like the Ford Ranger? What kind of rear suspension is holding the rear differential on the Bronco in place? I notice side thin bars leading from the body frame down to the differential but is that safe and will it last for years down the road? Are those bars for strenghthning the rear end in lieu of having leaf springs instead? I don't get it! I'd prefer leaf springs for strength and towing. Your Thoughts Scotty!

Yeah pretty sure it was International that built them and I know what you mean. Those were tough trucks as far as I know.

Scotty, how do you feel about the longevity of the 2.3 liter 4 cylinder engine? Is it going to be as reliable as the 6 cylinder?
Do an updated review on the blown engine problems !! Big issues are blowing up the internet !
New Broncos are experiencing engine failure issues. As of this date, Ford is replacing Eco-Boost engines and treating it as a warranty issue (no recall yet). More to come, I'm sure...
Interesting. They use that engine in many vehicles.
Only v6 not 4 cylinders
@@d.b.1979 It's due to a batch of bad valves installed between February and September of 2021. They heat and cool many times.
