@@bobbertbobberson6725 Much like the M982 Excalibur 155mm shell is programmed using a Enhanced Portable Inductive Artillery Fuze Setter (EPIAFS) that sits over the nose of the shell while you program it, looks like this projectile uses induction from the base while in the breach. Much like how a smartphone charges wirelessly using induction.
@@bobbertbobberson6725 I doubt it's a wired connection. The contacts could get fouled or damaged causing connection issues. Orbital ATK produces 30mm and 40mm rounds with programmable/ timed fusing, and they are programmed in the chamber through inductive coils.
@timmooney7528 you can literally see the concentric contact rings on the face of the case base. If you look at the face of the breech block, you can see the ADL pins. Furthermore, there is no electrical coil around the breech or gun tube, just wire leads for the ADL and firing circuit
That to me is the internet in a nutshell. Also, if you ask me, I think NG is hiding the UFOs in plain sight like in that Manta Ray. Reverse Engineered into UAVs
Well I mean, the main culprit is someone we're all familiar with. But if China wants to watch that video and try to copy it and then realize, "We don't have a copied M1A2 Abrams to fire this from!!!" well then I guess the channels are working?
Sometimes it feels like the US is the person who brings a gun to a knife fight. Doesn't matter how fancy your knife is they're just so ahead of everyone. Lol
You should see the Hyper Velocity Projectile US Navy has been messing around with. US loaded a 155mm Hyper Velocity Projectile on a howitzer to shoot down a cruise missile.
The Grumman LLV mail vehicle was made from 1986-1994. And the thing the Fat Election got wrong in that vid is he keeps saying Northrop-Grumman, when it was just Grumman prior to the 1994 buyout of Grumman by Northrop. The USPS then purchased the Ford-Utilimaster Flexible Fuel Vehicle from 1999-2001 and beginning this year, the Oshkosh Next Generation Delivery Vehicle.
They were using burning fuses to do this with cannon shells in the 1700's and 1800's and using mechanical timers to do this in WW1 and WW2, now they're just doing it with electronics. It's not that big a deal other than it's reliable enough to do it safely, I hope. The next step is to have the ballistics computer steer the shell to a moving or stationary target while the tank is moving. Once the shell is out of the barrel, it's going to where the barrel was pointed when it leaves the muzzle. If you can guide the projectile like a missile, not only do you increase accuracy, but you increase range because the shell can also have lift to cancel air pressure and gravity by steering it up. :)
I bought one to play with. The round has comm link pick up points at rear of the shell that makes contact with the inside of the closing breach. Gunner computer sends signals to the loaded round telling it which mode, range etc.
It looks like its don electrically if you look at the graphic it shows circular metal bands on the back of the round ,i think if you apply an electrical charge to the different band you get different modes
From a Director Operational and Test Evaluation from FY2022 - "The Army completed Live Fire testing. The low-rate initial production round did not fully pass the First Article Acceptance Test. The Army is conducting an investigation to determine the cause of the failure. The Full-Rate Production decision has been delayed." "DOT&E will provide its assessment of M1147 120mm AMP operational effectiveness, suitability, and survivability in a combined classified report for IOT&E and LFT&E after the program demonstrates airburst reliability requirement has been met." I don't know if they've actually purchased these or not. The most recent items I've seen on it are from 2023. We know the airburst didn't meet specs in 2022. I looked at a few reddit posts, 2 to 3 years old, and I couldn't find anything where anyone said they've adopted the round.
I found a US Govt solicitation System for Award Management (SAM), where they are soliciting for a production contract. I would think that means they have accepted the initial design. Posted Date: 05/03/2024 Response Date: 07/02/2024 Archive Date: 05/03/2025 Solicitation Number: W15QKN24R0042 The U.S. Army Contracting Command - New Jersey, on behalf of the Office of the Project Manager, Maneuver Ammunition Systems (PM-MAS), intends to issue a request for proposal (RFP) for the production of the 120mm, Advanced Multi-Purpose (AMP) M1147 High Explosive Multi-Purpose with Tracer (HEMP-T) Cartridge, utilizing Other than Full and Open Competition procedures. The fusing system uses induction to program the detonation mode. The round passes by a coil, and is programmed by a magnetic field.

All major companies have a RUclips channel. If they don't, someone else will use their name. Some do more with it than others.

3:36 they explained how they select how the ammunition will detonate.
New space looks like it's coming together great, a tour would be great. And also, another banger video mate, keep it up!
The intro about ufos was great😂

Lockeed Martin and General Dynamics also have RUclips channels
As does Boeing, Harris, Raytheon now called RTX, etc.
Check out Pterodynamics X-P4 Transwing. It's a military quadcopter that transforms into a standard winged drone

Only a couple mins into the video and realizing Luke has officially lost his mind.

@@guyintenn ... Yeah, that sounds like they must have overcome whatever air burst issues they were having.
We didn't find UFO's; We make them.
Ah yes, you have found American defense contractor RUclips, enjoy the guitar solos
Ah yes the amp round or hemp round, we have them for the v3’s it’s an attachment kit but it’s only for overseas use rn
There’s also buttons on the gunner station for the types of rounds
Love the Ikea look 😊
im pretty sure they all have their own channels
Now that you have a headquarters it's time to go back to gaming. COD 1, 2 and 3 are waiting for you 😂
RUclips in light mode? You monster.
Very nice Brother
