- Prince of Persia is back in classic style with a 2D action platformer. Prince of Persia's 2D iteration looks to be an action-heavy Metroidvania with incredible boss fights. Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown releases January 18, 2024.

I loved the Ori games it breathed life into the 2D platform genre , couldn’t ever get me to play those type of games before the ori games . So because of that I’ll give this a chance

@@SmolAnarchy Again how is that relevant? How is rock music better than rap for PoP? And I have played the OG PoP and saw as kid my brother play PoP and watched walk through of the Sands trilogy, even the obscure battles of prince of persia, so I know of this franchise very well, especially its former spin-off, AC.
@@basilofgoodwishes4138 You didn't play the last games of Prince of Persia where they used persian music. We were heading to a good direction, in the late games, not he early games. So yeah. How is your point relevant when we had classic ancient persian music?

This feels like Prince of Persia without the prince of persia. Noone gave a damn about PoP before Sands of Time, which is still considered the peak of the franchise next to Warrior Within. The tone of this new game is way off. Why does the hero look like he's about to spray a sick ass tag on a temple wall? Why the rap music? Why the hip undercut dreadlocks? Why does this feel like it belongs in the universe of Fortnite or Saints Row more than PoP? Fans have been waiting for a new entry for years now but Ubisoft doesn't know what to do with the franchise since Assassin's Creed took over everything. We are at a point where we would just happily take a simple remake of Sands of Time to get anything at all and now they present a small 2D game with a vibe that has absolutely no connection to the franchise. This is beyond disappointing. It is disrespectful because it shows that Ubisoft doesn't know, understand or listen to it's audience.
If you told me yesterday there was a nice Prince of Persia I would have been hyped but this looks bad
