You saved me 800 bucks was about to replace the ac condenser. Then I saw your video I had exact same issues. By clearing the code everything works again. GM should tell u a when they turn off ac via the computer.
@@JamesF406our 2020 RS just went into the shop with all these symptoms. Dealer trying to say if it’s the t-stat it’s not covered. We’re at 58k miles. Did the dealer try to fight you on it being covered?
Today our light came on. We went to O’Reillys and had it hooked up to the computer reader. It came back as P01F0 which is either the thermostat or this sensor. It doesn’t run hot, heat blows and works well, fan comes off and on. Any suggestions?
I have a 2019 Blazer RS and now with the dealer. It has 23,560 miles on it and having the thermostat replaced. My car was running fine. Check Engine light came on however noticed that the temp gauge did not move. The next day the temp gauge moved. I did not have a loud fan noise and the A/C and Heater worked fine as it should. Good News! I have the Extended Warranty so It is covered.
My wife has same car same exact problem we also got code for variable value timing sensor. Makes me wonder if could be fuses. We have a 2020 got it in 2020 first and only owner just passed 80k miles in hot Arizona engine runs hot all the time change air filters with every oil change Arizona is very dusty lots of sand storms.
My fan been running high for a couple months now and now my heat not really getting hot. They told me it’s the engine coolant floor control valve? P0494
So today, quick update..this was done 6.9.23 and today date is 9.29.23, the original problem cam back so we took it to the dealership and they told us the thermostat was not opening or closing correctly, I argued the fact that is was just replaced and after going round and round, they paid to have the thermostat replaced. I talked with the service manager and it still.looked brand new, I am not sure what's going on with these thermostats but they definitely are defective. Even if your over you 60K warranty, I would fight it, chances are they will cover it. Good luck!
I got a 2021 blazer and they replaced the temperature sensor and it started doing it again mechanic said my thermostat is good so what else can cause it to
@walteralexanderpinedarodri8158 it's hidden deep under the intake, left side of the motor looking straight at it, you have to get a flashlight a d stick it down it there to see it.
It seems very clear Chevy has a flaw with this . Just bought a 2019 Blazer with 49000 , 1 st day home developed a shudder then went to dealership where they replaced valve body and torque converter. Got it back just in time fie a 4 hour road trip one way to visit son In college, ONLY to get back and go to work Monday morning and this happens. STEERING ASSIST DISABLED- DRIVE WITH CATION !
I used my scan tool to clear the codes and it seemed to fix the problem. No codes came back and all warnings went away as well. I did have to clear them with it running though.
Hello James ,I have same issue with 2020 Chevy Blazer , GM dealership saying need to replace thermostat but power train warranty does not cover. How to buy that sensor and replace it,could you please make another video for replacement and parts
Why is the video called “replace coolant temp sensor” if you didn’t even show how to replace it?

The temp sensor, not sure why they don't replace both at the same time.
@@JamesF406 My GM dealer replaced the the thermostat with sensor. Since I have an extended warranty, no charge.

Update to update, code came back and it's back at the shop😢
@JamesF406 anything else mine started to do this ..
@robertpinson9919 Yes, they ended up changing out the temp sensor I just put in 2 months ago, so far the code has not returned.
Good thing is they warrantees it all. If they give you a Hassel, open up a GM case using the 800 number.
@@JamesF406still all good? I’ve got the problem right now and don’t know if I should replace the temp sensor or the thermostat first

He probably should've went ahead and just changed the thermostat if he was in there already.
What did you end up doing about it. Mine is having a similar problem
Same 60k, changed out the coolant sensor which was a major pain bit easy...it's stupid.
where is the sensor located??@@JamesF406
I wonder if an update caused this.. we got like 60 k on mine.
It's the thermostat, talk to GM and get it replaced asap under warranty
What did it end up being ? My blazer is doing the exact same thing
Cheap coolant temp sensor that requires taking the entire top end off to replace....bullshit!!!
Really did you figure it out?
@motodad1856 yes..the new sensor fixed the issue
Hey James, Where is this sensor located? I have this problem but I can't locate the sensor to replace it.
