Thank you , old school guys like me just don,t realise how much info the ECU uses off these things , it looks like it,s worth regarding them as a service item . If your fan does not start like mine , & you suspect slight coking on injectors , change the temperature sender , as it,s quite possibly telling the ECU that the engine is stone cold all the time , when it is not . Test data on internet ! that,s a new one on me but I,m checking it out . Many thanks from central england .
Does anyone think a bad coolant sensor in my car be the primary cause of massive coolant loss occurring every 40 miles? my entire reservoir tank is empty every 40 miles, but I see not obvious leaks anywhere and no engine light is on for code scanning to narrrow down the causes for my coolant loss with overheating shortly afterwards,
