  • Taking My KIA e-Niro EV to a service appointment.
I am having a friction sound on my steering wheel. Are they going to fix it under warranty?
    What the service will cost?
    New windshield wipers

Some EVs hide the degradation from the user until it drops below a certain level; presumably in this case somewhere around 64kWh. The best way to measure battery capacity is to see how many kWh the battery pack can accept (minus small losses from the charger and cable) when charging from "0%" to "100%", but that's difficult to do in practice.
If you occasionally (e.g. once a month) charge to 100% on AC to allow the BMS to balance the cells, this will help to calibrate the range estimation on the dashboard. Plus you can measure your range from 100% charge periodically using the trip meter and then keep a record of how your range is doing (at different times of year and in different conditions), with an expectation that the range will drop slightly each year.

I wonder then at what point the capacity will drop from 67 to 64kwh, I will be doing 90,000 service soon. I think it will be the moment when it starts.
I will do a range test, that is a good idea for a video

@@edgarev7586 I'm looking at a 2020 e-Niro this week with over 100k (km) on the clock, so I'll try to read the BMS to see if that still reads 100%

The HV battery SOH indicated by the car seams to always be 100%. Mine has 115000km and the obd reader still shows 100% SoH but I know it's not correct
