@@SOMNIOHM I totally agree. The MTX is one of the best out of the box trucks ever made. The biggest problem is that it's deficiencies will never be fixed in the aftermarket just because they aren't that popular. The steering system for instance just isn't that great and there's not really much you can do about it.
Thanks man. I think you're really going to enjoy the MTX. Needs a few tweaks but it's overall an extremely durable platform. Other than the shock shafts I would say it's one of the most durable out of the box vehicles ever made. I ran the + two for quite a while which is basically the same platform and it was very impressive
@@hashimrahman51 not something I will do because I don't really have access to a local skatepark and I know what skate parks do to RC cars but I don't think you're going to find a more durable out of the box car on the market. haha crazy ! problem with monster trucks is that you can't really put that power to the ground because of their high center of gravity. but the feels of 8s is delicious ! hard to show this feeling on camera
Yeah the KV on this motor was a touch low too. Unfortunately no room to put a bigger pinion on. I'll have to get a higher KV motor if I want to stick with 8S on this. Still undecided.
@@DoRC that's why i made 2 braces on the sides and took off the stock rear brace. this allowed me to put a 4292mm motor with a big pinion ruclips.net/video/QP9ilpzJGnI/видео.html

Yes. There are even holes in The ESC mount that aligned perfectly with hobbywing ESCs. Thanks for watching if you aren't already subscribed a sub is appreciated :-)
I’ve got the rtr version I’m putting in a max6 g2 stock gearing …..please could you recommend a suitable motor size length and kv …many thanks in after good speed and nice torque
Unfortunately I don't have this anymore and so I can't measure the spot to give you a specific dimension. I'd recommend joining the hobao group as there are a few people on there that are pretty knowledgeable on the truck
Maybe though you would need to drill holes to do it. I really don't think the brace is necessary. The chassis is so strong on its own that I think you'd have a hard time bending it no matter what you did. I just put it on because I already had it from my +2
@daig1984 ah ok. Yeah I couldn't remember what the stock motor was and I'm not at a place where I could look it up at the moment. Glad you got it worked out.
4082 is pretty much going to be the max. 4092 is going to be way too long. Even if you chopped out the brace behind it I don't think it would work. That being said 4082 on 8S is a lot of power
Just got this motor already had the max 6 ..I put in the infraction after team Corraly esc went up I was going run 8s through 2050.4078 just for a speed run or too poor man speed rig lol but now I have 1650 kv motor I may put in Mojave or something
Check out the unboxing!

Yep plenty of power!
Try long range upgrades and put an FPV camera on it and take it out on a long run somewhere
That'd be fun. FPV is awesome!

Thanks for the reviews on the MTX ! Mine is ordering :) :) You speak about 1M oil for the central diff but what about front and rear please ?
Not sure as I've just left them stock. If I were to put something in I would probably put 100K but that's just a guess.
Awesome 👌.
Is the Max6 straight fit without any adjustments?
Yes. There are even holes in The ESC mount that aligned perfectly with hobbywing ESCs.

Does the 42mm motor fit without mods? I'm planning on buying roller and sticking a 4082/4282 in it myself
