    Thanks for the great review! Just tried on both Nimbus 23 and 24 at a store today. I must say FF Blast+ does make a big difference! The 24 is quite a bit softer. The 24 also seems more neutral. When I put on the 23, I could feel the inner half of the insole (from big toe mound to inner arch) noticeably higher than the outer half. I guess it's designed to compensate for underpronation. The 24 felt more level.

    Great video! I've been a Nimbus users since the 16's. The 23's were honestly pretty great and went through three pairs, but the 24's (in my humble opinion) have been the best yet. Right out of the box they performed great and needed very little break-in time.

    here in brazil, people are questioning the nimbus 24: the shape was too narrow and the shoe was less durable compared to the nimbus 23

    Thanks a lot for the well-organized comparison. I had a few articles open to peruse, then came across your video. Closed those tabs. Got all the info I needed for differences and whether it's worth the $10 difference. It's a different shoe now underneath, regardless of the upper aesthetic. Even the tongue is really different.
    Everything I like about Nimbus, and why I pick it over Kayano, seems more exaggerated and I'm looking forward to it.

    i got the 24 in E width they are more narrow than the regular D width in the 23. Switched back to running in the 23 more comfortable. The tongue in the 24 is thin not padded

    Thanks for the video. How well do these hold up? I have not worn them, but I have held them in my hands, and they are featherweight light. I worry that neither the soles nor the uppers are going to wear well. In fact, I have read a number of reviews that state that buyer's toes came right through the upper mesh very quickly, and that the soles showed significant wear after only eight weeks.

    Would this suite someone who loves the novablast 2 but needs a tad more stability ?

      Hi Shane,
      Great Question. You are on the right track with this suggestion, however I would entertain the Nimbus Lite 3 over the Nimbus 24 if you are looking for a touch more stability over Novablast 2. The overall profile of the Nimbus Lite 3 is closer to the Novablast 2.
      Here is a link to my video on Nimbus Lite 3: ruclips.net/video/Mah2GGKRZQs/видео.html

    I've just bought a pair of Nimbus 24 and have found a significant difference in the sizing. I've been wearing mens 4e width in 9.5 for over 10 years but the pair i received today are around a size too big. Has anyone else found this?

    I work in hospitality on the lake. 12-15 hours running a lot. After a 14 hour shift my toes went numb and the feeling hasn’t returned yet. Also I have problems with my Achilles. Do you think the nimbus 23 or 24 would be a good choice? They both felt amazing and soft on my feet.

    I have met with an accident a year back has my ACL and Meniscus repaired via arthoscopic surgery my surgeon now suggest me to go for Nike Air max 360 which is sadly discontinued in India.According to my doctor he advised me to wear shoes which have good quality cushioned sole on the inside and outside along with a complete air passage from toe to heel. Need an opinion on which shoe do I need to buy amongst Asics nimbus gel 24,Nike ZoomX Invincible Run Flyknit 2,Nike zoom x vomero 16 and nike react Miller 2.As I can't spend every year need a shoe which is highly durable and long lasting. Pls suggest.

    Other than the drop, is there a difference between mens and womens shoes? I'm a man with an old ankle injury who wears a size 11, but I find the higher the drop, the better my ankle feels. Am considering going with a womens size 13 for the extra drop.
    Really appreciate your reviews.

    • @SportitudeAus
      @SportitudeAus  2 года назад +2

      Hi Mac, thanks for the comment and feedback.
      The other difference between the mens and the womens is the 3D Space Construction that Asics have been doing for some time now. They use this construction in the forefoot and heel in the womens compared to just the heel in the mens. So you may potentially find that the higher drop in the Women's plus the 3D space construction may make the shoe a little more unstable for your ankle. The size 11 mens would equate to a size 12.5 Womens and you would also need the Women's wide fitting (D width, which is in theory the same as the mens standard D width).
      Hope this helps!

    Hello from the United States. I was first introduced to the ASICS running
    shoe during Army basic training. This was in 2004. Ever since then that’s the only shoe I have purchased. Sport shoes. I’m interested in the nimbus 24 for a trip to Disney world in October with my family. This trip will have a lot of walking and standing. When I was in the Army I could walk anywhere in boots or shoes. From the hot sands of Iraq to cold streets of Midwest. But now I’m a little older and have sore knees. I’m a little worried about how well my feet will hold up five days at Disney world in October.
    Is this the right shoes for this trip. Thank you.

    • @SportitudeAus
      @SportitudeAus  2 года назад +1

      Thanks for the comment! The Nimbus 24 would be a great shoe to walk and stand around in for a few days. However, after spending a few days in a row in any shoe the midsole will compress quite rapidly and it's likely the shoe won't feel as nice as it did towards the end of the trip than it did at the start. It would potentially even be worthwhile trying out something a little more cushioned such as the Hoka Bondi or New Balance Fresh Foam More if you are after something with a lot of cushioning and foam under your foot.
      Hope this helps.

    • @bigbluenationsmith2489

      Yes your commitment helps very much. I did try the hoka one one a few days ago. The only problem I had with the hoka was the padding around my right ankle would rub and make a raw spot. Only my right ankle had this problem.
      I thought there was to much padding in that area, because it’s not the first shoe That has done that.
      The New Balance I tried on just the other day. I liked the way it felt while walking through the store. But my very popular size 10 was out of stock. I tried a size 10.5. The store said to check back on Friday they have a delivery. But thank you so much for your reply. Have a good day.

      Adidas ultraboost is way better for daily walking. For me at least. You should try it.

    • @bigbluenationsmith2489
      @bigbluenationsmith2489 2 года назад

      I never even thought about that. That’s a really good idea.
      I’m going to try some more shoes on Sunday. I’ll ask about the ultra boost. The reason we are looking for shoes now is so we get them broke in by October. there is a lot of walking and standing at Disney World Orlando Florida.
      My neighbor was going this next week and he said they are going to wear sandals. he said if your feet get wet they’ll dry really fast. makes really good sense.

    Hallo, i would like to know if the Nimbus is waterproof ?
    Thank you.

    • @SportitudeAus

      Thanks for watching! Unfortunately the Nimbus isn't offered in a waterproof. There are however some other options from Asics that are waterproof if you are interested?
      The Trabuco 9 and Sonoma 6 both come in a Gortex (GTX) option which as a waterproof upper.
      Hope this helps!

      @vitory4life00 or Nimbus 24 V Glycerin 20.... I was sent a pair late last year, before Brooks had to adjust delivery time frames for the new Glycerin 20 to middle 2022.... As I feel the 19 is excellent, but the Glycerin 20 is something else.... and a Nimbus 24 v Glycerin 20 would be a lot of fun
      Thoughts?

    I bought the Asics Nimbus 23 shoes for running and it has been a complete disappointment and an absolute nightmare. I had used the shoes for only about 250*kms of running appro, and already the shoes are tearing apart. I had spent a ridiculous amount on these shoes, expecting a good quality product from Asics. Unfortunately, the quality of shoes sold by Asics in India is very poor. What's worse is that the customer care team is unwilling to provide any support, leaving me stuck with a defective product. I urge everyone to be aware before making a purchase of Asics shoes. These shoes are a waste of your hard-earned money and will only lead to disappointment. If you're thinking of buying Asics shoes, think again! Save your money and invest in a better brand that values their customers and produces quality products. Asics Nimbus shoes are a complete waste of money and a disgrace to the sportswear industry.

    Sorry, thumbs down for me. Need to find another reviewer, way, way, too much talk, the reviews get lost and confused under so much talk, talk, talk. Suggestion, speak less, say more, cut out the fluff, WE DON'T HAVE THE TIME. Suggestion: 1) Start by how the shoes FEEL 2) at the end explain why, content etc. Most if not all of us shoe for 1) #2 is just details which come secondary and some of us couldn't care less. Start by how shoes FEEL.

    Nimbus 24 or the Cumulas 24??

    • @SportitudeAus
      @SportitudeAus  2 года назад +2

      Really depends... I think the Cumulus is one of the best value for money shoes on the market. What you lose is an additional element of plush cushioning under the foot. Support they are one of the same, in saying that the Nimbus being a little softer will be better for rigid foot types (offering a more compliant midsole) and the Cumulus being slightly firmer, with hold up better for hypermobile foot types. This being said we base this fitting outcome off our RunDNA Australia assessment, which requires a more detailed understanding of the biomechanics and shoe comfort from the runner.
      I know I haven't answered your question but this at least gives some deeper insight into how we split the two shoes. I still think the Cumulus 24 is great value for money.
      Happy Running
