This video is a max cushion daily trainer running shoe review of the Asics Gel Nimbus 24 after 100 miles that features the new FF Blast + midsole foam. The retail price for the Asics Gel Nimbus 24 is $160.00 U.S. dollars. They are a neutral road shoe that I ordered true to size. Enjoy the video.

Best Max Cushion Daily Training Running Shoes of 2021 - Спорт
Recently been watching a few running channels and I have to say this review/video is the best I have come across. Excellent detail, really useful, and looking at the conditions you ran in, very impressive. Thank you….I have subscribed 👍👏👏
Hey Steven. Thanks for subscribing. Welcome! I'm glad you enjoyed the video. I hope you are having a great weekend. Stay safe!
Gotta love the extra tips you gave on the durability of the sole last year.
Hey thanks Melissa I appreciate it. Have a great day and thanks for watching.
Every word you said it’s spot on. I just reach this channel and I’m really impress about your approach of reviewing shoes(taking a shoe to 100 miles it’s really hard to do and takes a lot of time). Best of luck from Argentina💪🏻🇦🇷!
Hi Alejo. Welcome to the Run Tall family. I'm really glad you found us and that you enjoyed the video. I appreciate you taking the time to leave a comment. Have a great day and stay safe.
Thank you always for your honest review! Keep up the good work
No problem. Will do. Have a great day.
Had a Nimbus every year since the 14s - this edition is the best so far and they are great
Hi MarieClaire. I’m glad they are working so well for you. I like them too. Have a great day and stay safe!
Very sick review. This is how reviews should be done. Will definitely be purchasing the shoe now
Hey thanks Alan! I really appreciate it. Have a great day and stay safe!
Perfect timing. My new pair just arrived!
Awesome! I hope they work well for you. Have Great day and stay safe!
Thats an excellent work on the review! Thank you so much
Glad it was helpful! Have a great day and stay safe.
Just received mine today. Best daily trainer I've ever had the privilege of stepping into. The comfort and response level is second to none. I gave my novablast 2 away after running in these. The fit is spot on, the knit tounge holds down the foot perfectly and is much appreciated in the 24. I can't really think of any down falls besides maybe if they could cut the weight even more these would be easily my favorite shoe on the market today.
That's awesome. I'm so glad they are working so well for you. Have a great day. Stay safe!
thank you, it was nice of you for sharing the review
Hi Rosa. No problem I’m glad you liked it. Have a great day. Stay safe!
My favorite shoe!! I've been purchasing since the 22 version.
That's awesome. I'm glad they are working so well for you Ana!!! Have a great day and stay safe.
Really appreciate this review Tim! I am going to purchase this in either the white/green color you have here or the black/white. Just figuring out sizing. :)
Hi Sam. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do. Have a great day!
Great review. New to the running and had to return Nike Pegasus 37 as I got injury due to the sharp curved edge on the heel. Now I got this Gel Nimbus 24 MK version and I really like the comfort and the stability of the shoe. Will have to put more miles to unlock the gel comfort.
Hi Nagesh. I'm sorry the Peg 37 didn't work for you. I'm glad that the 24 is working out so well. It was one of my favorites for last year. The impact protection of the gel in the forefoot worked well for me. Thanks for sharing. Have a great day.
This review is perfect timing for me!
Awesome. I’m glad you liked it. Have a great day.
So many wonderful choices out there!
There sure is!!! Are you fully recovered from your Marathon?
I like about the maximum protection part of your review. That's what I need more than performance on any shoe right now.
It is at the top of my list as well. The 25 is very different but still does a good job. I love the 24! Have a great day. Thanks for sharing.
I love the looks of the nimbus in all black
Hi Frank. Awesome. Thanks for sharing. Have a great day and stay safe.
Excited to see how it performs!
Thanks. Have a great day. And stay safe.
Thanks a lot for your honest and accurate reviews, Tim. I've been wondering if Asics Gel Nimbus would give me sufficient amount of cushioning like before. Yeah...like you pointed out, Hoka Bondi 7 was a bit too stiff under my feet.
Hi Jean. I can’t say for certain that the Nimbus 24 will work for you but I think it’s worth a look. Have a great day. Stay safe!
@@RunTall Haha...you're right. Well, actually, since I tasted the sweet marshmellowy cushion under my feet in Nike Zoomx Invincible Flyknit, I've had trouble finding satisfaction with other running shoes at the moment. (Yes, some days, my ankles feel a bit wobbly in the shoes without carbon plates equipped, but I've been so spoiled in Nike Zoomx Invincible these days. Lol...)
Thanks, very helpful review for me
No problem. I’m glad you liked it and found it helpful. Have a great day and stay safe!
I keep getting calf cramps (over 50) and to lesson the damage I might try these for 3-6 miles runs. I can get em for 70.00 right now. Thanks for the review.
I hope you enjoy them as much as I do. I'm testing out the latest version right now. They are nothing like these. Asics went tall on their midsole stack height. I hope you get your calf cramps under control. Have a great day.
Tried all available shoes in the store.
Nimbus 24 are imo the best shoe for me at the moment.
I have really enjoyed these this year. The impact protection is what has kept me on my feet and running. I'm glad you like them. Thanks for sharing. Have a great week.
great review!,
That's Carlos. I appreciate it. Have a great weekend and stay safe!
Thanks for taking time to post this review. I have just bought a pair of these and found up they come up quite narrrow comapred to my previous pair of Cumulus 24's. Did you find that they loosened up a bit once they were broken it?
I’m glad you liked the review. They did loosen up some. I hope you can get a good fit in them! Have a great day and stay safe!
Now that the Nimbus 25s are about to come out, I just got The 24s for 40$ as a last size pair 😂 What a steal price
That's a steal! Awesome buy. Well done. It always feels good to get a bargain on quality running shoes. They cost way to much in my humble opinion. Have a great weekend.
I have never had ASICS shoes because, I never liked their designs, but this one looks cool
Hi Mallie. They are a very comfy max cushion shoe. I've really been enjoying them this year. Have a great day and stay safe.
Glad to know womens are different from men.
I wore 7.5 US mens and 9 for Womens. I had the privilege on having wide variety of colors to choose from. Thanks for mentioning they're different.
No problem. I’m glad it helped. Thanks for watching. Have a great day. Stay safe.
This sounds like the right shoe for me at 6’0” 200+ lbs, I already had a meniscus injury so I need good protection, I don’t care about them being the fastest or any of that, I’m not breaking any records anyways.
I think you'd like it. Its been one of my favorite max cushion shoe this year. Have a great day.
Hey Tim. I am a bit scared of a 10mm drop as I run in mostly 0-8 mm shoes. How did the drop feel in this shoe? Is it the kind of shoe that compresses more in the heel than the forefoot, and thus feels like a lower drop? Or does it have a stout heel that makes it feel like it really is a 10mm. Thinking of grabbing these or the new cumulus 24 when they come out. My current DT is the Hyperion Tempo. Light and soft, but stable and not too high of a drop. Let me know what you think.
The heel doesn't compress really so you do feel the drop. Most of the cushion I feel is in the midfoot and the forefoot. They aren't super soft or bouncy. They do a great job I think with distributing the force of impact from your foot strike. Have a great weekend. Stay safe.
@@RunTall thank you for the comment! Exactly the response I was looking for. Videos amazing as always. Cheers!
Have a great weekend!
I was just curious to know apart from youtube what do you do
Hi Kayleigh. I am a retired school administrator. This RUclips channel is my hobby. Thanks for watching. Have a great day and stay safe.
Do you waterproof the shoes? If not, do you think a waterproofer spray will be safe to use on them? Also, are these equally great for plain walking? Thnx.
No I don't. There are lots of gore tex running shoe options out there where the shoes are made to be water resistant. The upper on these is very soft and I'm not sure what a waterproof spray would do it. Have a great day and stay safe.
It's only one who finds these nimbus too narrow in general? Same size the Novablast 2 feels wider in the whole foot and more space for the toe box. Gt 2000 is narrower than Novablast but wider than Nimbus 24 which I had to lace them in a particular way and wear light socks to use them. 😫
Hi Exeivier. Thanks for taking the time to share your experience in these. It’s frustrating when shoes don’t fit right and you have to work at lacing them differently to be able to wear them. I appreciate to sharing and sorry to hear they aren’t fitting well for you. Have a great day. Stay safe.
I also found Nimbus 24 too narrow and that's why I went for Novablast 2.
Hi Tim,
I recently did my first 5k park run (40 min) I get pain on my Achilles’ tendon mainly . I ran with the more V3 . Would be able to suggest something for a beginner like me . I have metatarsal pain generally prefer wide toe box . Thanks and keep rocking
Hi Sumanth. Congrats on running the 5K. Sorry to hear that you are having some foot pain. You might like this shoe, the Asics Gel Nimbus 24. They do feature gel in the forefoot that might help with your foot pain. Another shoe that works for a lot of runners is the Nike Pegasus 38. They feature an air unit in the forefoot that offer a little more cushion and have a comfortable midsole and upper. Have a great day. Stay safe.
@@RunTall thanks a lot tim , the brooks glycerine 20 is out . What’s your take on it
New balance rc elite v2 AND NO MORE PAIN
Hey thanks for sharing! Have a great day and stay safe.
Would these be a good sneaker for working a job where I’m on my feet a lot?
Hi Rick. Yes they’d work well for that. The newest Gel Nimbus 25 is another great option. I’ve been wearing the 25’s a lot when I’m going to be on my feet for an extended period of time, and they are very comfortable. Thanks for the question. Have a great day.
Here in UK they165£ nearly 200$ expensive I start with walking feel really comfortable but on treadmill they wasn’t that comfortable
That's pricey. It's too expensive in my opinion. It's a good running shoe just over priced. Have a great weekend. Stay safe.
I am looking for the best model shoe with the best cushioning for standing and walking all day. Would you choose asics nimbus 24 or nike zoomX invincible run flyknit 2?
Hi Utku. I’d personally go with the Asics Gel-Nimbus 24 for standing and walking all day. They are very comfy. The Invincible Run is to bouncy. Have a great day.
Thank you
If the price is the same for Nimbus 23 and Cumulus 23 which is the best buy?
Hi Peter. I haven’t had the opportunity to run in the Cumulus. Unfortunately I can’t give you any insight between the two shoes. Have a great day and thanks for watching.
Hello sir!
Which one is more comfortable while running on roads. Novablast 2 or gel- nimbus 24
Hi Siddharth. I like the Gel Nimbus 24 for overall comfort on the road. Hey thanks for watching and have a great day.
@@RunTall Thanks sir u helped me again
nimbus means that green color right
Hi Mckenz. I believe Nimbus is a part of their cloud reference. They are their max cushion running shoe like running on clouds. Thanks for watching.
How do u think they hold for a half marathon
Hi Erick. They'd hold up just fine. They are not the quickest running shoe but they will give you comfort the whole way. Have a great day.
Tim how do these compare to the Hoka Clifton 8?? Thanks!
Hi Mark. They have a softer midsole ride. I don’t think they are as fast as the Clifton. Both shoes have a comfortable upper. Personally I prefer these for straight up comfort. Have a great week!
@@RunTall Thanks for the reply..my Cliftons just arrived today..I have be running in the Bondi 7s..comfortable but beginning to feel a bit clunky..will see how the Cliftons go..
Great. Let me know how they work for you. They are a favorite of many runners. Enjoy your new shoes!
Triumph19, Clifton 8 or nimbus 24, who is the most comfortable??
Hi Denny. The Nimbus 24 feels the most comfortable to me. I enjoy them all but the cushion level and impact protection is pretty great in the Nimbus. Have a great day and stay safe.
@@RunTall thanks 🙏
How long do they last? I’ve heard they have a poor longevity only lasting around 300 miles?
I haven’t put 300+ miles in them yet. So far they still feel great. My sense is 300 to 400 will probably be it for them but I haven’t gotten there yet. Have a great day!
@@RunTall thanks. I went with the bike Pegasus 38 in the end. 300/400 just isn’t enough for me to warrant the price
Нow many miles did you run in these shoes? Аre they still intact and working well?
They’re still working great. I have 166 miles on them at this point. I’d have a lot more but I’ve been running in a lot of other shoes for review purposes on the channel and the train for various races. But they have a lot of miles left in them for sure. Still one of my favorites. Hey, thanks for the question. Have a great day and stay safe.
@@RunTall thanks!
Can I use this for daily runs?
Hi Belle. Yes. I think they work great as a daily trainer when your logging a lot of mile. Have a great day and thanks for watching.
NIMBUS 24 or CUMULUS 24?
Hey thanks for watching Tadej. I have had a change to run in the Cumulus 24 yet but it is on my radar and my wish list. I hope to pick it up soon. My next shoe review coming out are the Hoka Speedgoat 5 and the Puma Velocity Nitro 2. Have a great day and stay safe.
This or triumph 19 & 20 ?
Hey Wasif. For me, I'm more likely to pickup the Gel Nimbus 24. They are a little better at absorbing the impact of my foot strike and I've been dealing with ankle and shin pain for a while so I need all of the impact protection I can get. Hey have a great day. Take care.
@@RunTall any shoe better than nimbus 24 in term of impact protection??
I personally find the presence of gel on the forefoot quite annoying
Hi Charles. I can see that. They aren't for everyone, that's for sure. Thanks for watching and sharing your experience. Have a great day.
You said your favorite shoe was NB Fresh Foam what?
You started mumbling the end of the sentence. I’m not very familiar with all the shoes so I replayed your speak to listen over and over again. I can’t understand what you’re saying.
Sorry about that. It’s the New Balance Fresh Foam More V3. The downside is that the midsole foam feels like it’s going flat after 200 miles. Hey thanks for watching! Have a great day!!!
@@RunTall thanks. I should know the various models better, but I’m fairly new to the real running shoe game.
I tend to get heal and toe issues and need cushion but I also like some bounce or energy return as well.
I typically don’t go much more than a 3 mile or 5k, but I’m still interested in quality performance gear
I appreciate your content and your response to my comment.
That's awesome that you are getting into running. Sorry to hear you have a few foot issues though. Have a great day. Stay safe.
You overpronate a lot!
I do. It’s something I’ve had to learn to deal with. Hey thanks for watching and have a great day.
I can barely walk a mile and look at him
Thanks for watching and have a great day!
