#Maryland #Baltimore #explosion
According to the report, the neighbors smelled gas over the last few days, but did not contact anyone to report about it. For the love of God, PLEASE call someone if you smell gas. Please don't ignore it.
Exactly what I just said. Why wouldn't they report it?
Someone did call and report it, and the contractor that came blew them up
Houses sure are exploding a lot here lately
That's true 😮😮😮😮😮
Cant trust gas these days
yeah
@@louisejones5773 Almost like smart homes can go up at any moment.
Right! Never ever heard of homes exploding until the last few years. 🤔
”In Maryland alone, gas explosions have destroyed at least eight homes and three apartment complexes in the past five years.”
Amazing how briefly they talked about the two people that died
Walter white
News panders itself to the majority of its viewers, so yeah did you expect them to focus on human tragedy or BOOM EXPLOSION. Most of the world doesn’t care about the person anymore, just the sensation
@@SalSanchez-dy6cn no. Geeze people
Yeah… that felt wrong.
They don’t know much? Gotta respect their privacy and their families
This is happening more often across the country. It baffles me that first responders respond to a gas leak when in my humble opinion, local gas companies should be the first notified to immediately shut supply to the area of the leak and responders wait until the air is safe through monitoring before ANY VEHICLES or possible ignition source is allowed in the area.
You might want to BEGIN the story with reporting that two people died. Not mention it two thirds in as an afterthought.
title says deadly big whoop, people die every second, you'll join eventually.
I'm gonna go out on a limb and say the leak was on the interior!
lol
They just stated that residents said they smelled gas but no one reported it.
@@susannpatton2893 probably a bad leak inside the house over days. The electrician must not have noticed it.
The residents likely were smelling that house.
If it was throughout the neighborhood other fires would have started for sure after that explosion!
I hate using gas stoves . Just don't trust them .
Never first make a phone call if you smell gas. Get away first, then make the call.
It needs to be reported - apparently, they don't know about your rule
this is like the 3rd house to explode this year
I think more than 4
I can’t believe I live 1.5 miles away from that home 😟
If the owner or neighbor had informed about the gas leak or smell at the first instance then this incident could have been avoided :( RIP both
Not mentioned: the house was for sale and vacant. The home owners came to visit the house. Most likely, they did something to ignite the gas, say,, turning on a stove or restarting the hot water tank.
Thank you!
or something as simple as flipping on a wall switch. 😢😢😢😢
Do you guys follow og shadow? He said interesting thing about this type of news
Perhaps Baltimore gas and electric were there for a reason
Condolences to the family who lost a loved one in this tragic accident.
So there was a gas company employee there at the exact moment it blew up?
Was checking on it when it happened.
@@susannpatton2893bge contractor was checking up on electricity problem , not gas
again?
A friend's mother's house had a gas explosion in 2008 and the mother died. Lawsuit and they won 4 million from Gas Company due to old unmaintained gas lines going into the home. ( lawyers got biggest cut. 1 brother got 1 million and 2 other siblings got about 70 thousand each) Gas is very dangerous to use in homes and buildings where people live and work.
always blame gas leak
Could have been cyclopentane from a refrigerator
This reporter sounds way too perky to be reporting on something this bad
House blown into pieces. The gas may have been trapped in the basement.
Dude what's with the house explosions?
Same thing with wildfires. Federal control happening. A war of the states and the federal government.
Less regulation will mean more of this type of tragedy
explain why like im 5
Yes because the current regulations stopped it 😊
@seansossa4588 Because, the more the government gets their hand in things, the better everything gets always.
@@Noconstitutionfordemocrats
thanks friend.
I disagree with that perception.
Smaller gov = easier implementation and control of policies.
I feel like Federal is useful for ratification of a policy agreed upon by a majority of states tho..
@@Noconstitutionfordemocratsif I was writing that, it would be all snark. Sadly, given current day, I can't tell if you were earnest or snarky...
I will never understand the complacency of smelling gas and not acting immediately.
Gas leak 🤔🤔🤔
This is why i built my home without gas. More expensive utilities yes, but cant put a price on my families safety.
Insane
Why is this only happening in the east coast?
Unbelievable
Omg…this is why I am not a gas fan.

I bet those veterans with ptsd lost their minds to the sound of explosion
The destruction of this explosion is like a war zone. It’s amazing that the blast zone being that large that more people weren’t hurt. Anyone walking or driving by would have been killed or seriously injured. Thank God there wasn’t more people affected.
RIP and prayers of comfort to the victims and their families 🙏
Why do I want to hear how cowardly others are ?
Obviously, if neighbors smelled gas, it's an outside leak. Why didn't the gas company employee call 911 immediately and back away. He's to blame.
You cant blame the guy who lost his life!
@@NorseanNoo you actually can
How much gas needs to be in the home to explode like this?
At least they got the spider.
I know people like gas, but how about using induction cookers for safety and if people really want gas they can use a propane tanks instead of running a large volume of it?
Propane is crazy expensive. I'll keep my gas heat and hot water and add a gas detector.
Oh my, not one part of that house is even standing, all there’s left is flatness and debris, nothing stands😢, the explosion was so massive probably that the fire had no choice but to be small, and the house next door had freak damage to it because part of the roof collapsed, most likely due to the second floor not being able to handle the force of the explosion, the fire was a little toxic, and that’s probably why the other house next door melted the stuff inside and probably the building too
so if that was gas why wasn't there fire proceeding it. Doesn't make sense. And even with an electrical explosion you see fire as well. Was it something else?
OH wow 😢 Praying for the family of those who passed.
i smell gas a block away from me 0ver THE past year

The destruction of a civilization or an empire does NOT just happen suddenly. There are stages involved.
1) Too much expansion and conquest
2) The slow EROSION of its principal beliefs that it was built on
3) The slow and rapid degradation of its people, and the workers that keep everything running
4) Economic problems or problems with trading or any form of payments
5) The person or group of people in power giving the people the illusion that things are going to get better while at the same EXCERTING MORE CONTROL OVER THE PEOPLE
6) The LACK of resources being produced and distributed
7) People not having enough to eat, going hungry as a result of famine
8) A REVOLUTION by the people against the person or people in power
9) A loss in military power, its fighting strength to defend itself, due to internal war
10) A takeover by an enemy force

Gas leak?
That's why i wouldn't buy a house using gas. It's 2024 bruh. Swap to electric stoves lol
Yes, because electricity can't start fires and be controlled by a central authority.
@Noconstitutionfordemocrats because it's not just instantly going to explode. Sorry you got offended. Cope.
@@xGh05ttt The timing matters? You afraid of a little explosion?
Where I live it's common to have gas furnace and water heater even if stove is electric. Not cheap to replace a furnace just to convert to electric, unfortunately.
There was a big boom as it exploded. We need more gun regulation. Send some of them utility workers over to congress.
