As for character's with appropriate assist, they break down into if they possess correct assist for the first (middle) part of the combo, or assist suitable for the second (end) part of the combo.

Don't be discouraged from trying out characters I have not listed. If they are not here I either found the timing to be far too tight as to not be practical anymore, or I simply could not figure out how to make any of that characters assist work. Happy hunting!

Wong has openly said he prefers charecters with low execution walls. This is so he can focus more on strategy and less on execution. Wolverine already gives you a lot of bang for your buck, and mastering these combos takes time, time someone as busy as wong could use to play other games.
Although I do agree, I am not sure why more people don't use these, I can take out most charecters in 2 combos, plus new stuff I need to make another video with, wolverine is just too good.
haha, it isn't THAT new, I think it posted it back on gamefaqss in march when this came out. But thanks, i'm not heading to evo this year so I hope to see someone use it on stream. There is literally no reason why not to use these combos over the normal bnb crap we have, the positioning is the exact same, just more damage and meter.
@StrengthFTW Yah, the video should have examples of how wesker gun shot can be used for the first part, akuma for the second part (and allows for fatal claw loop), and you can use the akuma assist for mix ups into juggle, its the first example of the two assist examples in the beserker claw into mix up parts.
@Tofu00 my thoughts exactly. I think because wolverine can give you a lot of bang for very little buck, people never really try to see what he can do. I know this isn't rocket science or dante level flash, but squeezing out another half bar and 100k more damage can change the dynamics of a match completely.
Hell, that hulk DHC kills like 60% of the cast straight up.
Really really solid tech. Reminds me of the recently discovered akuma bread and butter, and how a game can be out for so long and something as obvious as this can completely blow through our heads like nothing! I use a high-level Dr. Strange and Nova, so the fact that an air dive kick gives the same loop properties as two of my mains have yet I've used wolverine and never would have thought to apply the same tech is just beyond me! Also, really nice catch on the MMLHS relaunch.
Yeah, I thought about the fact that Justin plays a lot of games in the competitive circuit, and how he wouldn't want to spend time learning stuff that, to someone with his skill, would not make as much of a difference as thinking about how to play the opponent.
It's obviously working for him (he won two majors and got Top 8 @ Evo) and it's not like he doesn't use new tech; I'd just like to see his Wolverine evolve. He took time to learn a new team, so why not new combos for his existing team?
I remember when this vid first came out and how great it was to see someone improve upon the mindless go-to BnB for Logan.
Every time since then, whenever I see Justin Wong playing Wolvie on stream, I'm always shouting at my monitor, saying, "WHY YOU NO MMHS????" Seriously, he may have been able to win some big matches because of this new BnB! Maybe he just doesn't know about it or he thinks it would be too hard to learn/incorporate or something.
@samtruong200 Yah. Notice how after the launch you want to enter MMLHS but time it so that you are falling as you hit S, this gives you enough time for the centurion rush to come for for you to OTG into it. I think at the end there is an example in the request
@samtruong200 The lower you let them get the ground the easier it is to do. So after a dive kick, let them start falling after the apex of the bounce before you start hitting them. The lower they are the more leniency there is in the repetitions.
@Faldur If I'm not mistaken, dooms beam can carry after wolverines OTG, so sent drones for the middle, then dooms assist at the end.
Also you can beserker slash into it for the jump loops.
Plus its not a bad assist for keeping pressure up anyway.
Does Akuma work for after the MMHS juggle off the divekick or does he only work for the last part? I use Wolv/Dante/Akuma and if I use Dante first it scales my damage and increases HSD a ton. I've tried both assists after the MMHS juggle off divekick and both seem to pop the character out too high to catch with s.H s.S
Akuma racks up the hit stun so don't try to catch him with a s.H or s.S, just immeditly go to s.S.
Then at the end, with the dante assist, dont go for tornado claw or beserker barrage, just go straight into fatal claw.

And I LOL'd when you said, "You don't really need an assist, do you?" and you proceed to magically connect that grounded Special for the relaunch XD
I keep finding these damn tutorial videos... And they're fuckin amazing. Thanks man. I'm a new Wolverine player (literally picked him up about 2 hours ago) and this has helped a lot. I'm just wondering, is there anyway to do a combo off say, Magneto's EMD assist?
this looks just great man, but I've been having so much trouble on connecting my assists or sometimes I just scale till the enemy recovers the milisecond I stop hitting him. Think you have any recent tips out there? anyway I've already improved with this vid.
@ramndude2 The spencer slant shot can extend anywhere as long as you are close enough. Follow up with L Tornado Claw for the loops, or H beserker barrage for more damage and meter
I'm having trouble getting to the 4th jump loop at the @2:05 combo. Is there some strategy to it? Also, whenever I do manage to get to the fourth loop, the S doesn't connect to go into air combo.
@canis760 what is the timing for the MMHS after they are hit with a ground bounce? I can't seem to get the S after the 2nd rep of MMHS. Sometimes the air S will hit but I can't get the relaunch afterwards.
I wish RUclips had a slow motion feature for vids like this. LOL! I have trouble keeping up with Logan is so fast. LOL! Need to practice with this but great stuff. Logan really steps your game up.

Forget my last comment, doom beam works as the first assist, the timing is just tight. Haven't tried rocks again, but I wouldn't be surprised to find that it works as well

whats the input for the simple aerial combo in the air? i can only do MMH + Drill Claw, i see players getting in 4 hits before drill clawing.

Try speeding up or slowing down your execution. In my head I let a quarter second go by after the dive kick to start the sequence.
If you are fast enough you probably can grab someone off of a whiffed beserker slash. Or maybe use it during an instant overhead.
What assist can doom use after the first mmhs? I've tried rocks and beam and they don't work, and missiles seems like an odd choice for Wolverine

I'm running wolv/sent/nova. should i be calling sent while i'm doing the MMHS in the air? so the inputs should be M M A1 H S? same for A2?
I dnt see pr rog and justin wong doing this..they just divekick then continue the combo on ground..good shit though. Ill use it
@samtruong200 I like to call Sent drones when I press H, keeps them low to the ground.

What's the trick to landing the third MMHS loop before launcher? I can never get it to connect for some reason.

@canis760 i am running centurion, so you call drone at the same time as the H? so i would be hitting H+A1

Oh man. It's been a while. I basically dropped out of fighting game stuff for a while because of health problems. I've been making my way back into the world, I might make that video.
Most of the new stuff was some great resets, some slightly revised ways to do the juggles, and a lot of techniques on how to kill off of happy birthdays from any position. That's what I can remember at least. I know I had some character specific set ups off this juggle that gave a guaranteed high/low mix ups off assist (wesker and dante).
I think I might do it.

Sorry to hear about the health problem. I hope it’s “fixable” stuff. There doesn’t seem to be any newcomers to this game, but I’m one, so I’ll be watching and reading up on all good stuff I come across, especially on Wolverine. The plan is to learn him really well and then I’ll experiment with all others. Even if will tire on him in matches and swap him out, I’ll still be practicing with him. So if you do another vid, I’ll sure be watching if you give me a heads-up if you post it. And thanks for this one, I’ve had the laptop next to me watching this during practice and so far I managed getting to the third jump. It sure seems very touchy on timing inputs while being really fast.
