  • Quick dive into the ITC Parwise and comparison with the Seneye Reef. I have to say I was surprised with the differences.

Great review. Seneye is known for overshooting par readings, it doesn't work well with leds. I'll go for parwise, seems it's a great choice for the price.

That was an informative video. I recommend that maybe mentioning the cost in the comparison would be of benefit?

I would think, and expect the parwise to have a better quality sensor in it. It cost $300 (seneye is $200) and the parwise is JUST a PAR meter and spectrometer. The seneye is a PAR meter and spectrometer but it also measures PH/ammonia/temperature/water exposure. If the parwise is $100 dollars more and has less features/capability, It should do the one thing it does better, by using a higher quality more accurate sensor, which would justify the higher cost.

Great video. New subscriber here! Do you think my seneye would still work being I have had it floating in tank for years doing nothing! Not sure if its actually worth trying to get it to work though after this video! I have read reviews on R2r saying this one compare to apogee 500 series. I have never seen a video comparing seneye to apogee tough! amazon has one too 100 cheaper then this and reviews say it compares to apogee as well. Not sure if it shows the pur and all because that is a great feature especially since I put tape over my some of my whites and greens on my strip light lol

I think it should still work 👍 Make sure you clean off the sensor real good with a toothbrush and give it a try.

Do you have any experience with comparing to apogee?

I have done a direct comparison between the PARwise and Apogee 510 on a commercial frag system. The readings for the PARwise were 30 par lower than the Apogee across the board.
