- PAR test taken at 3PM with my lights about 13-15” above the water.
It's time to check my par levels with the ITC Parwise meter! I usually try to get atleast every 6-8 months just to make sure my lighting is accurate for my corals. Shoutout to the Coralvue team for sending out the ParWise meter to use on my tanks and will definitely be testing out all of tanks using this meter.

I have one of these. Great product. I find using a wand makes it far easier to use and allows to get closer to the corals and space around them for a more accurate par reading. Merry Christmas all.
The mode your testing in was in air mode?
Awesome tanks! Thanks for using PARwise! Please get and share some of your results for the corals on the PARwise owners group if you get time :) - Craig.
what salt do you use on your reef tank if you don't mind me asking?
Is that with all lights. It’s pretty low if it is!??
PAR test is during blue hour which is around 3PM which is usually about 20-30% less intensity compared to when I have the lights at full power. I’ll probably do more tests at different hours in future vids.
@@Reefer_NYC ok then that’s great par. Thanks for showing the new par test results from itc
Would two of these be too much for a 36" tank?
would be perfect and give you room for when you upgrade tanks!
@@Reefer_NYC awesome, sounds like a plan. I should be able to get a bunch of sps with two of these on there. 😊
@@Pontiuspilate666 you'll be able to grow anything!
I noticed you went back to one gyre with the Nero. Were you getting inadequate flow with two gyres?
This is actually an old video that I didn’t post yet, still running two gyres
What is that red tree branching looking coral at the top/center of the tank? It looks like sps but moved a little bit in flow so doesnt seem hard like sps. Someone please tell me!!
Edit: figured it out. Red finger gorgonian, but he calls it a goni.
@@Danzig1387 red nps gorgonian. Yea I think said goni as well 😂
