This is such a perfect concept for a game. They could do so much with this if they wanted to. I like a lot that each car has its own kind of identity - they seem to have differing driving styles, and some have their unique sounds, and also obviously have varying weight, grip and power. It's a nice touch they didn't really have to make, but did anyways.
fun fact: this game has an alternate ending. The final level actually has a phone and an idling snowplow truck. the phone has a blue billboard above it saying "Way Back Home" while the truck has a red billboard above it saying "Join Us" and if you get into that truck, you get revenge on the man who got you into that mess in the first place as you full send the plow down a narrow tunnel

4:44 from what I’m seeing here I’m theorizing that these cars have trapped the souls of their drivers into themselves but would stage a terrible accident or repeat it after it’s happened before chasing down the player, and because of Kevin I’m thinking that very few people have actually learned how to control the cars and try to help any unfortunate soul who would end up in a situation like this, and if they’re caught, then well, we all saw what happened to Kevin afterwards.
Looks like the cars has some kind of souls consumed by the rage of revenga for what we can see from the "join us" ending, it is like a limbo where you have to survive to get out alive, other wise your souls will be stock in there forced to derive those cars over other souls for the eternity

I’d genuinely love to see some sort of horror movie come out of an idea like this, the game seems to genuinely build a great sense of atmosphere and eeriness to the setting. The faint hum of the cars in the distance, the small jingle you hear from the ice cream truck and how different cars play around with different sizes and speeds affecting their forms of movement. If the plot was a little more expressive then maybe we could make a whole movie out of this, the whole Angel theory you mentioned at the start could be a pretty cool plot line for a horror movie about killer cars 😂😂
