This was probably the best show I've ever been to.
Alex Wall ditto
my uncle went to this show...said it was "phenomenal" , and he's seen them every tour since 1993.
Mine was Jason Donovan in the Bournemouth International Leisure Centre in 1991. He was phenomenal.
This. Me too. So, right at the beginning... after a monster "2+2=5" opener, they go right into "Sit Down. Stand Up." He gets to the part where he repeats "the raindrops" over and over (that's 42 times folks), and it begins POURING OUT on the lawn... no shit. So, THEN they go into the "rain down on me" part of Paranoid Android. People were looking at each other like... "this shit can't be real, right?" Singing along and getting rained down upon. Magic. If you were on the lawn that night, you got to see the true gem about 30 minutes later, of watching the blood moon rise over the stage behind the band (unbeknownst to the band or anyone in the pavilion) as he sang "Sail To The Moon". It was one of the more spiritual/dynamic nights of my life. If you were there, you know.
@@cupofsun You remember so much detail!! They sounded amazing too, on top of all the other stuff XD
I was there. I believe it was the first time they played Creep live after a long break from it. Can't believe it's been 20 years.
Of the couple thousand ish live performances Ive attended in my life, this show is in the top 5.
This was my very first Radiohead show. As we were sitting on the lawn towards the back of the amphitheatre, we were worried about the forecast for thunderstorms, which we could see rolling on the horizon, the lightning synced up with the tunes. I am not even joking when I say that by the time they got to Sail to the Moon, the storm had cleared enough to reveal a full fucking moon. mind_blown.gif
I was there too and not only could you see the moon after the lightning storm, but Mars was the closest it had been in a long time and was a visible bright red dot next to the moon. Magical.
@@Monticello19 I wrote a comment above about my exact same experience... it's below the first comment. But yeah, this was a magical moment and I am so glad there are other people who still think about that moonrise, and those raindrops, from time to time. One of the best shows I've ever seen of anyone, and I've seen a lot.
My friend and I were way back tripping on the lawn when this happened and it blew our minds. We half believed we were hallucinating the moon popping out, glad to get confirmation it was indeed real after almost 20 years lol. Unbelievable show
One of the best shows I’d ever been to. So glad the audio exists.
Lucky bastard!
Was there. Fantastic set
I was at this show. It was amazing and I really can't get over how it's been 13 freaking years.
2+2=5, probably one of the best songs ever written!
20 years now. Damn. So glad I found this recording, it feels like I'm there again.
@@beantown_billy2405same.
Like others on this thread, this stands out as the best concert Ive ever been to. It is absolutely stunning.
This was some show, and I wasn't at it! This show changed my life just from the second hand description of a high school friend who went! The ondes martenot solo around 51:00 has influenced my interest in electronic instrument for like 20 years. thank you for posting this!!!
Phenomenal!!! Killer setlist! Love this one
Truly a magical experience.. wish it had been a smaller venue.. but it being outside made up for it. IMO the most talented and titillating band of the century.
The anti-Bush audience participation in No Surprises still gives me chills. Great concert!
I was at this. I got this on CD back before youtube fucking amazing the version of Kid A on this is out of this world
I got a bootleg of this concert back in 03 (I was here too). Kid A was brilliant that night.
wow
thank you
My first Radiohead show. Got to watch from the pit. What a night!
I remember listening to this in 2003 on Winamp as a teenager, such a damn good show.
incredible concert
HAHAHAHahahaha! Gotta love how Colin still had his bass on fuzz effect when Creep started from the song before, CUtW! Great stuff
I'd kill for that setlist
Radiohead in their absolute prime live. Wish I was there!
35:53 where end and begin
God, I love Raidohead. Life's soundtrack
i like how creep started off with the bass having fuzz, that sounded good for some reason
I'd give my firstborn son to have been at this show.
thats terrible...yet I completly understand
I was there, and it was magnificent.
